本発明は、例えば台所や浴室の壁面に設置され、屋外に設定された給湯器を遠隔操作できるリモコン機能と、台所や浴室内でテレビ放送を見られるテレビ機能とを有するテレビ機能付リモコンに関する。

【従来の技術】
台所や浴室の壁面には、給湯装置の作動を遠隔操作するために、給湯装置の遠隔操作及び作動状況に関する情報を表示できる表示手段を設けたリモコンが設置される。また、台所や浴室でテレビ放送を見られるように小型の液晶テレビを壁面に設置することが多い。この場合、リモコンとテレビとをそれぞれ別個に設けると、壁面が狭くなって美観を損なう等の問題がある。

このため、カラー液晶パネルである表示手段を設けたリモコンにテレビ機能を付加し、この表示手段に、給湯装置の遠隔操作や作動状況に関する第１情報とテレビ放送に関する第２情報とを切換えて表示できるようにしたテレビ機能付リモコン（以下、「リモコン」という）は知られている（特許文献１）。

この場合、リモコンの本体には１個の制御手段が設けられ、この制御手段が、電源スイッチ及び表示手段の入力処理、リモコン機能である表示手段への第１情報の表示や給湯装置の遠隔操作、並びにテレビ機能を実現するテレビ制御手段への入出力処理等を行う。テレビ制御手段は、制御手段からの信号を受けると、テレビ受信器を介してテレビ放送を受信し、表示手段の表示を第１情報からテレビ放送である第２情報に切換える。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかしながら、上記のものでは、給湯装置を遠隔操作した後に給湯装置の作動状況を確認するには、表示手段に第１情報を表示させなければならない。このため、例えば給湯装置を遠隔操作した後にテレビ放送を見ている場合に、給湯装置の作動状況を確認するには、テレビ放送を見るのを一旦中断して表示手段の表示を第１情報に戻す操作を行う必要があり、その操作が面倒で使用者の利便性が悪い。

そこで、本発明は、上記点に鑑み、給湯装置の作動状況を容易に確認できて使用者の利便性がよいテレビ機能付リモコンを提供することを目的とするものである。

【課題を解決するための手段】
上記課題を解決するため、本発明のテレビ機能付リモコンは、給湯装置を遠隔操作できるリモコン機能とテレビ放送を見られるテレビ機能とを有し、この給湯装置の遠隔操作及び作動状況に関する第１情報とテレビ放送受信に関する第２情報とを切換えて表示できる表示手段を設けたテレビ機能付リモコンにおいて、
前記リモコン機能により給湯装置を遠隔操作したとき、第１情報のうち給湯装置の作動に関するものを、前記表示手段とは別に表示する補助表示手段を設け、表示手段に第２情報が表示されている状態で補助表示手段による表示を行うと共に、表示手段が作動していない状態でも補助表示手段による表示を行うことを特徴とする。

本発明によれば、補助表示手段を設けたので、表示手段に第２情報が表示されている場合でも補助表示手段で給湯装置の作動に関する情報を見ることができ、表示手段を第１情報に切換える操作は必要なく、使用者の利便性が向上する。

【発明の実施の形態】
図１及び図２を参照して、１は、テレビ機能付リモコンのリモコン本体であり、台所や浴室の壁面に設置される。リモコン本体１には、屋外に設定された給湯装置２を遠隔操作できるりモコン機能を実現するリモコンモジュール３と、台所や浴室内でテレビ放送を見られるテレビ機能を実現するテレビモジュール４とが相互に独立して内蔵されている。

リモコン本体１には、１個の表示手段５が設けられ、この表示手段５の下方両側には２個の音声出力用のスピーカ６が設けられている。表示手段５は、公知の構造のバックライトを備えたカラー液晶パネルから構成され、この表示手段５には、後述のように、給湯装置２の遠隔操作や作動状況に関する第１情報とテレビ放送に関する第２情報とを切換えて表示できる。

リモコン本体１の前面には、両スピーカ６の間に位置して、例えば給湯装置２の給湯温度などの設定を変更する円形の設定変更スイッチ７１が設けられ、その中央部には変更した設定を有効にする決定部７１ａを有する。ところで、リモコン機能とテレビ機能とを有するリモコン１では、リモコン機能用のスイッチとテレビ機能用のスイッチとが使用者にとって識別し易いようにするのがよい。本実施の形態では、左側に後述のリモコン電源スイッチ３ａを、右側に後述のテレビ電源スイッチ４ａを、設定変更スイッチ７１を中心として左右対称に配置している。この場合、リモコン電源スイッチ３ａ及びテレビ電源スイッチ４ａにＬＥＤなどの表示手段を設けてリモコンモジュール３及びテレビモジュール４の起動、停止を表示できるようにしてもよい。

併せて、リモコン電源スイッチ３ａの下側に、浴槽への自動湯張りや追焚きの指示を行う自動スイッチ７２及び追焚スイッチ７３を設け、テレビ電源スイッチ４ａの下側に、受信したテレビ放送を切換えるチャンネルスイッチ７４と、スピーカ６から出力される音声の音量を変更するボリュームスイッチ７５とを設けた。

