本発明は、電子音楽装置及び音楽情報提供サーバに関し、より詳しくは、音楽情報提供サーバに接続可能な電子音楽装置及び該電子音楽装置に接続される音楽情報提供サーバに関する。

従来、複数の通信装置のユーザが、インターネット等の通信ネットワークを介してサーバコンピュータにアクセスし、該複数の通信装置のユーザ同士で音楽に関するチャットができるシステムが知られている。(例えば、特許文献1参照。)

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
従来の通信装置では、各ユーザがどのような電子楽器を持っているかを判別することはできない。また、各ユーザの電子楽器が通信ネットワーク上のサーバに接続されているかどうかを判別することも不可能である。また、その楽器同士が直接データを送受信することも非常に困難である。

本発明の目的は、複数の電子音楽装置が接続可能で、一方の電子音楽装置から提供される情報を他方の電子音楽装置に対して提供可能なサーバを提供することである。

また、本発明の他の目的によれば、サーバに接続されている他の機種のユーザに対して、自身の機種を容易に判別させることのできる電子音楽装置を提供することである。

【課題を解決するための手段】
本発明の一観点によれば、音楽情報提供サーバは、通信ネットワークを介して複数の電子音楽装置と通信可能な通信手段と、前記通信ネットワークを介して、第1の電子音楽装置から楽器情報を受信する受信手段と、前記第1の電子音楽装置の前記通信ネットワークへの接続状況と、前記受信した楽器情報とを記憶する記憶手段と、前記記憶した接続状況と楽器情報とを前記通信ネットワークを介して第2の電子音楽装置に送信する送信手段とを有する。

【発明の実施の形態】
図1は、本発明の実施例による音楽チャットシステム1のネットワーク構成を示すブロック図である。

音楽チャットシステム1は、サーバコンピュータ3S(以下単にサーバ3Sと呼ぶ)、及び複数の電子音楽装置2a〜2dのうちの少なくとも二つが、インターネット等の通信ネットワーク5を介して接続されることにより構成される。

サーバ3Sは、例えば、コンピュータ等で構成され、電子音楽装置2から、該電子音楽装置の機種名(楽器情報)、ユーザ情報等の各種情報を受信し、電子音楽装置2の状況を受信したユーザ名に対応付けてユーザ管理データベース(DB)6に記憶する。また、電子音楽装置2の要求に従い、他の電子音楽装置2の現在の接続状況(オンライン又はオフライン)と、機種名等の各種情報を、ユーザ管理DB6から読み出し、電子音楽装置2へと提供する。

なお、サーバ3Sが、電子音楽装置2から取得する情報としては、機種名、ユーザ情報の他に、例えば、掲示板に掲載するためのテキストデータや、MIDIデータ等の演奏データ等がある。また、サーバ3Sに通知する機種名(楽器の情報)としては、メーカー名、楽器種別(シンセサイザ、電子ピアノ、電子オルガンなど)、製品型番、ニックネーム、音源方式(ハードウェア/ソフトウェア音源、FM/PCM/物理モデル等)など、電子楽器をある程度識別できるものであればどのようなものでもよい。

以上のように、他のユーザの電子音楽装置(又は電子楽器)の種別が簡単に認識できるので、ユーザの所有する電子音楽装置(又は電子楽器)との整合性を認識することが容易に行える。また、音楽チャットを行いたい楽器の種類を簡単に見つけることができる。例えば、自機が電子ピアノである場合に、MIDI信号を出力可能なギター、ベース、ドラムなどと音楽チャットを行いたいときには、楽器情報195を参照することで、簡単に探し出すことができる。なお、本実施例では、ユーザが自分で、所望の楽器を所有するユーザを探すこととしているが、自動的に検索できるようにしてもよい。
