【発明の属する技術分野】
この発明は、容易に開蓋することができるとともに、缶体に封入された飲料等が飲みやすい形状または注ぎ出しやすい形状を有する開口仮封止栓付缶に関するものである。

【従来の技術】
イージーオープン缶として、スコア線によって缶蓋に区画形成された開口片を押圧し、その開口片をスコア線に沿って破断させるタイプの缶が知られている。これらの缶として、例えば特開平8−169454号公報に記載されたものと米国特許第4976368号明細書に記載されたものとがある。

特開平8−169454号公報に記載された発明は、蓋部材において環状移行部からスカートまたはエプロンが容器本体から離れる方向であってその中心軸に近づく方向に向かって伸び、その先端に頭部を介してトップが形成されている。そしてそのトップには下部側にスコア線によって囲まれた凹型押し下げタブが形成されている。そして缶蓋を開ける場合には、その凹型押し下げタブを指で押圧することによりスコア線を破断しつつ凹型押し下げタブを容器本体内部に押し下げて、開口片を吊り下げ状態にすることによって缶蓋を開ける。

また米国特許第4976368号明細書に記載された発明は、缶蓋上方へ突出した外周壁とその外周壁から内方へ平坦な環状パネルが延出し、更に環状パネルから下方に内周壁が垂下し、その内周壁の下端が折り畳まれて三重層になっており、その最下層に形成されたスコア線により開口片が区画されて形成されている。そしてこの開口片には凸タブが形成されており、缶蓋を開ける場合には、その凸タブを指で押し下げて開口片をスコア線の部分で破断し、開口片を缶蓋の内面側に吊り下げ状態にして缶蓋を開ける。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
上述の二つの発明では、指で直接に開口片を押し下げ、スコア線部分を破断しつつ開口片を缶体内へ押し下げて缶蓋を開けるので、缶体に封入された飲料等が指に付着する可能性がある。特に炭酸含有飲料では、開蓋時に飲料が噴き出ることがあるので、飲料が指に付着する可能性が高い。また開蓋の際に開口片の縁部によって指を傷つける可能性があるとともに、消費者の指の大きさや長さ、押圧力の大小等の個人差によって、指で缶蓋を開けることが容易ではない場合が生じる可能性がある。なお小さな押圧力でも缶蓋を開けることができるように、スコア線を全周にわたって深く刻むことも考えられる。

しかしながら缶体の輸送中に受ける衝撃により、スコア線が破断する可能性があり、また内圧力が高くなった場合に、スコア線が破断して封入された飲料が噴き出る可能性があるから、スコア線を広範囲にわたって深くすることができない。また缶蓋を開けた際に、開口部を封鎖していた開口片は缶体内部に押し下げられてしまうので、いわゆるペットボトルのように蓋によって仮封止することができないのは、通常のイージーオープン缶と同様である。

この発明は上記の事情を背景としてなされたものであり、容易に缶蓋を開けることができると共に、開けられた缶蓋を仮封止することができ、しかも製品品質が高く、かつ生産性に優れる開口仮封止栓付缶を提供することを目的とするものである。

【課題を解決するための手段およびその作用】
上記の目的を達成するために、請求項1の発明は、缶胴の開口端に巻き締め固着されるフランジ部を外周部に備えた缶蓋であって、その軸線方向にこのフランジ部よりも外方へ突出した環状の突出部が形成されると共に、この突出部に、両端部が離隔した曲線状を成し、かつ押圧力によって破断する易破断線で区画されたほぼ円形の開口片が設けられた缶蓋を、前記フランジ部により前記缶胴の開口端に巻き締め固着し、更に前記突出部に対して開口仮封止栓が前記開口片ならびに突出部の先端外周縁を覆った状態で冠着された開口仮封止栓付缶において、前記突出部における先端面の周縁部が所定の幅に亘って平坦面に形成されると共に、その平坦面を成す周縁部の内周側に、前記突出部の突出方向とは反対方向に凹となる窪み部が形成され、更にその窪み部の内周側に、窪み部から連続した壁面を少なくとも三重に折り畳んでなる折り畳部が形成されると共に、その折り畳部における複数層のうち前記突出部の先端面から最も離れた層に前記易破断線が設けられ、また前記折り畳部の内周側で、かつ前記周縁部の面の高さよりも低い位置に前記開口片が設けられ、更に前記突出部の外周部に、傾斜した姿勢で円周方向に延び、かつ突出部における半径方向での突出量が両端部を除いてほぼ一定に設定された係合突起部が、円周方向で所定の間隔をあけて複数形成されると共に、前記開口仮封止栓には、前記各係合突起部を覆う状態で前記突出部に対して嵌合可能な第一円筒部と、この第一円筒部の内周面に形成され、かつ前記係合突起部に対して係合可能な第一仮止め突起部と、第一円筒部とは軸線方向での反対側に突出し、かつ前記各係合突起部を覆う状態で前記突出部に対して嵌合可能な第二円筒部と、この第二円筒部の内周面に、円周方向で所定の間隔をあけて複数設けられると共に、前記係合突起部の傾斜に対応して傾斜し、かつ係合突起部に対して係合可能な第二仮止め突起部と、第二円筒部の内周側において第二円筒部と軸線方向での同一方向に第二円筒部よりも突出し、かつ前記開口片を押圧して前記易破断線を破断させる開口嵌合凸部と、その開口嵌合凸部と前記第二円筒部との間に設けられると共に、開口嵌合凸部よりも小さくかつ第二円筒部よりも大きく突出し、外周面が先端部に向けて縮径するテーパの付けられた円筒状をなし、その基端部の外径が前記易破断線を破断させた後に形成される開口部の内径より大きく設定されており、前記第二仮止め突起部を前記係合突起部に係合させた状態で、前記開口部の内周縁に沿って密着し、かつ前記開口片を押し下げた状態に保持する弾性変形可能な厚さの環状突出部とが備えられていることを特徴とするものである。

