パーティション・パネルなどには、板状をなすペーパーハニカムをコアとし、このハニカムコアとチャネル状をなす枠材とを、薄板鋼板などで構成される表裏パネルによって挟み込んだ上で、化粧部材を枠材にタッピングビス等で組み付け固定してなるドアが従来使用されている。かかる構成は、この種のドアがパーティション・パネルなどに使用される関係上、安定性等の点から重量をあまり大きくすることができないことに鑑みられたものである。

一方、このようなドアに、ドアノブやラッチ爪、施錠機構等を設ける場合には、これらをケーシングに一体的に装着してなるドアロック装置を、ドア本体の反吊元側に取り付けるようにしている。具体的にこのドアロック装置は、ラッチ爪や施錠機構等を内蔵したケーシングと、ドア本体を外側から厚み方向に挟み込むようにして前記ケーシングに固定されるノブ支持部材と、このノブ支持部材を介して前記ケーシングに取り付けられるドアノブとを具備するものである。
