本発明は、自転車の略全体を覆う走行用カバー体付自転車に関する。

従来、太陽光線の直射による紫外線を防止するため、運転者の頭上のみを覆うカバー体は知られており、その上面に太陽電池を取付け、この太陽電池により自転車に搭載されるヘッドライトやバッテリー等に電力を供給する走行用カバー体付自転車は知られている(例えば、特許文献1参照。)。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかし、運転者の全体を覆うカバー体を設けてないため、運転者の全身を紫外線から守ることが困難であると共に、雨、雪、風等の悪天候や障害物から運転者の身を守ることも困難であり、また、カバー体に覆われていないハンドルや車輪等の自転車部分が走行中に歩行者や周囲の物と接触して、損傷を受けたり与えたりする課題があった。

【課題を解決するための手段】
そこで、本発明は、請求項1に記載のように、自転車の略全体を覆う走行用カバー体を一体に設けると共に、該走行用カバー体に車内から操作可能な走行用電気部品を設け、該走行用電気部品を作動させる蓄電池を設けると共に、走行用カバー体に前記蓄電池を充電する太陽電池を設けてなる走行用カバー体付自転車を提供するものである。

本発明によれば、自転車の略全体を覆う走行用カバー体を一体に設けてあるから、周囲の歩行者等を自転車のハンドルや車輪等から守り、同時に、雨、風等の天候や障害物から運転者の全身を守ることができ、また、走行時に前からの空気抵抗を受け難くすることができ、走行用カバー体にヘッドライト、テールランプ、方向指示器、ワイパー、ホーン等からなる電気部品を設けることにより、ほぼ全体を走行用カバー体で覆われた運転者の意思を電気部品によって外部に容易に伝えることができ、また、蓄電池によって電気部品を昼夜を問わず点灯又は作動させることができ、さらに、走行用カバー体に設けた太陽電池により蓄電池に常時充電すると共に日中に充電した電力を夜間に利用することができ、また、強い日差しを太陽電池で遮ることができる。

また、本発明は、請求項2に記載のように、請求項1に記載の走行用カバー体付自転車において、前記走行用カバー体に、前記太陽電池と走行用カバー体の間に通気隙間部を設けて前記太陽電池を取付けてなる走行用カバー体付自転車を提供するものである。

本発明によれば、太陽電池と走行用カバー体の間に通気隙間部を設けてあるから、その通気隙間部に風が入って、温度上昇した太陽電池を空冷すると同時に走行用カバー体を空冷することができ、特に通気隙間部に面した走行用カバー体の部分では、空気の流れが速いから、浮力により自転車の走行を軽快にし同時に空冷効果を向上させることができる。

本発明によれば、走行用カバー体の表面に沿って、太陽電池を設けてあるから、太陽電池の設置面積を拡大することができると共に、走行用カバー体の形状を維持して空気抵抗を低減することができ、また、走行用カバー体のデザイン上の自由度を増すこともできる。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下図示する実施例により本発明の実施の形態を説明する。
本発明に係る走行カバー体付自転車本体は、図5乃至図9に記載の実施例において、1は二輪、三輪又は四輪等の自転車本体で、その前部には、前輪16を含めて前部正面と前部側面を覆う前部カバー体2を固定部材3等により一体に固定してあると共に、その後部には、後輪17を含めて後部背面と後部側面を覆う後部カバー体5を固定フレーム4等により一体に固定してある。

自転車本体1の中間上部には、前記前部カバー体1と後部カバー体5の上端部を連結する形で天井カバー体6が設けてあり、前部カバー体1と後部カバー体5及び天井カバー体6が一体となって本発明に係る走行用カバー体50を構成している。なお、走行用カバー体50には、後述する側面カバー体30がチャック脱可能に設けてある。

図示の実施例の場合、図6に記載のように、固定部材3はハンドル20と共には回転しない自転車のハンドル軸受体15から前方に突設した支持部材22に一体に取り付けてある。

