本発明は、バッテリ式フォークリフトに関する。

バッテリ式フォークリフトの一例として図4に示すリーチ型フォークリフト13がある。車体2には、車体側面に開口部3を有するバッテリ収納室4が形成され、上記開口部3よりバッテリ8の出し入れを行う。

上記バッテリ収納室4の底板4bには複数のローラベアリング14が配置され、このローラベアリング14上にバッテリ8が搭載される。また、上記開口部3付近にはバッテリ交換台19を係合するための係合穴15が設けられる。そして、この係合穴15にバッテリ交換台19を係合し、バッテリ8をバッテリ収納室4からバッテリ交換台19まで引き出し、バッテリ8の交換やメンテナンス等を行う。

上記フォークリフト13は旋回時の遠心力で上記開口部3からバッテリ8が外へ飛び出すおそれがあり、飛び出しを防止するためのストッパを設ける必要がある。また、バッテリ収納室4への異物の侵入を防止するため、上記開口部3はカバーで塞がれていることが好ましい。従来の一例として図4に示すものがある。これは、バッテリ8の側方への移動を規制するストッパ16の一端をヒンジ17で車体2に回動可能に支持し、他端をキャッチ18で車体2に固定するものであって、ストッパ16は開口部3全面を塞ぎ、上記カバーの役割も兼ねている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかしながら、重量が大きいバッテリ8の飛び出しを防止するためには、上記キャッチ18は固定力が強固なものでなければならない。これに伴い、ストッパ16の固定及び解除には大きな力を必要とし操作性が悪く、固定するときの反動で、キャッチ18とフレーム19との間に指を挟み、けがをする恐れがあった。

本発明は、上記の問題点に鑑みてなされたものであり、バッテリの飛び出し及びバッテリ収納室への異物の侵入を安全且つ容易に防止することができるバッテリ式フォークリフトを提供することを目的とする。

本発明のバッテリ式フォークリフトは、バッテリを収納するためのバッテリ収納室を車体に有し、該バッテリ収納室に車体の側面からバッテリを出し入れするための開口部を設けたバッテリ式フォークリフトにおいて、上記バッテリが上記バッテリ収納室から側方へ移動することを規制するストッパと、上記開口部を塞ぐカバーとを備え、上記ストッパを係合するストッパ係合部を上記開口部の縁部に設け、上記カバーを係合するカバー係合部を上記ストッパに設けたことを特徴としている。

【発明の実施の形態】
図1ないし図3に本発明の実施例であるリーチ型フォークリフト1を示す。なお、本実施例のリーチ型フォークリフトは図1に示す従来例のリーチ型フォークリフト13と主要な部分が共通するため、これらの共通部分は同一符号を用いて説明を省略する。
