BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a garnish provided with an impact absorbing member.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Conventionally, a resin garnish, such as a center pillar garnish, is attached to the interior of a conventional automobile so as to cover the side surface of the vehicle body panel, such as the center pillar.
[0003]
In addition, in order to improve safety for passengers when a car collides between the body panel and the garnish, an impact absorbing member is provided integrally or separately from the garnish, and the garnish is provided with an impact absorbing member. For example, those described in JP-A-10-35378 and JP-A-10-129377 are known.
[0004]
The shock absorbing structure of the former publication is provided with a plurality of first ribs and second ribs parallel to each other in a lattice shape inside the resin base material, and the first ribs are thinner than the second ribs. When the substrate receives an impact from the outside, the first rib and the second rib are broken or deformed to absorb the impact energy.
[0005]
The energy absorber for pillar garnish disclosed in the latter publication is connected to a lattice body in which a plurality of ribs intersect, a bottom plate connected to one side of the lattice body and shielding the lattice space, and connected to the other side of the lattice body. And it is comprised from the surface board which shields a lattice space, and when it is provided inside a pillar garnish, the impact energy added to the pillar garnish from the outside is absorbed.
[0006]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, in the shock absorbing structure of the former publication, when an impact is applied to the garnish from an oblique direction, the rib tip located at the corner of the pillar bends due to the impact and the position of the pillar and the garnish shifts. The shock absorbing power that it originally has cannot be fully demonstrated.
[0007]
To prevent the pillar and garnish from slipping, the rib thickness should be increased so that the tip of the rib does not bend. However, increasing the rib thickness increases the impact applied from an oblique direction. On the other hand, although the shock absorbing power increases, the rigidity of the rib increases against the impact from the lateral direction, so that the shock absorbing power decreases and the shock absorbing power due to the buckling of the rib cannot be obtained. The weight increases and the cost increases.
[0008]
On the other hand, the energy absorber of the latter publication is effective against an impact applied obliquely, but the garnish and the energy absorber must be formed separately, which increases the manufacturing cost and takes time to assemble. The workability is bad.
[0009]
This invention is made | formed in view of this situation, and it aims at providing the garnish which can fully exhibit the impact-absorbing power which the impact-absorbing member originally has.
[0010]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to achieve the above object, a garnish according to the present invention is a garnish that covers a side surface of a vehicle body panel and a surface that intersects the side surface of the vehicle body, a plate portion that covers the vehicle side surface of the vehicle body panel, and a vehicle body from the plate portion. A garnish body is formed by a side wall portion that is bent toward the panel side and covers a surface that intersects the side surface of the passenger compartment, and a plurality of ribs are formed between the garnish main body and a surface that intersects the side surface of the vehicle body panel. The boss part is formed along the intersecting surface and the boss part is provided with an impact absorbing member whose width dimension is larger than the rib thickness , and the boss part can be pressed against the side of the vehicle body panel Configured .
[0011]
With the above configuration, when a large impact is applied to the garnish main body when the vehicle collides, the boss part formed integrally with the rib is deformed together with the rib to absorb the impact force, and at the same time, the boss part comes into contact with the vehicle body panel. Since the garnish main body is prevented from being displaced with respect to the panel, the shock absorbing member inherently possessed by the shock absorbing member can be sufficiently exhibited.
[0012]
In addition, when molding the impact absorbing member with resin, the boss part can be ejected by the ejector pin, so that the molded product can be easily released from the mold. Since there is no need to protrude the ribs, the ribs are not deformed and the impact absorption capacity is not lowered, the quality of the molded product is not lowered, and the occurrence of defective products is reduced, so the yield of the molded products is also improved. .
[0013]
In order to achieve the above object, the garnish of the present invention is provided with a boss portion along a surface intersecting with the side surface of the passenger compartment.
[0014]
With the above-described configuration, the shock absorbing material originally has a boss portion that is provided along a surface intersecting the side surface of the passenger compartment and reliably contacts the vehicle body panel to prevent the garnish body from being displaced with respect to the vehicle body panel. It is possible to reliably exert the shock absorbing power.
