Description

The present invention relates to a blade polishing apparatus.

Among this type of blade polishing apparatus, an apparatus having a V-shaped polishing groove for pressing and sliding the blade edge of the blade is known (for example, Patent Document 1). More specifically, the blade polishing apparatus of Patent Document 1 has a plurality of polishing strips arranged so as to intersect each other in a V shape, and these polishing strips are V-shaped polished between polishing surfaces formed on one side thereof. Grooves are formed. According to the blade polishing apparatus of Patent Document 1, since each polishing strip has elasticity, when the blade is polished, it is straightened by pressing the polishing surface against the burr of the blade tip, thereby shortening the time. This makes it possible to polish the blade.
JP 2004-90169 A

By the way, the blade edge of the blade is formed with an isosceles triangular section called a small blade at the tip portion, and it is preferable that the small blade is finished in a convex shape with rounded sides. Because, if both sides of the small blade are polished flat, the blade of the object to be cut becomes worse during cutting, so that it is difficult to bend and the thickness of the small blade is thin. This is because the blades are easily spilled and the sharpness deteriorates in a short time, and frequent polishing is required.

The present invention has been made based on the above-described circumstances, and an object of the present invention is to provide a blade polishing apparatus that has a simple structure, is excellent in its curling property, and has a long sharpness.

In order to achieve the above object, according to the present invention, a case, a slot formed in the case and receiving a cutter movably in the blade spanning direction, and adjacent to each other in the longitudinal direction of the slot in the case. A V-shaped polishing groove which is arranged to cross at a predetermined crossing angle and which expands toward the slot is formed at one end portion thereof, and is fixed in the case at the other end. And a plurality of elastically deformable polishing strips, and a stopper provided in the case and contacting the one end side of the polishing strip to determine the maximum opening width of the polishing groove. A polishing apparatus is provided (claim 1). Specifically, the case has a box-like shape and has an inner wall that also serves as the stopper (Claim 2), and the case is accommodated as an inner case so as to be able to protrude and retract, and the presser portion is used for polishing the blade. It further has an outer case that doubles as (claim 3).

In the configuration described above, when the cutting edge of the cutter is further pressed against the polishing groove while the polishing strip is in contact with the stopper, the polishing strip is elastically deformed so as to bulge outward. Such elastic deformation further expands the crossing angle of the polishing strip beyond the crossing angle determined by the maximum opening width of the polishing groove. That is, the crossing angle of the polishing strip is further expanded when the polishing strip is bent concavely with respect to the blade. When the polishing strip that forms the polishing groove is bent in this manner, the blade is relatively moved along the groove direction of the polishing groove and the cutting edge is polished. The both side surfaces are formed in a convex shape corresponding to the bending of the polishing strip, and the small blade angle is increased.

Further, the plurality of polishing strips are arranged radially, and the case has a cylindrical shape having the slot extending over the entire circumference of the case and the inner end wall also serving as the stopper, A motor for rotating the case and the polishing strip together is further provided.
According to this configuration, since the polishing strip is rotated by the motor, both side surfaces of the small blade are rapidly polished into a convex shape.

In the blade polished by the blade polishing apparatus according to claims 1 to 4, since both side surfaces of the small blade formed at the tip of the blade edge are polished in a convex shape, the object to be cut is easily separated from the blade, and the sharpness of the blade is improved. Get better. Moreover, since this blade can increase the blade thickness of the small blade, it is difficult for the blade to spill, and the sharpness lasts longer.
Furthermore, according to the blade polishing apparatus of the fourth aspect, the blade can be quickly polished.

1 to 3 show a blade polishing apparatus according to an embodiment.
The blade polishing apparatus has a rectangular parallelepiped box-shaped outer case 2, and an inner case 4 is accommodated in the outer case 2 so as to protrude and retract. The inner case 4 is formed of a U-shaped plate in which one end side of the outer case 2 is curved in a semicircular arc shape, and protrusions 4 a protruding toward each other are formed at both ends located on the other end side of the outer case 2. . The interval between the protrusions 4a defines a slot 6 that receives the blade to be polished so as to be movable in the blade span direction.

A polishing member 8 is disposed in the inner case 4, and this polishing member 8 is formed by bending a plate material 9 shown in FIG. 4. That is, the plate member 9 has a base portion 8a at the center, and two strip portions 8b extend in parallel with each other from both sides of the base portion 8a. Each strip portion 8b has elasticity, and a polishing surface 8c is formed on one surface of each strip portion 8a. The polished surface 8c includes, for example, abrasive grains having an appropriate particle size so that the surface roughness is equivalent to # 300. The material of the abrasive grains is not particularly limited, but diamond or titanium nitride is preferable because it has high strength.

