本発明は、車輌等にブレーキ圧力源等を確保する目的で備えられる空気貯蔵装置に適用可能なエアドライヤの乾燥筒構造に関するものである。

【従来の技術】
一般に、トラック等の車輌においては、空気を圧縮するコンプレッサと、該コンプレッサから供給される圧縮空気を除湿するエアドライヤと、該エアドライヤからの除湿された圧縮空気をチェックバルブを介して貯蔵するエアタンクとを備えて成る空気貯蔵装置が、主としてブレーキ圧力源等を確保する為に搭載されている。

図5は前述した空気貯蔵装置に用いられている従来のエアドライヤの一例を示すもので、この種のエアドライヤ1においては、コンプレッサからの圧縮空気を導入される吸気口2と、除湿した圧縮空気をエアタンクへと送出する排気口3とを備えた基台4上に、圧縮空気を除湿する為の乾燥剤5を充填した乾燥筒6を、該乾燥筒6の内部が前記吸気口2と連通するよう取り付け、前記基台4の上側に、前記乾燥筒6を包囲し且つその内部空間7が前記排気口3と連通するようパージチャンバ8を取り付けた構造としてある。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかしながら、斯かる従来のエアドライヤ1に用いられる乾燥筒6においては、図7に示す如く、有底で上端部を開口した筒体として一体成形されていた為、オイルフィルタ14を乾燥筒6の上端部の開口から挿入して固定しなければならず、その為にオイルフィルタ14をフィルタカバー15,16により挾持して前記内部底板12中央の突起17にボルト18で固定するといった複雑な据え付け構造が必要となり、このようなオイルフィルタ14の据え付け構造の複雑化により製作コストが嵩むという問題があった。

また、図8に模式的に示す如く、ダイキャスト製法により金型A,B,C,Dを用いて一体成形するようにしていた為、側方に切り離される金型A,Bの型離れを容易にするべく乾燥筒6のフランジ部11の上面に抜き勾配が付されることになり、このフランジ部11をパージチャンバ8のフランジ部10と一緒に基台4にボルト締結する為に前記フランジ部11の上面を平坦に機械加工する必要が生じ、このような加工手間によっても製作コストが嵩むという問題があった。

本発明は上述の実情に鑑みてなしたもので、エアドライヤの乾燥筒の製作コストを従来より削減することを目的としている。

【課題を解決するための手段】
本発明は、エアドライヤの乾燥筒を、有底で上端部を開口し且つ下端部の外周に第一のフランジ部を形成した筒部と、該筒部の第一のフランジ部を固定する為の受け座部を有し且つ該受け座部の外周に乾燥筒を基台に固定する為の第二のフランジ部を形成した底部とに分割構成し、前記筒部と底部との間にオイルフィルタを挟み込んで保持し得るよう収納空間を設けたことを特徴とするエアドライヤの乾燥筒構造、に係るものである。

このようにすれば、オイルフィルタを筒部と底部との間の収納空間に挟み込んで保持することが可能となるので、従来の如くオイルフィルタをフィルタカバーにより挾持して前記底板中央の突起にボルトで固定するといった複雑な据え付け構造を採用する必要がなくなる。

尚、筒部については、従来と類似した金型構成により鋳造されるので、その第一のフランジ部の上面に抜き勾配が付されることになるが、該第一のフランジ部は、筒部を底部の受け座部に固定できさえすれば良いものであり、乾燥筒を基台に固定する為の第二のフランジ部と比較して大幅な小型化を図ることが可能で、しかも、第二のフランジ部のようにパージチャンバのフランジ部と一緒に基台に固定する必要もない為、前記第一のフランジ部の上面に付される抜き勾配は実質的に作業上無視できる程度の勾配にしかならず、特に鋳造後において機械加工を施す必要はない。

以下本発明の実施の形態を図面を参照しつつ説明する。

上記した本発明のエアドライヤの乾燥筒構造によれば、オイルフィルタを筒部と底部との間の収納空間に挟み込んで保持することができるので、オイルフィルタの据え付け構造を簡素化することができ、しかも、乾燥筒の底部を上下の金型のみで鋳造することが可能となるので、乾燥筒を基台に固定する為の第二のフランジ部の上面に抜き勾配を付す必要がなくなり、第二のフランジ部に対する機械加工を不要とすることができ、これによって、エアドライヤの乾燥筒の製作コストを従来より著しく削減することができるという優れた効果を奏し得る。
