[0007]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
1 to 5 show an endoscope system using an adapter according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention.
The endoscope system schematically shown in FIG. 1 is formed for medical use, and a light source device 12 that supplies illumination light to an endoscope 10 that performs observation and treatment in a body cavity is used as an endoscope light source device. Prepare. The light source device 12 supplies a light guide extending from the lamp 14 disposed in the housing 12a through the diaphragm 16 into the universal cord 18 of the endoscope 10. The endoscope 10 supplied with illumination light through the light guide illuminates the subject S located at a required site in the body cavity from an illumination window (not shown).
[0008]
The light reflected from the subject S is guided from an observation window exposed to the outside of the endoscope 10 to a CCD element (not shown) in the camera head 20 through an image guide extending inside the endoscope. Here, it is converted into an electric signal. The video signal converted by the CCD element is processed by the CCU 22 and then displayed on the monitor 24 as an image of the subject S. Thus, treatment can be performed if necessary while observing the subject S in the body cavity with the monitor 24 outside the body.
[0009]
Further, the light source device 12 is provided with a CPU 26 for controlling the amount of light passing through the diaphragm 16, and the diaphragm 16 is driven according to the intensity of light emitted from the lamp 14, that is, the amount of light, so that the brightness of the subject S is constant. Thus, the amount of illumination light can be adjusted.
[0010]
An adapter 30 that can connect a light guide connector 18a (see FIG. 5) of various shapes provided at the tip of the universal cord 18 to the output connector 28 (see FIG. 4) provided in the housing 12a of the light source device 12. Is attached.
[0011]
As shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, the adapter 30 of the present embodiment includes a main body portion 32 that fits into the output connector 28 of the light source device 12 as an adapter main body portion, and guides the emitted light from the light source device 12. A member 34 is formed integrally with the main body 32 and protrudes from the tip of the main body. A mounting shaft 36 penetrating in the axial direction is attached to the main body portion 32 so as not to move in the axial direction. The mounting shaft 36 has a distal end 36a projecting from the distal end of the main body 32, and a proximal end 36b projecting from the proximal end, and a turret 38 is rotatable and pivoted on the proximal end 36b. It is installed immovably in the direction. Reference numeral 32a denotes a projecting piece that is spring-biased radially outward in order to prevent the body 32 from being pulled out of the output connector 28.
[0012]
The turret 38 is formed with a plurality of connection ports 40 which are adapted to the plurality of types of light guide connectors 18a having different shapes, penetrating in the axial direction. Therefore, the turret 38 is used for connecting the light guide connector 18a. Acts as a connecting part. These connection ports 40 can be aligned coaxially with the light guide member 34 by manually rotating the turret 38 clockwise or counterclockwise about the mounting shaft 36. In the present embodiment, the index means 42 is provided at the proximal end 36b of the mounting shaft 36 so that each connection port 40 and the light guide member 34 can be easily aligned. Such index means 42 can also be formed with a groove or protrusion that fits with a protrusion or groove provided on the turret 38 side. In this case, the protrusion is in the radial direction with a spring or the like, for example. By urging, it is possible to reliably engage and disengage with the groove. Of course, an index (not shown) or the like for aligning each connection port 40 and the light guide member 34 may be provided on the outer peripheral portions of the main body portion 32 and the turret 38 in place of or together with the index means 42. In any case, the mounting shaft 36 acts as a positioning member that aligns the required connection port 40 of the turret 38 with the light guide member 34 and thus the light output port 44 described later.
[0013]
The front end side portion 36a of the mounting shaft 36 has an appropriate engaged hole 46 disposed close to the light output port 44 through which the light guide member 34 is inserted when the main body portion 32 is fitted to the output connector 28. (See FIG. 5), and a regulating member that regulates the rotation of the main body 32 relative to the light source device 12, that is, the output connector 28 is formed. The engaged hole 46 may be at an appropriate position as long as it is spaced from the light output port 44 in the radial direction, and the size of the engaged hole 46 can also receive the end 36a of the mounting shaft 36. If possible, the structure is not limited to the through hole as shown in FIG. In other words, the distal end side portion 36 a that acts as a regulating member can be appropriately fitted as long as it can engage with an appropriate engaged hole disposed in the vicinity of the light output port 44 to restrict the movement of the main body 32. It can be formed in an appropriate shape at the position.