前部カバー体2のほぼ上半分には、図8に記載のように、前面窓部7と前側面窓部8とからなるフロント窓9が、透明窓部として一体に設けてあると共に、後部カバー体5のほぼ上半分には、図9に記載のように、後面窓部11と後側面窓部12とからなるリヤ窓10が、透明窓部として一体に設けてある。13は前照灯、14は後方反射灯で、本発明の走行用電気部品を構成するものである。

従って、天井カバー体6に連なる前部カバー体1の上端部から下端部方向に向かってフロント窓9は、運転者の前方と側面に上方に大きく広がる一連の透明窓部を形成すると共に、天井カバー体6に連なる後部カバー体5の上端部から下端部方向に向かってリヤ窓10は、運転者の後方と側面に上方に広がる一連の透明窓部を形成している。
図示の如く、天井カバー体6は、自転車本体1の車体長のほぼ中央、即ち、走行用カバー体50のほぼ中央より後方に位置して設けてあり、且つ、天井カバー体6を前面窓部7に対して直線的に連続するようにしたことにより、前面窓部7を運転者の頭上近くまで視界を広くすることができると共に、車体を流線型にすることができる。

また、本発明に係る走行カバー体付自転車においては、透明窓部であるフロント窓9を前面窓部7とその両側の前側面窓8に分割して設けると共に、リヤ窓10を後面窓部11とその両側の後側面窓部12に分割して設け、それらの分割境界部分を合成樹脂製、ゴム製材料等からなる柔軟な弾性体23、24で屈曲可能に連結してある。
図10に示す実施例の場合、柔軟な弾性体23,24により屈曲した状態で、前部カバー体9又は後部カバー体10の、前面窓部7又は後面窓部11に対して、その両側面窓8,12を90°近い角度で屈曲して連結することができるから、両側面にも広く透明窓部を設けることができるのみならず、その分割境界部分を柔軟な弾性体で連結することによって、風雨の漏洩を阻止し、自由な形状に加工でき、且つ、加工及び組立工程を容易にすることができる。

なお、図5に示す実施例の場合、前側面窓部8と前部カバー体2の側縁部25との間を、前記同様の柔軟な弾性体31により連結すると共に、後側面窓部12と後部カバー体5の側縁部26との間を、同様の柔軟な弾性体32により連結してあり、側面窓8,12と側縁部25,26との自由に湾曲した接合を可能にし、風雨の漏洩を阻止し、且つ、加工工程を容易にすることができる。
また、本発明は、図11及び図12に記載の実施例の場合、走行カバー体付自転車の前部カバー体2のフロント窓9において、前面窓部7と前側面窓部8との境界に天井カバー体6と前部カバー体2とを一体に連結する一体連結部33を設けると共に、一体連結部33と前面窓部7及び前側面窓部8との接続部に柔軟な弾性体34,35を介在せしめて、前面窓部7の両側縁部に連続して前側面窓部8を柔軟な弾性体を介して設けてある。

この構造は、後部カバー体5のリヤ窓10においても、後面窓部11と後側面窓部12との境界に天井カバー体6と後部カバー体5とを一体に連結する一体連結部33を設けると共に、一体連結部33と後面窓部11及び後側面窓部12との接続部に柔軟な弾性体34,35を介在せしめて、後面窓部11の両側縁部に連続して後側面窓部12を柔軟な弾性体を介して設けてある。
その結果、カバー体全体をガラス繊維強化不飽和ポリエステル樹脂等の強化プラスチック(FPR)により一体成形することができ、図8に記載のように、一体連結部33によって天井カバー体6と前部カバー体2又は後部カバー体5とを一体に強固に連結することができると共に、強固な一体連結部33を中間に介して前面窓部7と両前側面窓部8、或いは、後面窓部11と両後側面窓部12を弾性体により弾性的に柔軟に円滑に連結することができる。

