尚、読み取りセンサー25は、CCD(charge coupled device) であっても良い。

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a reading device including a lock mechanism that can hold a platen in a state where the platen is pressed by a reading sensor.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Usually, a facsimile machine prints an original image based on image information and a reading unit that reads the image as image information so that an image such as a document or a drawing described in a manuscript can be transmitted via a telephone line. The printer includes a printing unit and a transmission / reception unit that transmits and receives image information as a voice signal via a telephone line.
[0003]
The reading unit presses the platen roller against a reading sensor that is installed in the width direction of the document, feeds the document between the platen roller and the reading sensor, and then rotates the platen roller to scan the document. Image information of the entire document is obtained by sequentially reading the images in the width direction while sending them out in the longitudinal direction. At this time, if the original is lifted with respect to the reading sensor or the reading sensor is contaminated, the reading accuracy of the image information is lowered.
[0004]
Therefore, conventionally, a pair of platen support members that pivotally support both ends of the platen roller are connected to each other by a shaft member arranged in parallel with the platen roller, and the shaft member is rotated. A lock mechanism configured to raise and lower the platen support member as a moving center and hold it at the lower limit position is provided. According to this lock mechanism, when the image is read, the platen support member is lowered to the lower limit position so that the platen roller is held in pressure contact with the reading sensor to prevent the document from being lifted. ing. Also, when the reading sensor is soiled or a paper jam occurs, cleaning work and paper jam recovery work can be performed by lifting the platen roller and raising it together with the platen support member to separate it from the reading sensor. It is possible.
[0005]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, the above-described conventional configuration has a problem in that workability is low because the operator needs to lift the platen roller away from the reading sensor during cleaning work or paper jam recovery work.
[0006]
Further, in the configuration in which the platen support members are connected to each other by the shaft member arranged in parallel with the platen roller as described above, the shaft member has a large size substantially the same length as the platen roller. Since it is necessary to secure an installation space along the platen roller, there is also a problem that the size of the reading device and the facsimile machine including the reading device is increased.
[0007]
Therefore, the present invention can obtain good workability by separating the platen roller from the reading sensor without lifting the platen roller by the operator at the time of cleaning work or paper jam recovery work. In addition, an object of the present invention is to provide a reading device capable of reducing the size of the reading device by reducing the arrangement space of components.
[0008]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to solve the above problems, the invention of claim 1 is directed to a locking mechanism that supports a platen so as to be movable back and forth with respect to a reading sensor and can hold the platen in a state in which the reading sensor is pressed against the reading sensor; In the reading apparatus including an openable / closable cover member that covers the platen, the lock mechanism includes a platen support member that pivotally supports an end portion of the platen, a standing state that separates the platen from the reading sensor, and the standing configuration. The platen support member can selectively take a tilted state in which the platen is brought into contact with the reading sensor by tilting in a predetermined direction from the state, and the reading is performed when the platen support member is in the tilted state. The reading of the platen while prohibiting the platen from moving in a direction away from the sensor A rotation support member that supports the platen support member so as to maintain pressure on the sensor, and an end of the platen support member in a direction away from the reading sensor when the platen support member is in the standing state. When the cover member is closed, the platen support member is pressed so as to change from the standing state to the tilted state by being in contact with the cover member and being pressed from the cover member when the cover member is closed. And a lever member.
Accordingly, when the platen support member is standing, the platen is separated from the reading sensor, so that the operator cleans the reading sensor while lifting the platen or removes the jammed paper. Is unnecessary, and the reading device can be easily handled.
Furthermore, since the locking mechanism can be configured by the platen support member and the rotation support member provided at both ends of the platen, the shaft member is provided horizontally across the both ends of the platen to form the locking mechanism. Compared to the case, the component size can be reduced, the arrangement space of the components can be reduced, and the reading device can be reduced in size.
Further, when the cover member is closed, the lever member comes into contact with the cover member, and the platen support member is moved in the reading sensor direction while being tilted in a predetermined direction and is held by the rotation support member. And the operation of returning the platen to the pressing state against the reading sensor can be performed at the same time, and the operability is improved.
[0009]
According to a second aspect of the present invention, there is provided the reading device according to the first aspect, wherein when the platen support member is in an upright state, a separation portion having a top portion protruding from the one end of the platen toward the reading sensor side. The platen support member is integrally provided, and the platen is separated from the reading sensor by the top portion of the separation portion coming into contact with the reading sensor when the platen supporting member is in the standing state. When the cover member is closed, the platen support member is tilted with the top of the separation portion as a fulcrum so that the state of the platen support member changes from the standing state to the tilted state. The cover member presses the platen support member.
A third aspect of the present invention is the reading apparatus according to the first or second aspect, wherein the platen support member includes a slide member that is slidably supported by the rotation support member. A first curved surface projecting in a direction approaching the reading sensor when the member is in the standing state, a second curved surface projecting in a direction away from the reading sensor, and the first and second curved surfaces. A first passage surface that connects one end portion and a second passage surface that connects the other end portions are formed on the sliding member, and is sandwiched between the first and second passage surfaces of the sliding member. A rotation support member is provided in the rotation support member, and a direction approaching the reading sensor from the standing state. Along the front A sliding member passes through the opening, and the first and second curved surfaces are slidably fitted into the fitting holes so that the platen support member can be inclined in the predetermined direction. It is characterized by being configured.
The invention according to claim 4 is the reading device according to any one of claims 1 to 3, wherein the opening and the fitting hole are connected when the platen support member is in the tilted state. The second curved surface and the fitting so as to restrict the movement of the platen support member in the direction away from the reading sensor by fitting and holding the second curved surface in the fitting hole in the position. It is characterized in that a hole is formed.
Invention of
[0010]
A sixth aspect of the present invention is the reading apparatus according to any one of the first to fifth aspects, wherein the platen support member regulates a passage of a document. paper The upper limit of the movement along the direction away from the reading sensor is limited by the chute cover.
As a result, the upper limit of the movement of the platen support member in the forward / backward direction is reduced. paper Since it is limited by the chute cover and the platen support member can always be maintained attached to the reader main body, it is possible to prevent the platen from falling off the reader main body.