In order to form the polishing member 8 from the plate material 9, the base portion 8 a of the plate material 9 is bent so that the polishing surface 8 c faces outward, and has a substantially semicircular shape inscribed in the curved portion of the inner case 4. And the base part of the strip part 8b continuing to the base part 8a is bent so as to intersect so that the strip parts 8b on both sides mesh with each other.
The base 8a of the polishing member 8 obtained from the plate 9 is inscribed in the curved portion of the inner case 4, and the strip 8b is accommodated in the inner case 4 adjacent to each other along the longitudinal direction of the slot 6. The tip of each strip portion 8b is in contact with the inner wall of the inner case 4 in the vicinity of the root of the protrusion 4a. Therefore, the crossing angle between the strip portions 8b is determined by the distance between the inner side walls of the inner case 4, while the strip portion 8b expands toward the slot 6 at a position closer to the tip than the crossing portion. Further, V-shaped polishing grooves 10 are formed so that the polishing surfaces 8c face each other.

Further, a resin block 12 is provided on one end side in the outer case 2, and the block 12 supports the inner case 4 and the polishing member 8 so as to be rotatable. More specifically, the block 12 has a cylindrical shape, and the base portion 8a of the polishing member 8 and the base portion of the strip portion 8b are in sliding contact with the outer peripheral surface of the block 12. As shown in FIG. 2, the block 12 is fixed to the side wall of the outer case 2 via screws 14. Further, the block 12 has a flange portion 12 a on the end surface on the screw 14 side, and the flange portion 12 a protrudes from the side surface of the inner case 4 to secure a space between one side wall of the outer case 2 and the inner case 4. is doing. A leaf spring 16 is disposed in the space, and the leaf spring 16 presses the inner case 4 toward the other side wall of the outer case 2. In FIG. 3, reference numeral 18 denotes a foldable stopper rod. The stopper rod 18 is provided between the cases 2 and 4 with both ends hinged to both the outer case 2 and the inner case 4. ing.

Hereinafter, a method for polishing a blade using the above-described blade polishing apparatus will be described.
In order to use the blade polishing apparatus, first, the inner case 4 is rotated and protruded from the outer case 2, and the inner case 4 is erected so that the slot 6 is positioned on the upper side as shown in FIG. . At this time, the inner case 4 is supported via the stopper rod 18 to prevent undesired collapse. Thereafter, the outer case 2 is pressed with one hand, and the cutter is reciprocated several times in the spanning direction while pressing the cutting edge of the cutter against the polishing groove 10 through the slot 6 while holding the cutter with the other hand. By moving it, the cutting edge is polished.

Here, when pressed by the blade edge of the blade during polishing, the base of the strip portion 8b is fixed in the inner case 4 and the tip thereof is in contact with the inner wall of the inner case 4. FIG. As schematically shown in a), the strip portion 8b is elastically deformed and bends in a concave shape with respect to the cutting edge of the blade. In other words, the crossing angle θ between the strip portions 8b is expanded beyond the set crossing angle determined by the inner wall of the inner case 4 by the pressing of the blade. Thus, when the cutting edge moves in the polishing groove 10 in a state where the crossing angle θ exceeds the set crossing angle, a small blade having convex surfaces on both sides corresponding to the bending of the strip portion 8b is formed on the cutting edge. The convex surface has a substantially involute shape. 5B schematically illustrates the deformation of the strip portion 8b when the blade is pressed against the polishing groove 10, assuming that the tip of the strip portion 8b is not restrained by the inner wall of the case 4. FIG. From the figure, it can be seen that if the tip of the strip portion 8b is not constrained, a small blade having a convex surface on both sides cannot be obtained.

