本発明は電力ケーブルの終端接続部に関する。更に詳しくは、終端接続部本体内に嵌合接続した電力ケーブルを上記終端接続部本体の外周面に設けた固定用バンドで締め付け固定するようにした電力ケーブルの終端接続部に関する。

従来、電力ケーブルの終端接続部は、例えば図4に示すようにゴム等よりなる略筒状の接続部本体1内に電力ケーブル2を挿入し、その電力ケーブル2と、それと接続すべき電力ケーブル3の導体(不図示)とを導体接続部4で導電接続すると共に、上記終端接続部本体1の一端側の外周に設けた固定用バンド5により上記終端接続部本体1を上記電力ケーブル2の外周面に気密に密着させた状態に締め付け固定するようにしている。図中、1aは上記終端接続部本体1と一体もしくは一体的に設けた雨覆である。

また上記固定用バンド5を紫外線等から保護するために、耐候性のよい粘着性の保護テープ6を上記固定用バンド5の外周に巻き付けると共に、電力ケーブル2の周面には位相毎に色の異なる粘着性の着色テープ7を巻き付けて識別するようにしている。例えば3相の交流ケーブルにあっては、位相毎に赤・青・白の着色テープ5を巻き付けるようにしている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
ところが、上記のような保護テープや着色テープの巻き付け作業は、1つずつ手作業で行わなければならないので、煩雑かつ面倒であると共に、作業に多大な労力と時間を要し、非能率的である等の問題があった。また作業者の熟練度によってテープの巻き付け状態にバラツキが生じ、また慣れないとテープがずれたり剥がれて外観体裁を損ねる等の不具合があった。

本発明は上記の問題点に鑑みて提案されたもので、前記のような保護テープ等を用いることなく固定バンドを良好に保護できるようにすると共に、前記のような着色テープを用いることなく位相を識別することのできる電力ケーブルの終端接続部を提供することを目的とする。

【課題を解決するための手段】
上記の目的を達成するために本発明による電力ケーブルの終端接続部は、以下の構成としたものである。即ち、終端接続部本体内に電力ケーブルを挿入し、その終端接続部本体の外周に設けた固定用バンドで上記終端接続部本体を上記電力ケーブルの外周面に密着させた状態に締め付け固定するようにした電力ケーブルの終端接続部において、上記固定用バンドを覆う略筒状の保護カバーを備え、その保護カバーに電力ケーブルの位相に応じて異なる着色を施したことを特徴とする。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下、本発明を図に示す実施形態に基づいて具体的に説明する。図1は本発明による電力ケーブルの終端接続部の一実施形態を示す一部縦断側面図、図2(a)はその一部の拡大図、同図(b)は(a)におけるb−b線断面図であり、前記図4と同様の機能を有する部材には同一の符号を付して説明する。

図示例は終端接続部本体1の端部に設けた固定用バンド5の全周を覆うようにして、終端接続部本体1とは別体に形成した保護カバー8を上記本体1の外周に装着するようにしたもので、その保護カバー8は本実施形態においては耐候性および耐トラッキング性の優れた柔軟なゴム等によって全体略筒状に形成され、接続部本体1の外周に嵌めたとき、保護カバー8の両端部が接続部本体1の外周に密着固定するように構成されている。図中、81は上記筒状の保護カバー8の一部を半径方向外方に突出させて形成した膨出部で、その膨出部81により上記固定用バンド5のバックル部51を覆う構成である。

以上のように本発明による電力ケーブルの終端接続部は、前記のように固定用バンド5を覆う保護カバー8を備え、その保護カバー8に電力ケーブル2の位相に応じて異なる着色を施したから、その保護カバー8を固定用バンド5に被せるだけで該固定用バンド5の保護およびケーブル位相の識別表示が可能となる。その結果、前記従来のような保護テープ6や着色テープ7等の面倒な巻き付け作業が不要となり、ケーブル接続作業を容易・迅速に行うことができると共に、作業コストを大幅に削減できる等の効果がある。
