Description

【0001】

[Industrial application fields]
The present invention relates to a lip seal and a stern tube sealing device for a ship that are used in a stern tube sealing device for a ship.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Conventional ship outer stern tube sealing apparatus shown in FIG. In this stern tube sealing device, an elastic seal ring using three lip seals is mounted, the seal rings 21 and 22 are arranged facing the seawater side, and the seal ring 23 is arranged facing the inside of the ship. In addition to sealing seawater, the seal ring 21 has a function of preventing foreign matter from the outboard seawater side from entering the inside of the sealing device as a so-called dust seal. The seal rings 22 and 23 serve to seal seawater or lubricating oil in the stern tube, respectively.
[0003]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
In the conventional outboard stern tube sealing device 20 in FIG. 5 , the seal ring 21 is often damaged by foreign matter from the outside of the ship, particularly fishing nets that have recently become more floating in the sea. The fishing net passes through the gap between the seal ring 21 and the liner 24 and reaches the seal ring 22, and it can be seen that both the seal rings 21 and 22 are damaged.
[0004]
In order to prevent such damage to the seal ring, a fishing net intrusion prevention ring as shown in Japanese Utility Model Application No. 60-19498 is provided on the rear side of the rearmost seal ring. However, adding a fishing net intrusion prevention ring and a support member for housing the fishing net intrusion to the seal device inevitably makes the seal device not only structurally complex but also expensive.
Therefore, in the present invention, there is provided a seal ring provided with fishing net intrusion prevention means for preventing foreign matter in seawater such as fishing nets from entering the seal device without using additional means such as a fishing net intrusion prevention ring. provide.
[0005]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In the lip seal made of rubber or elastomer, a thin film extending from the tip of the lip and having a small diameter toward the front surface of the lip and having a conical surface shape inside diameter is formed integrally with the lip seal. The thickness in the direction cross section gradually decreases from the base of the thin film toward the tip, and the tip of the thin film is not rounded, and further, a depression is provided over the entire inner circumference of the base of the thin film, The inner surface of the thin film is formed separately from the tip of the lip by this recess, and in the free state where the shaft or liner is not inserted, compared to the angle between the lip sliding surface and the shaft center in the axial section of the lip seal A thin film characterized by a small angle between the shaft and the axis prevents fishing nets from entering and protects the tip of the lip.
[0006]
It may also have a groove leading to the axial direction is provided in the inner surface of the thin film from the base of the thin film to the tip.
According to another aspect of the present invention, in the stern tube sealing device constituted by a seal ring using a plurality of lip seals, the lip seal with a thin film is mounted as a seal ring facing at least the seawater side.
[0007]
[Action]
According to the thin film with the lip seal described above, the thin film is formed integrally with the lip seal, the inner diameter surface becomes smaller diameter to name a conical surface shape toward the lip front extends from the lip tip, yet the inner diameter surface of the thin-film Since the angle between the shaft and the shaft center is small , the inner diameter surface of the thin film can be easily brought into sliding contact with the entire circumference of the sliding surface of the shaft or liner regardless of whether or not it is rotated. Is gradually thinned from the base of the thin film toward the tip, and the tip is not rounded. For this reason, foreign matter such as fishing nets are not present between the peripheral surface on the inner diameter side of the thin film and the shaft or liner surface. Since it does not sink in, it can prevent foreign matter from passing through this thin film and reaching the lip tip, and a dent is provided around the entire inner diameter of the base of the thin film, which separates the lip tip from the thin film. Formation Because it is, lubrication of the lip end is secured easily wear is unlikely to occur. Therefore, the lip tip is not damaged by foreign matter in the sea, and the reliability as a lip seal is improved.
Furthermore, by applying this lip seal with a thin film to a seal ring facing at least the seawater side of the rear stern tube sealing device, the reliability of the entire stern tube sealing device is increased without making the stern tube sealing device complex and expensive. be able to.
[0008]
【Example】
Embodiments of the present invention will be described below with reference to FIGS. 1, 2, 3, and 4. FIG . FIG. 1 shows a first embodiment of a lip seal with a thin film. A thin film 3 extending from a corresponding portion of a lip tip 2 of a lip seal 1 made of rubber or elastomer has a small diameter toward a lip front side 4 and has an inner diameter. The surface 5 is formed integrally with the lip seal 1 so as to form a conical curved surface, and the thickness of the thin film 3 in the axial cross section gradually decreases from the root 6 to the tip 7 of the thin film. Further, the tip 7 of the thin film 3 is not rounded, and further, a depression 8 is provided over the entire circumference of the inner diameter surface 5 of the thin film 3, and the angle formed by the inner diameter surface 5 of the thin film 3 and the axis 11 in a free state. α is made smaller than the angle β formed between the lip sliding surface 9 and the shaft center 11 . Therefore, as shown in FIG. 2, when the liner 24 is inserted into the lip seal 1, the angle α is small, so that the deformation of the thin film 3 can be reduced, and the inner diameter surface 5 of the thin film 3 has no gap over the entire circumference of the liner 24. It will be in the state of sliding contact. For this reason, foreign matter such as fishing nets cannot enter between the thin film 3 and the liner 24, and the lip tip 2 can be prevented from being damaged by foreign matter. Further, since the lip tip 2 and the thin film 3 are formed separately by the recess 8, lubrication of the lip tip 2 is easily ensured and wear is less likely to occur.
[0009]
FIG. 3 shows a second embodiment of the lip seal with a thin film. In contrast to the first embodiment shown in FIG. 1 , one or a plurality of grooves 10 connected in the axial direction from the root 6 to the tip 7 of the thin film 3 are provided. It is a thing. The groove 10 facilitates lubrication and cooling of the lip tip 2 because the fluid staying between the thin film 3 and the lip tip 2 is easily replaced with the fluid outside the thin film 3 when the liner 24 is inserted. Thus, wear and deterioration of the lip tip 2 and its surroundings are less likely to occur.
[0010]
In the embodiment of the outboard stern tube sealing device 20 shown in FIG. 4 , reference numerals 1, 22 and 23 are rubber or elastomer elastic seal rings which are in sliding contact with a liner 24 attached to the propeller shaft 25, and these are hull stern members. It is held by the housing member 27 of the outboard stern tube sealing device 20 that is fixed to 26. The seal rings 1 and 22 are on the stern side and are arranged toward the seawater side to seal the seawater. Further, the seal ring 23 is arranged toward the inner side of the ship and functions to seal the stern tube lubricating oil. In this embodiment, the lip seal 1 with a thin film shown in the first embodiment is mounted as the last seal ring, and this allows foreign matter such as fishing nets to enter the sealing device. Stop.
[0011]
【The invention's effect】
As described above, the lip seal with a thin film of the present invention can prevent foreign matter in the sea such as fishing nets from passing through this thin film and reaching the lip tip, so that the lip tip is not damaged by the foreign matter, and as a result Reliability as a lip seal is improved.
Furthermore, by applying this lip seal with a thin film to a seal ring facing at least the seawater side of the rear stern tube sealing device, the reliability of the stern tube sealing device can be enhanced without making the stern tube sealing device complicated and expensive. .