従って請求項1の発明によれば、第一円筒部の第一仮止め突起部が缶蓋の係合突起部と係合する様に、開口仮封止栓を缶蓋に冠着させた状態で缶体を輸送・販売することができる。また開口仮封止栓を開口部突出缶蓋から取り外して反転させ、その開口嵌合凸部によって開口片を押圧することによって、易破断線が破断されると共に、両端部の離隔した部分をヒンジとして開口片が押し下げられて開口部が形成され、その結果、開蓋される。その場合、開口嵌合凸部の外周側に設けられ、かつ開口嵌合凸部よりも突出量の小さい環状突出部の先端と開口片とが当接するから、開口片がいわゆる半開き状態となることがない。また開口嵌合凸部がその外周側に位置する第二円筒部よりも大きく突出していて、その位置が明確であるから、開口部突出缶蓋に対する開口仮封止栓の位置合わせが容易である。なお易破断線の切断端面が、開口部に露出しないから、消費者が指を傷付けるなどのおそれがない。

更に開蓋後には、開口仮封止栓によって缶蓋の開口部を仮封止できる。具体的には、第二円筒部と突出部とを対向させた姿勢に開口仮封止栓を突出部に被せるとともに、第二円筒部の中心軸線を中心に回転させることによって、各第二仮止め突起部が各係合突起部にそれぞれ係合し、また環状突出部が開口部の内周縁に密着し、その結果、開口仮封止栓が突出部に対して強固に冠着される。特に突出部の外周に嵌合される部位であり、開口仮封止栓全体としての取付強度の一部を担う第二円筒部の突出量よりも、環状突出部の突出量が大きく設定されているために、環状突出部自体の弾性力が充分に大きく、従って開口部との接触部分における密封性に優れている。

なおこのように密封性を高めることによって、開口仮封止栓を缶蓋から外す方向に作用する圧力が高められるが、前述の通り、第二仮止め突起部と係合突起部とが全体として螺旋状に係合(ネジ係合)しているから、開口仮封止栓が確実に固定される。つまり炭酸含有飲料のように、缶体の内圧が高い飲料を対象とした場合に特に有効である。従って缶体を倒した場合のように飲み残した飲料または使い残した内容液をこぼしてしまうことを防ぐことができ、また仮封止した缶体を持ち運ぶことができる。

また請求項1の発明では、各係合突起部が突出部の先端面における外周縁を潰し成形することによって形成される構造ではなく、材料の余り(弛み)等に起因したシワやバリの発生を防止でき、缶蓋材料または缶蓋表面の保護被膜に対する成形ダメージを低減させることができる。つまり製品品質を向上させることができる。そのうえ突出部の先端面の周縁部が全周に亘って平坦面となっているので、見栄えが良好になる利点も生じる。

また請求項1の発明によれば、例えば内容物として炭酸含有飲料を充填した場合に、開口片を外側に向けて膨らませる力が炭酸ガスによって作用するものの、前述の通り、開口片の高さが突出部における周縁部の高さよりも低く設定されており、そのうえ開口片の膨らむ方向と反対方向に凹となる窪み部によって開口片の変形が抑制されるから、突出部を超えて開口片が外側に膨れ出すおそれがない。従って請求項1の発明では、開口仮封止栓を冠着する前の状態の缶の開口部突出缶蓋側を下側に向けた姿勢での搬送が可能であり、また加熱された状態の飲料を開口部突出缶蓋の内面に対して直接に接触させることによる開口部突出缶蓋の殺菌が可能である。

