この発明は圧力式炊飯器の調圧弁に関するものである。

圧力式炊飯器(圧力式炊飯ジャーを含む。)には、炊飯時において内部圧力を大気圧以上に維持するための炊飯用調圧弁や、一定以上の異常昇圧を防止する安全用調圧弁(いわゆる安全弁)が設けられる。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかしながら、上記のような調圧弁においては、弁孔とボールの加工精度に起因して、ボールによる弁孔の閉塞が不完全になることがあり、蒸気漏れが生じ易い問題があった。また、弁座部材の固定部はリベット留めされていたので、カシメのバラツキによりシールが不完全になり、この部分からも蒸気漏れを生じるおそれがあった。

蒸気漏れを生じると、正確な調圧を行うことができない。また、炊飯終了後の保温時において、蒸気漏れが生じると、御飯の黄ばみ、保水量低下、臭いの付着等の原因にもなる。

【課題を解決するための手段】
上記の第1の課題を解決するために、この発明は、炊飯器の内部で発生した蒸気を外部に放出する蒸気通路の途中に弁座を設け、該弁座上に所要の加圧力をもって弁孔を閉塞する弁体を設けてなる圧力式炊飯器の調圧弁において、上記弁座に装着したパッキンを上記弁体の弁孔閉塞部周囲に該弁孔を避けて接触させてシールした構成を採用した。

上記の構成によると、弁体と弁孔の間に加工精度のバラツキ等により隙間があったとしても、その隙間は弁体の弁孔閉塞部周囲に該弁孔を避けて接触させたパッキンにより閉塞されるので、蒸気漏れは生じない。弁体の弁孔に対する加圧力を適宜選定することにより、炊飯用又は安全用の調圧弁として用いることができる。
