BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a control device for an electric power steering device in which a steering assist force by a motor is applied to a steering system of an automobile or a vehicle, and in particular, by providing a control device having excellent stability and responsiveness. It is to improve the feeling.
[0002]
[Prior art]
An electric power steering device that biases an automobile or a vehicle steering device with an auxiliary load by the rotational force of a motor assists the steering shaft or rack shaft with a transmission mechanism such as a gear or a belt via a reduction gear. The load is energized.
[0003]
This electric power steering apparatus is controlled by a control means, and electric power is supplied from a battery via an ignition key and a relay, and the control means is based on a steering torque detected by a torque sensor and a vehicle speed detected by a vehicle speed sensor. The steering assist command value of the assist command is calculated, and the current supplied to the motor is controlled based on the calculated steering assist command value.
[0004]
This control means is mainly composed of a CPU, but in order to improve the steering feeling by the steering speed of the steering wheel, the phase compensation means is incorporated, and the phase compensation means increases the stability of the steering system. Therefore, the steering torque is phase-compensated and the phase-compensated steering torque is input to the steering assist command value calculator.
[0005]
As this type of control means, for example, as disclosed in JP-A-8-282519, a steering torque detection means for detecting a steering torque applied to the steering system and a motor connected to the steering system are provided. It is known that the motor is controlled using a value obtained by phase compensation of the output of the steering torque detecting means by the rotational speed of the motor. That is, in this control means, when the rotational speed of the motor is slow, the phase compensation value of the steering torque is increased, the motor output is corrected by the differential component of the steering torque, and the steering wheel is smoothly operated.
[0006]
Other control means is disclosed, for example, in JP-A-8-91236. That is, as shown in FIG. 5, this control means comprises various arithmetic functions and processing functions using a microprocessor and a program, and includes a soft phase compensation means 121, a target current setting means 122, and a drive control means 123. The analog steering torque signal and the vehicle speed signal from the
[0007]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
The current command value is calculated based on the steering torque signal and the vehicle speed signal. As shown in FIG. 6, the gain (steering assist command value / steering torque) increases as the vehicle speed decreases and the steering torque increases. Is set. For this reason, at a low speed, the gain increases, and abnormal noise (vibration) occurs when the stability of the control system is poor or the vehicle turns. In order to suppress this and to achieve the optimum steering feeling according to the driving situation, the phase compensation characteristic is set according to the vehicle speed, but the phase compensation characteristic is set in the situation where the vehicle is not stable such as turning. When switching, there is a problem that the steering feeling is lowered due to a transient response.
[0008]
Therefore, the present invention is provided with a phase compensator capable of switching the characteristic according to the vehicle speed and a stability discriminator for determining the state of the vehicle in the current command value calculation unit, and the phase compensation characteristic is obtained when the vehicle is stable. An object of the present invention is to provide an electric power steering device that is robust against abnormal noise when stopped or traveling at a low speed by switching, and that can obtain an optimum steering feeling according to the traveling state.
[0009]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The present invention relates to electric power steering, and the above object of the present invention is to calculate a current command value based on a steering torque signal and a vehicle speed signal, and to provide a motor for providing a steering assist force to the steering mechanism based on the current command value. In the electric power steering apparatus that is controlled, a stability discriminator that determines the state of the vehicle is provided, and when the vehicle is stable, the characteristics of the phase compensation unit are switched effectively according to the vehicle speed. Achieved.

Next, the operation of the above embodiment will be described based on the flowchart of FIG.
[0018]
First, in step S1, a torque signal is read from the
[0019]
In step S3, a stability determination is made. If, for example, the yaw rate is a preset value at which the vehicle is considered to be stable, for example, 5 deg / sec or less, the phase compensator can be switched, and the process proceeds to step S4. If the yaw rate is greater than the preset value, the phase compensator cannot be switched and the process proceeds to step S8.
[0020]
Here, instead of the yaw rate, lateral acceleration, steering speed, or vehicle speed may be used, and determination based on these signals may be combined to perform, for example, logical product and stability determination.
[0021]
The signal may be an estimated value, that is, a value estimated by using a vehicle model from vehicle speed and steering angle sensor information as a yaw rate and lateral acceleration.
[0022]
Alternatively, the stability may be determined by comparing a smaller value of the estimated yaw rate and the yaw rate detected by the sensor with a preset value.
[0023]
As values for determining that the vehicle is stable, for example, the lateral acceleration is about 3 m / sec ^ 2, the steering angular velocity is 10 deg / sec, and the vehicle speed is about 80 Km / h.
[0024]
In step S4, the vehicle speed signal is compared with a set value stored in the characteristic map memory. For example, in order to switch the characteristics to three stages according to the vehicle speed, the set vehicle speeds 1 and 2 are determined in advance, and when the vehicle speed is higher than the set
[0025]
Next, when an optimum characteristic is selected according to the vehicle speed based on the comparison in step S4, the current command value is corrected in step S8 based on the characteristic. In step S9, the current command value The phase shift of the resonance frequency is compensated. In

【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the electric power steering apparatus according to the present invention, the current command value is calculated based on the steering torque signal and the vehicle speed signal, and the motor that gives the steering assisting force to the steering mechanism is based on the current command value. In the electric power steering apparatus controlled, when the vehicle is determined to be stable, the characteristics of the calculation unit that calculates the steering assist command value are switched in multiple stages according to the vehicle speed. No abnormal noise or vibration occurs during low-speed driving, and excellent response is achieved even during high-speed driving. Therefore, it is possible to provide an electric power steering with good steering feeling for any vehicle speed.
