近年のビデオカメラとしては、被写体の撮影と記録、再生をするカメラ本体に、液晶画面を有する液晶表示手段を搭載したものが多い。

上記目的を達成するために、本発明が提供するビデオカメラは、被写体の撮影と記録、再生をするカメラ本体と、カメラ本体に開閉自在に取り付けた、液晶画面を有する液晶表示手段とからなるビデオカメラであって、前記液晶表示手段の液晶画面の反対面に、撮影と記録再生の操作をする第1の操作手段を設け、閉状態にある前記液晶表示手段の液晶画面が対面するカメラ本体の側面に、撮影と記録再生の操作をする第2の操作手段を設け、前記液晶表示手段の閉状態において、前記第1の操作手段で第2の操作手段を操作することができる操作手段を有し、前記液晶表示手段が開のときは、第1の操作手段の操作はできないが、第2の操作手段で撮影用の操作が可能となり、前記液晶表示手段が閉のときは、第1の操作手段の操作で第2の操作手段の操作を行うことに依って撮影用の操作が可能となることを特徴とするものである。

以下、本発明の実施の形態を、実施例によって、図1と図2を参照しながら、詳細に説明する。

図1は液晶表示手段が開状態にあるビデオカメラの斜視図、図2は同手段が閉状態にあるビデオカメラの斜視図である。
