【発明の属する技術分野】
本発明は、すくい縫い及び根巻きにより一のボタンを被縫製物に縫い付ける根巻きボタン付けミシンの被縫製物支持具に関するものである。

【従来の技術】
従来、この種の被縫製物支持具として、ミシンによる一のボタンの被縫製物へのすくい縫い及び根巻きに際し、端部にて被縫製物を曲折させて支持する曲折支持部を有するものが知られている。この被縫製物支持具は一般にタングと呼ばれ、水平方向に延びるよう形成され、ミシンの針が上下動する領域に被縫製物を水平方向に折り曲げた状態で支持する。

この被縫製物支持具が装着されたミシンにおいては、まず、ミシンのチャック等によりボタンを水平方向に支持した状態で被縫製物の曲折部分にすくい縫いを施す。この後、被縫製物を被縫製物支持具に支持させたまま、ボタンと被縫製物とを水平方向に離隔してボタンを垂直方向に支持することにより、ボタンと被縫製物との間で糸を緊張させて、糸に根巻きを施す。これにより、根巻き処理が施された状態で、ボタンがミシンにより被縫製物に縫い付けられる。

ところで、ボタンの被縫製物への縫い付け形態として、上記のように、一のボタンをすくい縫い及び根巻きにより縫い付ける他に、被縫製物の一面に配される上ボタンと、被縫製物の他面に配される下ボタンからなる二のボタンを縫い付ける形態もある。これによれば、下ボタンに上ボタンからの負荷が加わるので、被縫製物に直接的に縫い付けられるものに比べ、ボタンの取付強度が格段に向上する。

このように、被縫製物に上ボタン及び下ボタンを取り付ける際にも根巻きが施される。この根巻きを行う際には、上ボタン側及び下ボタン側を鉛直に保持する必要がある。しかし、前記ミシンではチャック等により一のボタンを保持することができるものの、二のボタンを保持することはできない。従って、衣服を製造する工場等においては、被縫製物に一のボタンを縫い付けるミシンと、被縫製物に二のボタンを縫い付けるミシンとを別個に設置している。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
このように、工場等においては、すくい縫い及び根巻きを行って一のボタンを被縫製物に縫い付けるミシンと、上ボタン及び下ボタンが既に縫製された被根巻き縫製物の根巻きのみを行う専用のミシンとを別個に設置し、製品に応じて使用するミシンを使い分ける必要があり、工場等にて衣服等を生産する際の自由度が低いという問題点があった。

本発明は前記事情に鑑みてなされたものであり、その目的とするところは、一台のミシンで、被縫製物のすくい縫い及び根巻きに加え、上ボタン及び下ボタンが既に縫製された被根巻き縫製物の根巻きをも行うことのできる根巻きボタン付けミシンの被縫製物支持具を提供することにある。

【課題を解決するための手段】
前記目的を達成するため、例えば、図1から図7に示すように、
請求項1記載の発明では、根巻きボタン付けミシン(100)に装着される支持具本体(3)と、
前記支持具本体に略水平方向に延びるよう形成され、前記ミシンによる一のボタン(8)の被縫製物(2)へのすくい縫い及び根巻きに際し、端部にて前記被縫製物を曲折させて支持する曲折支持部(4)と、
前記曲折支持部の上方に出没自在となるよう前記支持具本体に設けられ、前記曲折支持部の上方位置にて略鉛直方向に延びる状態となり、上ボタン(9)及び下ボタン(10)が既に縫製された被根巻き縫製物(11)における前記下ボタン側の糸(12)を上端にて支持し、前記被根巻き縫製物の前記上ボタン側の面を一側面にて支持する下ボタン用支持部(5)とを備えたことを特徴とする。
尚、ここでいう被縫製物とは、未だ一のボタンのすくい縫い及び根巻き処理が施されていない生地をいう。また、被根巻き縫製物とは、一面側に上ボタンが配され、他面側に下ボタンが配されるように、上ボタン及び下ボタンが既に縫製された生地であって、上ボタンと生地の間の糸に、未だ根巻き処理が施されていないものをいう。

請求項1記載の発明によれば、ミシンにて針が上下動する領域にて被縫製物と被根巻き縫製物とを選択的に支持して、被縫製物のすくい縫い及び根巻きと、被根巻き縫製物の根巻きとが選択的に行われる。
すなわち、下ボタン用支持部が曲折支持部の上方から退去した状態では、曲折支持部にて被縫製物が支持され、被縫製物のすくい縫い及び根巻きが行われる。
また、下ボタン用支持部が曲折支持部の上方に出現した状態では、下ボタン用支持部にて被根巻き縫製物の下ボタン側の糸を支持するとともに、被根巻き縫製物の上ボタン側の面が支持される。このとき、被根巻き縫製物の上ボタン側を、ミシンに設けられたチャック、或いは、支持具本体に設けられた他の支持部等によって支持することにより、上ボタンと生地との間で糸が水平方向に緊張した状態となり、根巻き処理が可能となる。
従って、下ボタン用支持部を移動させることにより、曲折支持部による被縫製物の支持と、下ボタン用支持部による被根巻き縫製物の支持とを選択的に行うことができ、一台のミシンで、被縫製物のすくい縫い及び根巻きに加え、上ボタン及び下ボタンが既に縫製された被根巻き縫製物の根巻きをも行うことができる。

図1に示すように、この被縫製物支持具1は、根巻きボタン付けミシン100に装着される。ここで、根巻きボタン付けミシン100は、ミシンの上部をなし前後方向に延びるミシンアーム101と、ミシンの下部をなし前後方向に延びるミシンベッド102とを有する外形が側面視にて略コ字状を呈するミシンフレーム103を備えている。また、根巻きボタン付けミシン100はミシンアーム101側に設けられ被縫製物2の縫製を行う針104を備えている。被縫製物支持具1は針104が上下動する領域にて被縫製物2を支持する位置に配される。以下、被縫製物支持具1について詳述する。

図2及び図3に示すように、この被縫製物支持具1は、ミシン100に装着される支持具本体3と、支持具本体3に略水平方向に延びるよう形成された曲折支持部4と、曲折支持部4の上方に出没自在となるよう支持具本体3に設けられた下ボタン用支持部5及び上ボタン用支持部6とを備えている。

図2に示すように、下ボタン用支持部5は、上ボタン9及び下ボタン10が既に縫製された被根巻き縫製物11を上端にて支持する鉛直延在部5aと、鉛直延在部5aの下端に一端が接続され支持具本体3の水平延在部3eの長手方向中央側へ延びる水平延在部5bとを有している。この水平延在部5bの他端は、支持具本体3の水平延在部3eに回動自在に接続される。これにより、下ボタン用支持部5の鉛直延在部5aは、図2に示すように、水平延在部5bの一面側が支持具本体3の水平延在部3eの上面と当接した状態で曲折支持部4の上方に位置し、図3に示すように、水平延在部5bの他面側が支持具本体3の水平延在部3eの上面と当接した状態で曲折支持部4から離隔した位置となる。