屋外に設定された給湯装置２は、公知の構造を有し、ガスバーナなどの加熱源を有する熱交換器を有し、この熱交換器に上水を供給する給水管と給湯個所に通じる出湯管とが接続されている。ガスバーナの加熱量の調節などの給湯装置２の作動は、給湯装置２本体に設けた制御ユニット２１で制御される。

図２に示すように、リモコンモジュール３には、ＣＰＵである第１制御手段３１と画像処理手段３２とが設けられ、この第１制御手段３１は、給湯装置２の制御ユニット２１と通信して、表示手段５に第１情報を表示させると共に給湯装置２を遠隔操作する。画像処理手段３２は、第１制御手段３１からの信号に基いて第１情報の画像を表示手段５に出力する。第１情報には、給湯装置２の作動状況に関する給湯装置２の設定給湯温度、追焚き時の設定温度や自動湯張り時の給湯量などが含まれる。例えば設定給湯温度は、第１情報を表示手段５に表示させた状態で、設定変更スイッチ７１によって変更でき、その中央部の決定部７１ａを押すと有効になる。この場合、有効になった給湯温度が、第１制御手段３１によって制御ユニット２１に出力され、これに基いて給湯装置２の作動が制御される。

また、例えば自動スイッチ７２を押して浴槽への自動湯張りが指示された場合、これを第１制御手段３１が認識し、この制御手段３１によって制御ユニット２１に対して自動湯張りの実行及び設定湯量が出力されると共に、第１情報として「自動湯張中」などの表示を表示手段５に表示させる。尚、自動スイッチ７２及び追焚スイッチ７３には、ＬＥＤ７２ａ、７３ａが組込まれ、「自動湯張り」や「追焚」が実行されている間、点灯する。リモコンモジュール３にはまた、音声制御手段３３が設けられ、この音声制御手段３３によって、第１制御手段３１からの出力に基いて給湯装置２の作動に関する第１情報がリモコン音声としてスピーカ６から出力できる。

本実施の形態では、バックライトの寿命が短くなるのを防止すると共に無駄な電力消費を防止するため、リモコンモジュール３のみが起動されて第１情報が表示手段５に表示されている状態で、所定時間内に第１情報を通じて給湯装置２の遠隔操作が行われない場合、バックライトを一旦消灯する。バックライトは、リモコン電源スイッチ３ａを押すことで再点灯する。

ところで、給湯装置２を遠隔操作した後、給湯装置２の作動状況を確認するのに、常に表示手段５に第１情報を表示させなければならないのでは、使用者の利便性が悪い。本実施の形態では、表示手段５の下側に、複数のＬＥＤ５１ａから構成される補助表示手段５１を設けた。この場合、補助表示手段５１には、使用者にとって給湯装置２の作動状況を確認する必要がある情報のみが表示される。本実施の形態では、ガスバーナが正常に燃焼しているか、浴槽に高温の湯水が供給されているか、給湯装置の作動がタイマ予約されているか、このリモコン１が優先的に給湯装置を遠隔操作できるかを表示させている。

これにより、ガスバーナの作動状況の確認が容易にでき、例えば使用者がテレビ放送を見ているとき、表示手段５の表示を第２情報から第１情報に切換えてガスバーナの作動状況を確認する等の操作を行う必要がなく、使用者の利便性が向上する。また、表示手段５のバックライトを消灯した状態で、例えば追焚スイッチ７３を押して追焚を指示した場合、補助表示画面５１でガスバーナの作動状況を確認できるため、バックライトを点灯させる必要はなく、無駄な電力消費が防止される。

テレビモジュール４には、ＣＰＵである第２制御手段４１が設けられ、第２制御手段４１は、テレビアンテナ（図示せず）に接続されたテレビ受信器４２で受信した第２情報であるテレビ放送を表示手段５に表示させると共に、スピーカ６からテレビ音声を出力させる。第２情報には、テレビ放送の他、複数のテレビ放送から所望のテレビ放送を選択するテレビ選択画面が含まれ、チャンネルスイッチ７４によって選択できる。この場合、第２情報が表示手段５に表示された当初、テレビ映像を選択するテレビ選択画面がオンスクリーン表示され、チャンネルスイッチ７４を操作して所望のテレビ映像を選択できる。テレビ選択画面は、チャンネルスイッチ７４の操作が所定時間行われないと消去される。

リモコンモジュール３の第１制御手段３１とテレビモジュール４の第２制御手段４１とは、動作状況を相互に確認し合うように相互通信可能に接続されている。テレビモジュール４には、相互通信による第１制御手段３１及び第２制御手段４１それぞれの制御状況に応じて、第２制御手段４１からの出力を受けて表示手段５に表示される第１情報と第２情報とを切換えるセレクタ４３と、リモコン音声とテレビ音声とをミキシングしてスピーカ６から出力するミキシング手段４４とが設けられている。尚、表示手段５、この表示手段５の駆動を制御するドライバ４５及びスピーカ６はテレビモジュール４に設けられている。

