本発明はこのような問題に鑑みてなされたもので、その目的とするところは、終端時に作用するフィルムへの引張り力をなくすことのできる新たなフィルムの終端処理装置を提供することにある。

すなわち、本発明はこのような課題を達成するためのフィルムの終端処理装置として、フイルム終端部が紙管に固定されて巻回されてなるフイルムロールを、支持軸により上記紙管を拘止しつつ回転させて、フイルムを送り出す形式のフイルム供給装置において、上記フイルムの給送により上記フイルムが紙管から出尽くすことにより上記フイルムに作用する異常張力を検出する検出手段と、該検出手段からの異常検出出力をもとに、上記支持軸の回転停止と上記紙管に対する拘止解除とを行なう制御手段を設けた。

またさらに、この制御装置20には、フィルム繰出しモータ2の回転速度をもとにフィルムロールRの径を演算する演算手段26と、この演算手段26からの演算信号と警戒値設定手段28からの警戒値信号を比較し、演算値が警戒値を越えた場合にはリスタートリレー29を介してモータ制御手段23に停止信号を出力する警戒値領域検出手段27が設けられている。