[0015]
In order to achieve the above object, the garnish of the present invention is formed such that the ribs of the shock absorbing member are positioned before and after the surface intersecting the vehicle compartment side surface of the vehicle body panel, and at least behind the surface intersecting the vehicle compartment side surface. A boss portion is formed on the rib located on the surface.
[0016]
With the above configuration, even when an occupant collides with the garnish main body obliquely from behind at the time of a vehicle collision, the boss portion absorbs an impact, so that a sufficient impact absorbing effect can be obtained.
[0017]
In order to achieve the object, the garnish of the present invention has a boss formed in a columnar shape, a cylindrical shape, a prismatic shape, or a rectangular tube shape.
[0018]
With the above configuration, the boss formed in a columnar shape, a cylindrical shape, or a prismatic shape or a rectangular tube shape has no directionality, so that it is possible to efficiently absorb an impact from any direction and at the position of the ejector pin. Since the restriction is reduced, the structure of the mold can be simplified, and the manufacturing cost of the mold can be reduced. Therefore, a garnish having an impact absorbing member can be obtained at low cost.
[0019]
In order to achieve the above object, a garnish according to the present invention is a portion formed from a side surface of a vehicle body panel of a garnish main body, and a surface that is provided from the side surface of the passenger compartment toward the side of the passenger compartment and intersects the side surface of the passenger compartment. The rib is integrally formed facing the boss, and the boss is formed toward the side of the vehicle compartment.
[0020]
With the above-described configuration, the shock absorbing material originally has a boss portion that is provided along a surface intersecting the side surface of the passenger compartment and reliably contacts the vehicle body panel to prevent the garnish body from being displaced with respect to the vehicle body panel. It is possible to reliably exert the shock absorbing power.

[0038]
As described in detail above, the present invention forms a garnish body with a plate portion covering the side surface of the vehicle body panel and a side wall portion that is bent toward the vehicle body panel side from the plate portion and covers the surface intersecting with the side surface of the vehicle compartment. And a plurality of ribs and a boss portion formed integrally with the ribs and along the intersecting surface between the garnish main body and the surface intersecting with the vehicle compartment side surface of the vehicle body panel. Since the shock absorbing member is larger than the rib plate thickness and the boss part can be pressed against the side wall of the vehicle body panel, it is integrated with the rib when a large impact is applied to the garnish body when the vehicle collides. The molded boss part deforms with the rib to absorb the impact force, and at the same time, the boss part comes into contact with the vehicle body panel and the garnish body is prevented from shifting with respect to the vehicle body panel. The have shock absorption it is possible to sufficiently exhibit.
[0039]
In addition, when molding the impact absorbing member with resin, the boss part can be ejected by the ejector pin, so that the molded product can be easily released from the mold. Since there is no need to protrude the ribs, the ribs are not deformed and the impact absorption capacity is not lowered, the quality of the molded product is not lowered, and the occurrence of defective products is reduced, so the yield of the molded products is also improved. .
[0040]
Furthermore , by setting the tip of the boss part at a height that is located on both sides of the vehicle body panel, the boss part is provided along the surface intersecting the side of the vehicle compartment, so that the tip of the boss part is securely attached to the vehicle body panel. contact, in order to prevent the garnish main body is displaced relative to the vehicle body panel, the shock absorbing member is made to be able to reliably exhibit the impact absorbing force is inherent, ribs of the shock absorbing member and formed so as to be located before and after the plane crossing the cabin side of the vehicle body panel, the rib located at least behind the plane crossing the cabin side, since the formation of the boss portion, upon collision of the vehicle Even if an occupant collides with the garnish main body obliquely from the rear, the boss portion absorbs the impact, so that a sufficient impact absorbing effect can be obtained.
[0041]
Moreover, since the boss formed in a columnar shape, a cylindrical shape, or a prismatic shape or a rectangular tube shape has no directionality, it can efficiently absorb impact from any direction and is restricted by the position of the ejector pin. Therefore, the structure of the mold can be simplified, and thereby the manufacturing cost of the mold can be reduced, so that a garnish having an impact absorbing member can be obtained at a low cost.