FIG. 6 shows the blade 40 polished by using the above-described blade polishing apparatus, and as shown in the circle in the drawing, an area of about 0.02 to 0.2 mm from the tip of the blade edge 40a in the blade 40. A small blade 40b is formed on the surface. In this apparatus, as a preferred embodiment, the strip portion is set so that the angle α of the cutting edge 40a of the polished blade 40 is approximately 18 ° to 22 ° and the angle β of the small blade 40b is approximately 28 ° to 32 °. The set crossing angle and elastic characteristics of 8b are selected. When this blade 40 is used, since both surfaces of the small blade 40b in the blade edge 40a are formed in a convex shape, compared to a blade in which both surfaces of the small blade 40b are finished in a flat shape, it can It is easy to move away from the blade, and its curling property is improved. Further, when the polishing groove 10 is expanded beyond the set crossing angle during polishing, the angle β of the small blade 40b is larger than the angle α of the blade edge 40a, and therefore blade spillage due to missing carbide particles or the like occurs. It is difficult to maintain its sharpness over a long period of time and does not require frequent polishing.

The present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiment, and various modifications are possible. For example, the outer case 2 may be formed of a resin and formed into a shape that can be easily pressed. The pressing part may be formed integrally with the inner case without providing the inner part.
In one embodiment, the inner wall of the inner case 4 has a function as a stopper for determining the set crossing angle of the strip portion 8b. You may provide the pin which can contact | abut to a site | part, for example. Further, the tip of the strip portion 8b is in contact with the inner wall of the inner case 4 even when not in use, and the crossing angle θ when not in use is the same as the set crossing angle. And an inner wall of the inner case 4 may be provided with play so that the set crossing angle is larger than the crossing angle θ when not in use.

In one embodiment, the polishing member 8 has two pairs of strip portions 8b intersecting each other, but the number of strip portions 8b may be changed as appropriate. Further, although the polishing member 8 is made of metal, the polishing member may be made of resin or vegetable fiber. In this case, a resin fiber or vegetable fiber mixed with abrasive grains may be thickened, or may be molded using self-bonding or an adhesive, and the strip portion and the polished surface may be integrally formed. Further, a strip portion in which abrasive grains are distributed on the surface of each metal wire, for example, a 400 # or 600 # metal net is rolled and integrated in a state where a plurality of pieces are overlapped, and a polishing surface is integrally formed. May be formed. In this case, the thickness of the obtained strip portion may be adjusted by inserting release paper between the metal nets.

7 and 8 show a modified blade polishing apparatus, which includes a motor 20 to which a case and a polishing member are rotatably attached.
More specifically, in this blade polishing apparatus, the inner case is composed of two disks 22, and the disks 22 are attached to the rotating shaft 20 a of the motor 20 and are separated from each other. A flange 22a is formed on the periphery of the disc 22, and the flange 22a defines a slot 24 extending in the circumferential direction therebetween. The polishing member includes a first member 26 and a second member 28 which are combined with each other, and a columnar spacer 30 sandwiched between the first and second members 26 and 28. The first and second members 26, 28 have regular octagonal bases 26 a, 28 a that sandwich the spacer 30, and strips 8 b extend radially from the edges of the bases 26 a, 28 a, one from each side. (See FIG. 9). The width of each strip portion 8b corresponds to half of the length of each side of the base portions 26a, 28a, and the base portion 8a is formed so that the root of each strip portion 8b is staggered between the first and second members 26.28. It is brought to one side of each side. The base of each strip portion 8b is bent so that the strip portions 8b between the first and second members 26 and 28 intersect with each other, and the tip of each strip portion 8b is a disc near the base of the flange 22a. 22 abuts. Accordingly, the polishing surface 8c of the strip portion 8b has a V-shaped polishing groove 10 that expands toward the slot 24 at a position closer to the tip side than the intersection portion of the strip portions 8b when viewed in the radial direction of the rotating shaft 20a. The eight polishing grooves 10 are formed at equal intervals in the circumferential direction. The disk 22, the first and second members 26 and 28, and the spacer 30 each have a fixing hole that fits in a relatively non-rotatable manner with respect to the rotation shaft of the motor 20. Reference numeral 32 denotes a cover, that is, a protective cover surrounding the disc 22, and the protective cover 32 is also formed with a groove 32 a that matches the upper half circumference of the slot 24.

When using the blade polishing apparatus of the above-described modification, first, the blade edge of the blade is pressed through the protective cover 32 and the slot 24 against the polishing groove 10 expanded upward. When the motor 20 is operated while holding the blade in this state, the first and second members 26 and 28 are rotated together with the disk 22. This rotation causes rotation of each polishing groove 10, that is, relative movement in the blade span direction between the polishing groove 10 and the blade, whereby the blade edge is polished. Therefore, according to this blade polishing apparatus, the blade edge of the blade can be quickly polished. Note that the number of rotations of the motor 20 can be appropriately changed by a control device (not shown).
