本発明は、電子カメラおよび電子カメラ付き携帯電話装置に関する。

【従来の技術】
CCDで撮像したデイジタル画像情報を処理する電子カメラの小型化が進み、電子カメラを携帯電話装置に搭載して使用者の顔を撮影したり、付近の風景を撮影したりできるようにしたいわゆる電子カメラ付き携帯電話装置(以下、カメラ付き携帯電話装置と略す)が実用化されている。なお、カメラ付き携帯電話装置に搭載した一つのカメラで、手前側と向こう側の両方を撮影するためにカメラを回転させたり、着脱式にして向きを変えたりする方法が知られているが(例えば、特許文献1参照)、最近では、図14と図15に示すように、開閉する筐体の外側の表面に一つのカメラを搭載し、開閉する筐体を閉じた状態で手前側にある使用者の顔を撮影し、開閉する筐体を開いた状態で、向こう側である使用者の顔と反対側の画像を撮影できるようにしたカメラ付き携帯電話装置が実用化されている。

図14は、カメラ付き携帯電話装置20の開閉する筐体を開いた状態の外観図であり、カメラ24は向こう側を向いている。図15は、カメラ付き携帯電話装置20の開閉する筐体を閉じた状態の外観図であり、カメラ24は手前側を向いている。図14でカメラ付き携帯電話装置20は、ヒンジ部21のある第一の筐体22に、第二の筐体23を開閉自在に支承している。第一の筐体22と第二の筐体23の内側には、受話部であるレシーバー223と送話部であるマイクロフォン224と電話番号等をキー入力するキー操作部217と第一のモニター手段25を設けている。通話時は第二の筐体23を開いて使用する。

図15に示すように、カメラ付き携帯電話装置20では、第二の筐体23が閉じた状態で露出している第二の筐体23の表面にカメラ24を搭載し、第二のモニター手段27をカメラ24と同じ面に設けている。第一の筐体22の側面には、カメラモードの動作を開始させるカメラモード開始スイッチ26を設けている。なお、ここでカメラモードとは、撮像手段であるカメラ24に電源を投入し、カメラ24で取り込んだ画像信号を図示しない筐体内部の画像処理手段に送り、第一のモニター手段25または第二のモニター手段27にモニター画像を表示し、撮影スイッチ手段が押されたときには、撮影した画像を同じく図示しないメモリーに記憶し、記憶した画像を第一のモニター手段25または第二のモニター手段27に表示するという動作モードである。撮影スイッチ手段は、前記のカメラモード開始スイッチ26を、一度、長押ししてカメラモードを動作させてから、再び押すことで撮影スイッチ手段として機能するようにしている。

カメラ付き携帯電話装置20の使用者(撮影者)は、上記カメラ付き携帯電話装置20を第二の筐体23を閉じたまま手に持ち、カメラモード開始スイッチ26を押してカメラモードを動作させ、カメラがとらえている自分の顔を第二のモニター表示手段27に表示させて、撮影スイッチ手段を押して自分の顔を撮影することができる。使用者の顔と反対側の画像を撮影するときには、第二の筐体23を開き、同様にカメラモードを動作させて、カメラ24がとらえている使用者の顔と反対側の画像を、第二の筐体23の内側の第一のモニター表示手段25に表示させ、撮影スイッチ手段を押して、使用者の顔と反対側の画像を撮影することができる。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
従来の一般的な電子カメラは、単一の筐体の一つの面にカメラを設け、カメラの反対側の面にモニター画面を設けている。撮影する時は、被写体にカメラを向け、カメラの反対側のモニター画面を使用者(撮影者)が見て撮影スイッチ手段を押す構造にしている。そのため、電子カメラを手で持って使用者自身の顔を撮影するときには、電子カメラを裏返して操作する。この場合、使用者自身が被写体になるのでカメラの反対側にあるモニター画面を使用者が見ることが出来ない。

前述の図14と図15に示したカメラ付き携帯電話装置20は、開閉する第二の筐体23の外側にカメラ24を設け、開閉する第二の筐体23の表面と裏面にそれぞれ第一のモニター手段25と、第二のモニター手段27を設けたことによって、第二の筐体23を閉じた状態でカメラ24でとらえた使用者自身の顔を第二のモニター手段27に表示して撮影し、第二の筐体23を開いた状態で第一のモニター表示手段25にカメラ24でとらえた使用者の顔と反対側の画像をモニター表示して撮影できるようにしたという点は改良されているが、第二の筐体23を閉じたまま撮影できるのは、第二のモニター手段27を見ている使用者の顔側(手前側)の画像だけである。第二の筐体23を閉じたまま使用者の顔と反対側(向こう側)の画像を撮影することはできない。

