本発明は、金属枠材の屋内側に樹脂、木材などの断熱性を有する被覆材を取り付けた断熱サッシの断熱サッシ枠及び断熱障子枠(以下両枠を「断熱枠」という)に関するものである。

【従来の技術】
従来から例えば特開平10−317831号や特開平11−107631号の断熱枠が知られている。しかしながら、これらは断熱性を有する被覆材を各々金属枠材に対しネジ止めやカシメにより予め固定してから枠組みする構造のため組立作業性が悪く、そしてリサイクルのときに金属枠材と被覆材とを分離する作業が困難であった。また、これらは冬期に屋内と屋外の温度差が著しく大きくなりかつ例えば被覆材が薄肉である場合に、内周側に組み込むパネルを取り付けるパネル取り付け溝の屋外側面を構成する金属枠材の側壁からパネル取り付け溝内に外気熱が伝わり、さらにその熱がパネル取り付け溝の屋内側壁を構成する被覆材の側壁に伝わり被覆材が断熱性能を発揮できないほど過度に冷やされることになり、被覆材の屋内側面に結露を発生させる問題があった。
