BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a position teaching method in an electronic component mounting apparatus that detects position correction data in an electronic component mounting apparatus that mounts electronic components on a substrate.
[0002]
[Prior art]
As a type of electronic component mounting apparatus, a rotary type mounting apparatus is known in which a large number of transfer heads equipped with a plurality of suction nozzles are index-rotated for continuous mounting. This rotary type has an advantage that high-speed mounting can be performed because electronic components are sequentially picked up and mounted by a large number of transfer heads. This rotary type electronic component mounting apparatus includes a plurality of transfer heads each provided with an elevating mechanism on the outer periphery of a main shaft portion that performs index rotation, and sequentially moves these revolving heads by revolving around the main shaft. It is. Each transfer head includes a plurality of suction nozzles that rotate around the rotation axis of the transfer head, and the suction nozzles are rotated to sequentially mount electronic components held by the suction nozzles on the substrate.
[0003]
As described above, the rotary electronic component mounting apparatus includes a transport mechanism that combines the revolving and rotation of the transfer head, and the electronic component is taken out from the supply unit and mounted on the substrate positioned in the positioning unit. A series of mounting operations in which the operations of many mechanism units are combined in a complicated manner are performed. In order to realize mounting with high position accuracy by this series of mounting operations, it is necessary to correct a position error caused by various factors in each mechanism unit or between the mechanism units.
[0004]
Therefore, when starting up the electronic component mounting device, the position error of each mechanism and the relative position of the recognition means that optically recognizes the electronic component relative to the mechanical origin of the optical coordinate system are detected as numerical data on the control data. Then, position teaching is performed in which these numerical data are stored in the storage unit as position correction data. In the drive control of each mechanism unit, the drive shaft of each mechanism unit is driven based on the position correction data.
[0005]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
By the way, with the reduction in the size of electronic components, higher positional accuracy is required for mounting. For example, a product having a size of about 0.6 mm has already been put into practical use, and in order to pick up such a minute part by a suction nozzle, a positional shift of about 0.1 mm also adversely affects stable suction. For this reason, it is necessary to perform the above-described position teaching with high accuracy.
[0006]
However, the accuracy of the above-described position teaching depends on various factors, and the position correction data obtained by the position teaching does not always ensure the mounting position accuracy of the electronic component, and is in the order of several tens of μm. There may be variations. As described above, when a small component is to be mounted, the effect of this variation on suction defects and mounting defects cannot be ignored. However, in the position teaching of the conventional rotary electronic component mounting apparatus, there has been a problem that a method for acquiring reliable position correction data has not been established, and it is difficult to improve mounting accuracy.
[0007]
Accordingly, an object of the present invention is to provide a position teaching method in an electronic component mounting apparatus that can obtain reliable position correction data.

This position teach is an optical coordinate system that is set in the recognition means for optically recognizing position errors and correcting the position errors caused by various factors in each mechanism section of the electronic component mounting apparatus or between the mechanism sections. Furthermore, in order to improve the mounting position accuracy, it is necessary to eliminate the component recognition error as much as possible in addition to eliminating the position error of each mechanism part described above. For this reason, it is necessary to calibrate the optical coordinate system of the recognition means for performing component recognition as part of position teaching. [0044]
The deformation due to the heat effect occurs not only at the recognition station S3 but also at the pickup station S1, the height detection station S2, and the mounting station S4, which cause a suction position defect and a mounting position accuracy defect, respectively. The influence on the accuracy is particularly noticeable in the recognition station S3 in which both the
[0045]
Therefore, in order to eliminate the error of the position correction amount due to such thermal deformation, in this embodiment, the position teach for obtaining the position correction data is related to the temperature condition at the time of teach execution as described below. Using the method described above. Hereinafter, a description will be given with reference to FIG. FIG. 8 shows a temporal change in the representative point temperature after the electronic component mounting apparatus is activated. The representative point temperature is selected from the first, second and third temperature detection points described above. .
[0046]
Before starting position teaching, start up operation first. This start-up operation is performed in order to raise the temperature of the part that generates heat to a predetermined temperature in advance. The
[0047]
In the case of simple on / off control, the teach temperature is set to an approximate average temperature of temperature fluctuations as shown in FIG. 8A, and in the case where an accurate temperature control target temperature can be set, FIG. The target temperature is set as shown in b). Then, when the start-up operation time has elapsed and the detected temperature at the representative temperature detection point reaches the predetermined set temperature T from the ambient temperature T0, that is, the temperature range set based on the teach temperature, the teach operation is started. To do. The determination of the elapse of the start-up operation time is performed as follows, for example. That is, the variation in the detected temperature is monitored by the CPU 40, and in the example shown in FIG. 8A, the average temperature in this cycle is obtained after one cycle of the temperature variation, and the obtained average temperature is the set temperature. 8B, it is regarded that the start-up is completed at the time point t1 that is confirmed to be within the temperature range set based on T, and in the example shown in FIG. 8B, the detected temperature once exceeds the set temperature T and overshoots. After that, it is considered that the start-up is completed at time t2 when the temperature returns to the set temperature T again.
[0048]
The above-described position teaching is performed after timings t1 and t2. That is, the
[0049]
The position correction data obtained in this way is obtained under temperature conditions that are substantially equal to the temperature in the actual operating state of each mechanism of the electronic component mounting apparatus. Therefore, the temperature condition for obtaining the position correction data is always close to the operating temperature, and no position correction error due to temperature fluctuation occurs.
[0050]
In this embodiment, an example is shown in which the teach temperature is set in advance and the teach is started when the representative point temperature reaches the temperature range based on the teach temperature. However, the position correction data storage unit 42 stores the teach temperature. A plurality of position correction data may be stored in association with a plurality of different representative point temperature values. FIG. 9 shows an input example of a plurality of position correction data input in this way. Here, each position correction data corresponds to a temperature condition constituted by each temperature of the first temperature detection point, the second temperature detection point, and the third temperature detection point, and is input according to these temperature conditions. The correction data to be different will be different.
[0051]
Then, based on the detected temperature at each temperature detection point detected by the temperature detector 45 prior to the start of the mounting operation, the CPU 40 is automatically made to select appropriate position correction data. This makes it possible to perform highly accurate position correction using appropriate position correction data without performing position teaching each time. Further, it may be confirmed that the temperature detected by the temperature detection unit 45 has reached the temperature condition of the already acquired position correction data, and then the mounting operation is started.
[0052]
Further, preferably, the teaching temperature and the actual operating temperature are set based on the environmental temperature, that is, the ambient temperature is detected by the temperature detecting unit 45 before the electronic component mounting apparatus is started, and the oil temperature is adjusted. If the temperature adjustment target temperature of the

【The invention's effect】
According to the present invention, since the representative point temperature of the mechanism unit is detected by the temperature detecting means, and the position correction data of each mechanism unit is obtained in a state where the detected temperature is within a predetermined temperature range set in advance, It is possible to improve the reliability of the position correction data by eliminating the variation of the misalignment state caused by the thermal deformation of the mechanism unit, and to perform stable mounting without the position correction error due to the thermal effect.