【発明の実施の形態】
つぎにこの発明の具体例を図面を参照して説明する。図1はこの発明の一具体例を示すものであって、ここには開口部突出缶蓋30と開口仮封止栓31とが示されている。まず、開口部突出缶蓋30について説明する。この開口部突出缶蓋30は、アルミニウム合金などの金属製の平板材(図示せず)から形成されている。なおこの平板材の一方の表面には、合成樹脂からなる図示しない内面被膜(塗膜)が予め形成されている。この内面被膜は、保護塗料や樹脂フィルムから形成されている。

その塗料としては、熱硬化性および熱可塑性樹脂からなる任意の保護塗料、例えばフェノール−エポキシ塗料、アミノ−エポキシ塗料等の変性エポキシ塗料、塩化ビニル−酢酸ビニル共重合体、エポキシ−フェノール変性ビニル塗料等のビニルまたは変性ビニル塗料等の単独または2種以上の組み合わせが使用される。またその樹脂フィルムとしては、エチレン−テレフタレートを基本構成とするポリエステル樹脂、例えばポリエチレンテレフタレート(PET)、更にはポリエチレンテレフタレート−イソフタレート(PET/I)等のコポリマーでも適用できる。また樹脂フィルムが内面被膜に用いられる場合、その樹脂フィルムは、未延伸のものでも二軸延伸のものでもよい。

開口部突出缶蓋30の外周側には、円筒状の缶胴32の開口部に巻き締め固着して巻締部33を形成する周知形状のフランジ部(図示せず)が形成されている。またその巻締部33から開口部突出缶蓋30の半径方向内側には、図1でのほぼ下方向に窪むU字形である環状溝34が形成されている。

より具体的には、係合突起部38は、図1での左上側から右下側に向けて傾斜した直線状の突条であり、半径方向での突出量が両端部を除いて一定となっている。つまり係合突起部38の長さ方向での中間部は、口頸部37の側面とほぼ平行となるように湾曲しており、これに対して係合突起部38の両端部は、口頸部37の側面に対して斜めに交差するように裾広がり状を成している。なお口頸部37とスカート壁35と隆起部36とによって、突出部70が形成されている。

更に環状平坦部10の内縁部から繋がる壁面が、缶胴32の中心軸線とほぼ平行に図1での下方に向けて折り曲げられていて、ここが内周壁11として形成されている。すなわちこの内周壁11は、口頸部37の内周側に備えられた全体として環状を成す壁面である。更に内周壁11の下縁部には、断面が図1での下方に向けて円弧状に湾曲した窪み部12が形成されている。この窪み部12は、周方向の全体に亘って形成されるものであり、全体として環状を成している。

更に窪み部12の内周側の壁面は、軸線方向で図1での上側に僅かに突出すると共に、全体として円形を成すように三重層に折り畳まれていて、ここが折り畳部39として形成されている。その折り畳部39の図1での最上層40は、平坦面を成していて、開口部突出缶蓋30の中心軸線と直交した線に対して平行となっている。この最上層40と窪み部12の底部との缶胴32の中心軸線に沿う方向での間隔は、一例として0.50〜0.60mm程度に設定されている。なお折り畳部39の内径が、後述する開口片44を押し下げた状態で現れる開口部41の内径に相当する。

折り畳部39における最下層42には、一部を除いてスコア線43が形成されており、換言すれば、スコア線43は折り畳部39に沿うように形成されており(折り畳部39の内周側先端部または内周側折曲部よりも外側に形成される)、両端部の離隔した円形状を成している。なお開蓋性を良くするために、スコア線43の一部を完全に切断しておいてもよい。ここで突出部70における円周方向での係合突起部38の配置は、スコア線43の端部同士の間の部分に対して円周方向で対向した位置を避けた配置となっている。

他方、スコア線43の内周側には、開口片44が形成されている。この開口片44は、折り畳部39における最下層42と一体に繋がる壁面からなり、スコア線43によって区画されたほぼ円形のものである。従って開口片44は、スコア線43の端部同士の間の部分をヒンジとして突出部70の内側に押し下げられる構造となっている。更に開口片44および折り畳部39の最上層40のうちスコア線43に隣接した部分には、プラスチゾル45が塗布されている。

このプラスチゾル45は、缶体の内圧の変化によってスコア線43が破断することを防ぐと共に、スコア線43を形成することによる塗膜の損傷を補修し、飲料の侵入による開口部突出缶蓋30の腐食を防ぐためのものである。プラスチゾル45を塗布することによって、スコア線43の一部が完全に切断されていても、内容液の漏洩を防止できる。なおスコア線43が、この発明の易破断線に相当する。

