この発明は、幼児を背負い（おんぶ）あるいは前抱き（だっこ）して移動する際の補助具として使用されるベビーキャリア、特にキャリア本体部分が実質的に袋状に形成され、その中に幼児を収容して安全に保持しうるものとした袋形のベビーキャリアに関する。

【従来の技術】
従来、この種のおんぶ及びだっこ兼用の袋形ベビーキャリアとしては、本願出願人が先に提案した実公平４−１７０６４号公報に記載のようなものが知られており、一般に多く用いられている。

この先行提案の袋形ベビーキャリアは、背当て部、股当て部、前当て部を連続形成した袋状のキャリア本体の前記前当て部の上端から２本のショルダーベルトを引き出し、その先端をキャリア本体の下部に取付けた腰ベルトの適当な位置に連結しうるようになされたものである。そして、上記キャリア本体内に幼児を収容して使用者の背中側に位置させることで背負い用として、また使用者の正面側に位置させることで前抱き用として任意に転換使用しうるようになされたものである。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかしながら、従来の上記のような袋形ベビーキャリアにおいては、実用上、更に解決すべき次のような難点があることが認識されるに至った。

第１には、ショルダーベルトがキャリア本体の前当て部の上端から引き出されているため、背負い時及び前抱き時のいずれの使用時にあっても、キャリア本体内で幼児が比較的自由に大きく後方に反り返ることが可能であり、そのために、使用者にとっては、幼児との一体感が損われて不安定な抱持感を抱くことになり、必ずしも安全かつ安定した抱持感覚を持ち難い点である。

第２には、袋形ベビーキャリアが使用に適するのは、幼児の頭がすわる生後３〜４ケ月後から、歩行を始める１才程度までの期間である。１才を過ぎたような平均的成長度の幼児は、身体の運動能力もしっかりしており、かつ身体が大きくなっているため、袋状のキャリア本体内に収めるときは、かえって窮屈であり、むしろ前当て部を有しない、いわゆるオープンタイプのキャリア本体を有するキャリアの方が、その使用に適することになる。しかしながら、従来の上記のような袋形ベビーキャリアは、オープンタイプへの転換が不可能なものであるため、その実用に適する期間が短かいものとなるという難点があった。

この発明は、上記のような難点を解決することを目的とする。即ち、幼児を一層安定良く抱持することができ、使用感に優れると共に、幼児の成長に合わせて一層長い期間に亘って好適に使用可能としたベビーキャリアを提供することを目的とする。

【課題を軽決するための手段】
この発明は、上記の目的において、背当て部（２）の下端に側面視Ｕ字状をなす股当て部（３）が連続形成されたキャリア本体（１）と、
下端縁を前記股当て部（３）の前端縁に、上部両側縁を背当て部（２）の両側耳部（２ａ）（２ａ）にそれぞれ分離可能に連結された取外し自在な前当て片（４）とを有し、
左右に１対のショルダーベルト（５）（５）が、前記キャリア本体（１）の背当て部（２）から上方に引き出されており、
上記ショルダーベルト（５）（５）の先端側の帯紐部（５ａ）（５ａ）の中間位置に、第１バックル（６ａ）（６ａ）が取付位置変更自在に装着され、該第１バックル（６ａ）（６ａ）に対応してこれらと連結される第２バックル（６ｂ）（６ｂ）が前記股当て部（３）の前端部外面両側縁部に設けられると共に、
更に、前記ショルダーベルト（５）（５）の帯紐部（５ａ）（５ａ）の先端に互いに連結可能な第１及び第２バックル（７ａ）（７ｂ）が取付けられてなることを特徴とする袋形ベビーキャリアを要旨とする。

また、前当て片（４）が着脱自在なものとなされていることにより、これを取付けた状態では袋状のキャリア本体を形成して、未だ十分に成長していない幼児をも安全に、安定よく保持しうる一方、上記前当て片（４）を取外せば、キャリア本体（１）を前当て部のないオープンタイプのものとして使用することができ、たとえば１才を越えてやゝ身体の大きくなった幼児や着ぶくれにより嵩高状態になった幼児を背負ったり、前抱きするのにも、支障なく好都合に使用することができる。
