また、畳表張り機としては、特公昭53−10376号のように畳床の框の片側を待ち針で固定し畳表を緊張するといった畳床を弓なりに反らせない方法で畳表を張るものが知られている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
畳床を弓なりに反らせない方法で畳表を張る機械はメリットも多いのあるであるが、畳表の種類、例えば麻引きの畳表等、によってはピンと畳表が張った状態で畳床に縫着するためには、かなり強い力で畳表を緊張させなければならなかった。高級品として扱われる畳表のほとんどが強く緊張させる必要があるものなのである。

上記の課題を解決するために、作業台上面に突出した状態と、作業台上面より下部へ収納した状態の位置切替がなされる畳床の受け部材と、上記畳床の受け部材とリンク機構により連動して作業台上面に突出した状態と、作業台上面よりも下部へ収納した状態の位置切替がなされるフック部材と、
作業台上面で上記畳床受け部材が作業台上面に突出することにより上記畳床受け部材と作業台上面とで斜めに保持された畳床に対して、畳床の巾よりも長い棒状部材であって、その一方端をフック部材に引っかけて、もう一方の端部を作業者が持って体重をかけることにより使用される畳床を反らせる部材とを具備する畳製造用の作業台を提供する。