そして、本実施の形態では、リモコンモジュール３及びテレビモジュール４をそれぞれ起動するリモコン電源スイッチ３ａ及びテレビ電源スイッチ４ａをリモコン本体１の前面にそれぞれ設けている。この場合、リモコン電源スイッチ３ａとテレビ電源スイッチ４ａとは表示手段５が起動していない場合、この表示手段５を起動させる電源スイッチの役割を果たす。この場合、電源Ｅは、家庭用コンセントからリモコンモジュール３及びテレビモジュール４の各電源回路にそれぞれ導入された状態であり、リモコンモジュール３またはテレビモジュール４を起動させたとき、第１制御手段３１または第２制御手段４１によって表示手段５が起動されるようになっている。

表示手段５の起動中の第１情報と第２情報との切換は、リモコン電源スイッチ３ａ及びテレビ電源スイッチ４ａのいずれか一方を押すことで行われ、リモコン電源スイッチ３ａ及びテレビ電源スイッチ４ａは、セレクタ４３を切換える切換スイッチの役割を果たす。尚、テレビ電源スイッチ４ａを押してテレビモジュール４を停止した場合、第２制御手段４１によって、第１情報が表示手段５に表示される状態にセレクタ４３を切換える。

これにより、リモコンモジュール３が何らかの原因で故障しても、テレビ電源４ａを押してテレビモジュール４を起動させ、第２制御手段４１によってセレクタ４３を切換えることで第２情報が表示手段５に表示されると共にスピーカ６からテレビ音声が出力されるため、テレビ放送を見ることができる。また、リモコンモジュール３とテレビモジュール４とを相互に独立して内蔵することで、一方のモジュールが故障した場合、その故障個所の特定が容易であり、その上、その故障したモジュールを交換するだけで現状復帰できるので、故障時の修理コストを安くできる。さらに、例えばテレビ電源スイッチ４ａをＯＮすると表示手段５に第２情報が直ちに表示されるため、テレビを見るための操作手順が少なく使用者の利便性がよい。

本実施の形態では、テレビモジュール４のみが起動されて第２情報が表示手段５に表示されている状態で、所定時間内にチャンネル変更等の操作が行われない場合、テレビモジュール４及び表示手段５をＯＦＦする。これにより、バックライトの寿命が短くなることが防止されると共に無駄な電力消費が防止される。尚、リモコンモジュール３及びテレビモジュール４が起動され、第２情報が表示手段５に表示されている状態で、所定時間内にチャンネル変更等の操作が行われない場合、テレビモジュール４をＯＦＦし、表示手段５の表示が第２情報から第１情報に切換わるようにしている。

次に、図３を参照して、本実施の形態のテレビ機能付リモコン１の作動について説明する。リモコンＯＦＦ状態から給湯装置２の遠隔操作するため、リモコン電源スイッチ３ａを押すと（Ｓ１１）、リモコンモジュール３が起動してＯＮ状態になると共にドライバ４５を介して表示手段５が起動されてＯＮ状態になる。この場合、セレクタ４３が第１情報を表示手段５に表示できる状態であるため、画像処理手段３２からの出力に対応する第１情報が表示手段５に表示されると共に、ミキシング手段４４を介してスピーカ６からリモコン音声が出力される。テレビモジュール４はＯＦＦ状態である。このリモコンモジュール３のＯＮ状態から再度リモコン電源スイッチ３ａを押すと（Ｓ１２）、このリモコンモジュール３と表示手段５とがＯＦＦ状態に戻る。

リモコンＯＦＦ状態からテレビ放送を見るため、テレビ電源スイッチ４ａを押すと（Ｓ１３）、テレビモジュール４が起動してＯＮ状態になると共にドライバ４５を介して表示手段５が起動されてＯＮ状態になる。この場合、第２制御手段４１によってセレクタ４３が切換えられ、表示手段５に第２情報が表示されると共に、ミキシング手段４４を介してテレビ音声がスピーカ６から出力される。リモコンモジュール３はＯＦＦ状態である。このテレビモジュール４のＯＮ状態から再度テレビ電源スイッチ４ａを押すと（Ｓ１４）、このテレビモジュール４と表示手段５とがＯＦＦ状態に戻る。

リモコンモジュール３がＯＮ状態でテレビモジュール４がＯＦＦ状態からテレビ電源スイッチ４ａを押すと（Ｓ１５）、テレビモジュール４が起動してＯＮ状態になる。この場合、第２制御手段４１によってセレクタ４３が切換えられ、表示手段５の表示が第１情報から第２情報に切換わると共に、ミキシング手段４４でテレビ音声とリモコン音声とがミキシングされてスピーカ６から出力される。リモコンモジュール３はＯＮ状態である。

また、テレビモジュール４がＯＮ状態でリモコンモジュール３がＯＦＦ状態からリモコン電源スイッチ３ａを押すと（Ｓ１８）、リモコンモジュール３が起動してＯＮ状態になる。この場合、第１制御手段３１から出力を受けた第２制御手段４１によってセレクタ４３が切換えられ、表示手段５の表示が第２情報から第１情報に切換わると共に、ミキシング手段４４でテレビ音声とリモコン音声とがミキシングされてスピーカ６から出力される。テレビモジュール４はＯＮ状態である。