更に開口片44における環状凸部46の内周側には、開口嵌合凹部50が形成されている。より詳細には、開口嵌合凹部50は、環状凸部46における内周斜面部49とその内周側に設けられた凸部51における斜面とによって区画された平坦な溝部あるいは谷部であって、寸法ならびに形状が開口仮封止栓31における後述の押圧面64のそれと実質的に一致している。つまり内周斜面部49の図1での下縁部と凸部51の下縁部との間隔が、押圧面64の内周縁と外周縁との間隔に一致している。

また開口嵌合凹部50は、缶胴の中心軸線に対して直交した線と平行で、かつ折り畳部39の最下層42と同じ高さに設けられている。なお開口嵌合凹部50の中心軸線は、開口部突出缶蓋30の中心軸線とそれぞれ同軸上に配置されている。なお開口片44のうち開口嵌合凹部50の内周側に形成された凸部51の図1での最上面は、平坦面を成していて、折り畳部39の最上層40よりも0.30〜.40mm上方位置に設けられている。この凸部51の最上面の位置は、意図しない押し下げ力が開口片44に加えられるのを防止するという観点から突出部70よりも上方に突出しない位置であることが好ましく、製造時の積重ね性、使用材料の節減、開口操作性等を考慮して、環状平坦部10の1.10〜1.20mm下方に設定されている。

つぎに開口仮封止栓31について説明する。ポリエチレン樹脂やポリプロピレン樹脂等の合成樹脂で成形された開口仮封止栓31は、図1に示すように、その外周側には図1の下方向に延出する第一円筒部52が形成されている。この第一円筒部52の下端内面には、半径方向での内側に突出した第一仮止め突起部53が円周方向での等間隔で6個形成されている。各第一仮止め突起部53は、直線状の突条であって、第一円筒部52の中心軸線と直交した姿勢となっている。なお第一仮止め突起部53が開口部突出缶蓋30の係合突起部38を弾性変形して乗り越え、その下側の口頸部37に密着することによって、開口仮封止栓31が開口部突出缶蓋30に着脱可能に固定される。

第一円筒部52の図1での上側には、第二円筒部54が一体に形成されている。この第二円筒部54は、第一円筒部52と同径でかつ長さのほぼ等しい円筒状を成していて、第一円筒部52と同軸上に配置されている。第二円筒部54の内面には、第二仮止め突起部55が円周方向での等間隔で3個設けられている。この第二仮止め突起部55は、全体として各係合突起部38と平行となるように(図1での左側から右側に向けて)傾斜した断面台形状の突条である。

他方、パネル部56を挟んだ第三円筒部13の反対側には、第四円筒部14が形成されている。つまり第四円筒部14は、第二円筒部54と軸線方向での同一方向に突出した構造となっている。この第四円筒部14における内外径およびパネル部56からの突出量(長さ)は、第三円筒部13の内外径および長さとほぼ同じに設定されいる。

第四円筒部14の内周箇所には、第二円筒部54と軸線方向での同一方向に突出した弾性変形可能な厚さの環状突出部57が形成されている。より具体的には、環状突出部57は、その内周面が第二円筒部54とほぼ平行で、かつ外周面が先端部に向けて縮径するテーパの付けられた円筒状を成しており、その基端部の外径が、開口部突出缶蓋30に形成される開口部41の内径より大きく設定されている。環状突出部57の先端部から長さ方向での中間部における肉厚が、開口嵌合凸部58あるいは第二円筒部54の肉厚よりも薄く設定されており、これに対して基端部における肉厚が、開口嵌合凸部58あるいは第二円筒部54の肉厚とほぼ同じに設定されている。

更に環状突出部57の先端部は、第二円筒部54の端面よりも軸線方向での若干外側に位置している。つまり環状突出部57の先端部が第二円筒部54よりも僅かに(本例では0.45mm)突出している。これは開口部41に後述の開口嵌合凸部58を挿入させ、かつ第二仮止め突起部55を係合突起部38に係合させた状態で、環状突出部57が先端部から開口部41に進入し、開口部41の内径よりも大径の基端部が進入して、その外周面と開口部41の内周縁とが圧接触する状態で停止する長さである。

環状突出部57の基端部の内周側には、第二円筒部54と軸線方向での同一方向に突出した円筒状のテーパ部59が形成されている。このテーパ部59には、その上縁部に向けて縮径する方向のテーパが備えられている。またテーパ部59の図1での上縁部には、側面が開口部突出缶蓋30の中心軸線とほぼ平行に揃えられた円筒状の垂直部60が形成されている。更に垂直部60の上縁部には、テーパ部59よりもテーパ角の大きな傾斜部61が形成されていて、その傾斜部61の上縁部には、長さの短い円筒状の押圧部62が形成されている。