図14、図16又は図17に記載の実施例の場合、前部カバー体2、後部カバー体5及び天井カバー体6の側縁部25,26,27に、前記着脱部材28により簡易固定枠40を設け、その内側に、スライドファスナー、面ファスナー等の簡易着脱ファスナー41の一方のファスナー部42を設けて、側面カバー体30の外周縁部に設けた他方のファスナー部39が着脱自在に係合するように構成してある。簡易固定枠40の簡易着脱部材41によって、側面カバー体30の着脱を迅速、簡単に行えるのみならず、ファスナー部39,42を部分的に着脱して、乗り降りや窓の開閉に代わる側面カバー体30の開閉やカバー室内の空気の出し入れを適宜に容易に行うことができる。

なお、図16又は図17に記載の実施例の場合は、前部カバー体2、後部カバー体5及び天井カバー体6の側縁部25,26,27のカバー内側側面に、係止ボタン37を適宜な間隔で設け、これに側面カバー体30の外側縁部に設けた嵌合ボタン38を着脱可能に装着するように前記着脱部材28は構成してある。
なお、この場合は、側縁部25,26,27が側面カバー体30より外側に張り出して、ひさしの代わりになり、雨水等が入り難くすることができる。また、図17の場合には、係止ボタン37の取付面43が傾斜していることにより、側面カバー体30がカバー内側に出っ張らず、運転者の邪魔にならない利点がある。

上記の構成からなる走行用カバー体付自転車において、本発明は、図1に示す実施例の場合、走行用カバー体50の天井カバー体6上に、取付支柱8,9により通気隙間部46を介在させて本発明に係る太陽電池を構成する太陽電池モジュールユニット51を取り付けてある。従って、太陽電池モジュールユニット51と走行用カバー体50との間には、走行用カバー体50の前方から後方に向かって、通気隙間部46によって空気が自由に通り、太陽電池モジュールユニット51を介して走行カバー体50が浮力を受け得るように構成してある。
また、通気隙間部46に面した走行用カバー体50の天井カバー体6部分では、日陰になるのみならず、空気の流れが速いから、空冷効果を受けることとなる。なお、図1において、47は本発明に係る走行用電気部品を構成するフロント窓9のワイパーである。

実施例の場合、太陽電池モジュール53は、前記弾性体23,24、31,32又は34,35と同様に合成樹脂、合成ゴム等からなる柔軟性のある弾性体49によって、周囲を囲む形で走行用カバー体50に嵌合して固定してある。なお、弾性体49に代え、又は同時に固定用金具で上下から挟み込んで固定することも可能である。また、個々の太陽電池モジュール53は、前記太陽電池モジュール52のように小型のものに限らず、複数個を太陽電池モジュールユニット51のように大型にしたものでも良い。

また、実施例の場合、自転車本体1は、ペダルを踏むことで後輪17が回転し、この後輪17の回転に伴って発電する発電機54を設けてあり、図4に記載のように、この発電機54により発電された電力を電気回路基盤55を介して蓄電池57に充電するように構成してある。

以上の通り、本発明に係る走行用カバー体付自転車によれば、特許請求の範囲の請求項1に記載のように、自転車の略全体を覆う走行用カバー体を一体に設けると共に、該走行用カバー体の内外に車内から操作可能な走行用電気部品を設け、該走行用電気部品を作動させる蓄電池を設けると共に、走行用カバー体に前記蓄電池を充電する太陽電池を設けてなる構成を有することにより、自転車の略全体を覆う走行用カバー体を一体に設けてあるから、周囲の歩行者等を自転車のハンドルや車輪等から守り、同時に、雨、風等の天候や障害物から運転者の全身を守ることができ、また、走行時に前からの空気抵抗を受け難くすることができ、走行用カバー体にヘッドライト、テールランプ、方向指示器、ワイパー、ホーン等からなる電気部品を設けることにより、ほぼ全体を走行用カバー体で覆われた運転者の意思を電気部品によって外部に容易に伝えることができ、また、蓄電池によって電気部品を昼夜を問わず点灯又は作動させることができ、さらに、走行用カバー体に設けた太陽電池により蓄電池に常時充電すると共に日中に充電した電力を夜間に利用することができ、また、強い日差しを太陽電池で遮ることができる効果がある。
