Description
【0001】

CMF=0 ・・・ 仮名文字(仮名テーブルKANATを使用)
CMF=1 ・・・ 英字(英字テーブルALPHTを使用)
CMF=2 ・・・ 数字(数字テーブルNUMTを使用)
である。
【0030】

[Industrial application fields]
The present invention relates to a character input device.
[0002]
[Prior art]
If you have an electronic phone book or auto dialer, you can easily know the phone number by simply entering the name of the target person by registering the name and phone number of the other party in advance. Or even dial operations can be performed automatically.
[0003]
However, when registering a name and a telephone number in an electronic phone book or an auto dialer, even if the name is written in kana, it is necessary to select and input the name one by one from 50 or more kana characters.
[0004]
So, as a way to input kana characters,
1. One key is assigned to one kana character.
2. Assign one key to one letter (alphabet) and enter the kana character in romaji.
3. One key is assigned to each line of the 50-note table (50-sound chart), and the character in the corresponding line is selected by the number of times the key is pressed. For example, when the “A” key is pressed five times, “O” is selected.
4. By pressing the consonant key, the rows in the 50-sound table are selected in order, and by pressing the vowel key, the steps in the 50-sound table are selected in sequence, and as a result, the target character is selected. .
Such a method is considered.

Also, since the number of keys increases, it is necessary to repeat the operation of searching for the corresponding key, then determining the character to be input with that key, and confirming the character on the display when inputting characters. The operability is not good.
[0008]
In that respect, the method in
[0009]
Further, in any method, it is necessary to consider a method of inputting a number as a telephone number and various symbols.
[0010]
The present invention is intended to solve the above problems.
[0011]
In this invention,
When the basic characters are arranged in a matrix,
A first display area having a display portion for one row of the matrix;
A second display area;
A predetermined operation unit capable of specifying the position in the row direction and the column direction of the matrix and confirming the specified character;
Have
In the first display area, a character for one line of the matrix is displayed and a cursor for identifying the selected character is displayed.
When the operation unit is operated by the first operation, the cursor is moved in the line direction by one character with respect to the characters displayed in the first display area,
When the operation unit is operated by the second operation, the display of the character displayed in the first display area is moved by one line in the column direction at least for the character column indicated by the cursor. With
When the cursor can be moved by the first operation and the second operation, the fact is displayed in the second display area,
When the operation unit is operated by a third operation, the character indicated by the cursor is captured as a character to be input.

First, the table KANAT is a data table for inputting kana characters, and has kana characters and symbols that are considered necessary for inputting names and company names in a matrix. That is, the kana table KANAT has katakana characters from “a” to “n” in the form of a 50-note table. However, the character of the Ya line is only “Ya Yo Yo”, “Yu” is prepared in the dan and “Yo” is prepared in the dan. In addition, the character of the Wa line is only “Wa”, “Wa” is the A stage, “Wo” is the A stage, and “W” is in the U stage of the Wa line.
[0017]
Further, the kana table KANAT has three extended lines following the Wa line. In addition, “(blank sign)” is included in the upper row of the 11th row, which is the expanded row, and various symbols “「 ”are provided in the upper row, the sixth row, and the seventh row from the 12th row. “” In order, and from row A to row O and from
[0018]
The table ALPHT is a data table for inputting alphabetic characters, and has alphabetic characters and symbols that are necessary for inputting names and company names in a matrix. That is, the alphabet table ALPHT is composed of two groups ALPH1 and ALPH2, and the first group ALPH1 has a size of 3 rows × 13 columns, and the first row has alphabetic uppercase letters “A to M”. The second line has lower case letters “a to m”, and the third line has 13 characters “(blank sign)., '?! ~ @ []“ ”&”. The second group ALPH2 has a size of 2 rows × 13 columns. The first row has uppercase letters “NZ” and the second row has lowercase letters “nz”. .
[0019]
Furthermore, the table NUMT is a data table for inputting numbers, and has numbers and symbols that are considered necessary for inputting telephone numbers in a matrix. In other words, the number table NUMT has a size of 4 rows × 13 columns, the first row has the numbers “0 to 9” and the symbol “− ()”, and the second row to the fourth row. , Has 13 symbols / characters per line. The symbols and characters in the second to fourth lines are mainly used when the electronic telephone book is used as a memo pad or a computer.
[0020]
In the following description, kana characters, alphabetic characters, and numbers include symbols included in the kana table KANAT, the alphabet table ALPHT, and the numeric table NUMT. In addition, in the case where “letter” is simply described, kana characters, alphabetic characters, numerals, and symbols thereof are representative.