また、第二の筐体23を開けて使用者の顔と反対側(向こう側)の画像を撮影するとしても、カメラ付き携帯電話装置20を取り出して(操作1)、第二の筐体23を開いて(操作2)、カメラモードにして(操作3)、被写体にカメラを向けて(操作4)、撮影する(操作5)という一連の操作が必要である。手で持っている筐体は第一の筐体22であり、カメラ24が搭載されているのは第一の筐体22のヒンジの先に所定の角度でついている第二の筐体23であるため、カメラ24の向きを正確に被写体に合わせるには、第一のモニター表示手段25をよく見る必要がある。予め、閉じた状態でカメラモードの動作を開始して、第二の筐体23が開いたら、第二の筐体23の内側にある第一のモニター手段25にモニター画像を自動的に表示させて、撮影スイッチ手段を押して撮影するというようにしたとしても、第二の筐体23を開けてからモニター画像を見て、カメラの向きを決めるというのでは、一瞬のシャッターチャンスを狙って撮影するときには使いにくい。

【課題を解決するための手段】
本発明は、前記第一の課題を解決するために、第一の筐体に対して第二の筐体を開閉自在に支承し、折り畳んだ状態で露出している第一の筐体の表面と第二の筐体の表面にそれぞれカメラを一つずつ設け、撮影するカメラを選択して撮影するようにしている。

上記構成を採ることにより、電子カメラあるいはカメラ付き携帯電話装置を手で持った状態で、裏返すことなく、使用者の顔側の画像と使用者の顔と反対側の画像を選択的に撮影することができる。

【発明の実施の形態】
本発明の電子カメラは、ヒンジを有する第一の筐体と、ヒンジにより第一の筐体に対して開閉自在に支承した第二の筐体と、第一の筐体に対して第二の筐体が閉じた状態で露出している第一の筐体の表面に設けた第一のカメラと、同じく第二の筐体が閉じた状態で露出している第二の筐体の表面に設けた第二のカメラと、第一のカメラと第二のカメラの撮影動作を制御する制御手段と、撮影するカメラを選択するカメラ選択手段と、モニター手段と、画像記憶手段と、撮影スイッチ手段とを有し、カメラ選択手段により撮影するカメラを選択して撮影する構成を採る。

(実施の形態1)
図1に本発明の第1の実施の形態に係るカメラ付き携帯電話装置100の概略断面図を示す。カメラ付き携帯電話装置100は、底面に第一のカメラ28を有する第一の筐体22から延びているアームの先のヒンジ21に、第二の筐体23を開閉自在に支承している。第一の筐体22には、カメラ付き携帯電話装置100の本体基板215を設けている。本体基板215には、全体制御手段18、メモリー19、無線部220の各回路やキー操作部217、マイクロフォン224、開閉検出手段221を実装し、第一のカメラ28を本体基板215に接続している。

第二の筐体23には、外側に第二のカメラ29と第二のモニター手段27を設け、内側に開閉検出用の磁石222と、レシーバー223と、第一のモニター手段25を設けている。第一のモニター手段25と第二のモニター手段27の間には、モニター手段の照明用のバックライト9を取り付けている。なお、第一のモニター手段25と第二のモニター手段27は接続用フレキシブル基板3で接続し、共通のドライバー回路4で駆動している。第一のモニター手段25と、バックライト9と、レシーバー223と、第二のカメラ29は、一部図示していないが、先端が分岐した制御用フレキシブル基板216にそれぞれ接続されており、制御用フレキシブル基板216の他端は第一の筐体22内の本体基板215に接続している。

図2に上記本発明の第1の形態に係るカメラ付き携帯電話装置100の概略ブロック図を示す。図2で全体制御手段18は、カメラ付き携帯電話装置100の全体的な動作を制御する。全体制御手段18は全透過型の液晶表示装置である第一のモニター手段25用のバックライト9、開閉検出手段221、キー操作部217、無線通信を行う無線部220,撮影用のフレームやマーカースタンプ用の記号、文字などの画像情報を記憶したメモリー19、受話用のレシーバー223、送話用のマイクロフォン224と接続している。

