本発明の廃プラスチックの再生処理装置は、廃プラスチックを粗粉砕する粗破砕機と、粗粉砕されて得た廃プラスチック塊を洗浄する初段洗浄槽と、この初段洗浄槽及び上記粗破砕機内に石灰水を供給する手段と、上記初段洗浄槽内で洗浄した廃プラスチック塊を微粉砕する微破砕機と、この微粉砕されたプラスチックを洗浄する終段洗浄槽と、この終段洗浄槽によって洗浄した微粉砕されたプラスチックを乾燥する乾燥手段と、上記初段洗浄槽、終段洗浄槽及び粗破砕機内に中和洗浄水を供給する手段とより成ることを特徴とする。

本発明の廃プラスチックの再生処理方法においては図1に示すように処理すべき廃棄蓄電池ケースを搬送コンベアー1を介して破砕機2内に投入して、例えば15mm以下の塊に粗破砕し、この破砕機2内にはライン3を介して、中和洗浄水を噴射し、また、後述するように石灰水を噴射し、廃棄蓄電池ケースに付着している希硫酸等を中和せしめる。