[0014]
The restricting member can be formed by a locking shaft 48 which is a separate member from the mounting shaft 36 as shown in FIG. In this case, since the mounting shaft 36 can be disposed regardless of the positions of the engaged hole 46 and the locking shaft 48, the position and number of each connection port 40 formed in the turret 38 can be set as appropriate. . By using the machine screw 50, the mounting shaft 36 fixed to the turret 38 can be detachably fixed to the main body 32, and can be freely exchanged for the turret 38 having the connection port 40 of a required shape.
[0015]
Next, a case where the light guide connector 18a is connected to the light source device 12 using the adapter 30 will be described.
As shown in FIG. 4, first, the adapter 30 is connected to the output connector 28 of the light source device 12. When the main body 32 of the adapter 30 is inserted into the connection port of the output connector 28 as shown in FIG. 5, the light guide member 34 is inserted into the light output port 44, and here is formed by the locking shaft 48. The restricting member is inserted into the engaged hole 46. The projecting piece portion 32a protruding from the outer peripheral portion on the distal end side of the main body portion 32 engages with a circumferential groove 52 formed in the connection port of the output connector 28, and restricts movement in the axial direction. When the adapter 30 shown in FIG. 3 is connected to the output connector 28, the distal end side end 36a of the mounting shaft 36 acts as a restricting member, so that the distal end side end 36a is inserted into the engaged hole 46. Obviously it will be done.
[0016]
When a light guide connector 18a having a specific shape is connected, clockwise or counterclockwise until the fitting port 40 of the turret 38 is coaxially aligned with the light guide member 34 around the mounting shaft 36. Rotate manually.
[0017]
At this time, the locking shaft 48 inserted into the engaged hole 46 of the output connector 28 or the front end side end 36a of the mounting shaft 36 is inserted into the engaged hole 46 to restrict the rotation of the main body 32. Since it acts as a member, the main body 32 does not rotate relative to the output connector 28 even if the turret 38 is rotated. That is, the locking shaft 48 or the distal end portion 36a that acts as a regulating member securely fixes the light guide member 34 and the main body 32 in a state that prevents the light source device 12 from rotating with respect to the output socket 28, but the turret. 38 is freely rotated.
[0018]
When the connection port 40 having a required shape of the turret 38 coincides with the light guide member 34, the light guide connector 18 a is connected to the connection port 40.
When another light guide connector 18a is used, the turret 38 can be similarly rotated, and the connection port 40 corresponding to the light guide connector 18a can be rotated to a position where it matches the light guide member 34 for connection.
[0019]
As shown in FIG. 5, when the mounting shaft 36 and the locking shaft 48, that is, the restricting member are formed of separate members, the size of the light guide connector 18a is increased or the shape is changed. Various different turrets 38 can be attached to the same body portion 32.
[0020]
Such an adapter 30 is provided with a regulating member in the main body 32 that uses an appropriate engaged hole 46 of the output connector 28 provided in the light source device 12, so that the main body 32 is rotated when the turret 38 is rotated. The rotation of the can be prevented.
In addition, since the restricting member that prevents the light guide member 34 and the main body 32 from rotating is formed by the distal end portion 36 a of the mounting shaft 36 or the locking shaft 48, the restricting member does not appear on the appearance of the light source device 12. Therefore, the main body 32 of the adapter 30 can be connected and used while clearly displaying the index to the user without disturbing the display of the front panel of the housing 12a.
[0021]
FIG. 6 shows an adapter 30A according to another embodiment of the present invention.
The adapter 30A of this embodiment is obtained by omitting the mounting member 36 shown in FIG. 5, and has a flange portion 54 along the circumferential direction at the base end portion of the main body portion 32 instead of the rotation shaft for rotating the turret 12. The turret 38 is formed with a circumferential groove portion 56 corresponding to the flange portion 54. The circumferential groove portion 56 of the present embodiment is formed between the circumferential groove portion 38 b that covers the circumferential portion of the base material 38 a of the turret 38. On the contrary, it is also possible to form a circumferential groove portion in the main body portion 32 and a flange portion to be fitted to the main body portion 32 in the turret 38.
Other configurations are the same as those of the adapter 30 of the embodiment shown in FIGS.
[0022]
This adapter 30A can be used in the same manner as the adapter 30 described above. However, when the connection port 40 of the turret 38 adapted to the specific light guide connector 18a is rotated, the flange portion 54 of the main body portion 32 is guided and rotated in the circumferential groove portion 56 of the turret 38.
[0023]