そして、全体制御手段18には、第一のカメラ28と第二のカメラ29の撮影動作を制御するカメラモード制御手段50を接続している。カメラモード制御手段50の中には、カメラ切替手段51を設けて、後述するキー操作部217のカメラ切り替えスイッチ52の入力により、撮影を行なうカメラとして選択されたカメラについてカメラモードの動作をさせるように制御している。すなわち、カメラモード制御手段50は全体制御手段18によるカメラ付き携帯電話装置100の全体的な制御の下、キー操作部217からカメラモード開始信号が入力され、カメラ切り替えスイッチ52の入力がされると、カメラ切替手段51により、撮影に使用するカメラに図示しない充電電池等の電源手段から電源を投入し、撮像した画像処理を行う。

カメラモード制御手段50には、ドライバー回路4を接続して、その先に第一のモニター手段25と第二のモニター手段27を接続している。ドライバー回路4には表示する画像情報を一時記憶するメモリー部41と表示切替部42を設けている。表示切替部42は、後述する第一のカメラ用メモリー61、第二のカメラ用メモリー62、あるいは合成写真用メモリー63から読み出してメモリー部41に記憶させた画像情報を第一のモニター手段25に表示させるか、第二のモニター手段27に表示させるか、それとも両方に同時に表示させるかを切り替える。なお図2では第一のモニター手段25と第二のモニター手段27を一つのドライバー回路4で駆動しているが、第一のモニター手段25用と第二のモニター手段27用にそれぞれのドライバー回路を設けて駆動するようにしてもよい。

図5に、本発明のカメラ付き携帯電話装置100で撮影するときの基本的な制御手順をフローチャートとして示す。まず、カメラ付き携帯電話装置100を持った使用者(撮影者)が、キー操作部217の図示しない電源スイッチをオンにする(ステップ101)。第一の筐体の側面のカメラモード開始スイッチ26を押してカメラモード選択信号を入力し、カメラモードを動作させる(ステップ102)。次に、カメラ切り替えスイッチ52を用いて撮影するカメラを選択する(ステップ103)。全体制御手段18は開閉検出手段221から第二の筐体23が開いているか閉じているかの開閉状態情報を得る(ステップ104)。閉じていれば、第二のモニター手段27に選択したカメラのモニター画像を表示する(ステップ105)。第二の筐体23が開いていれば、キー操作部217によりモニター手段を選択する(ステップ106)。そして、選択したモニター手段に選択したカメラのモニター画像を表示する(ステップ107)。なおステップ103で、2つのカメラを選択しているときは、モニター手段の画面を第一の表示領域と第二の表示領域に分割して、第一の表示領域には第一のカメラ28の画像を、第二の表示領域には第二のカメラ29の画像を表示する。

(実施の形態2)
次に、本発明の第2の実施の形態に係るカメラ付き携帯電話装置について説明する。図6は、本発明の第2の実施の形態に係るカメラ付き携帯電話装置200を第二の筐体23を開いた状態で撮影しようとしている状況を示す概念図である。図6では、キャッチボールをしているAさん30の姿と、Bさん31の姿を、図示しないCさんがカメラ付き携帯電話装置200で、第二の筐体23を開いて、第一のカメラ28と第二のカメラ29で同時撮影をしようとしている。図示しないCさんは、カメラ付き携帯電話装置200でカメラモード開始スイッチ26を押して、カメラモードを動作させ、カメラ付き携帯電話装置200のカメラ切り替えスイッチ52で、第一のカメラ28と第二のカメラ29の両方を撮影するカメラとして選択する。そして、第一のカメラ28をAさん30に向け、第二のカメラ29をBさん31に向けている。

また、第一のカメラ用メモリー61と第二のカメラ用メモリー62には、それぞれ第一のカメラ28で撮影した画像と第二のカメラ29で撮影した画像が記憶されるので、カメラモード制御手段50により、それぞれの画像を縮小あるいは拡大したり、メモリー19からマーカースタンプ用の図形や記号を読み出して、撮影した画像に上書きするマーカースタンプをしてから合成するようにしてもよい。例えば、図8に示すようにピッチャーであるAさん30の投球している姿を縮小し、手を振った軌跡を示す曲線を上書きし、キャッチャーであるBさん31のキャッチミットの前に、ボールの絵とボールの軌跡を示す線を上書きして加工して、両者を合成するようにしてもよい。そして、左右の分割比率も変えて合成することにより、単に撮影したというだけでない編集・加工した合成画像を作ることができる。
