Description

【0001】

[Industrial application fields]
The present invention relates to a golf ball coating method using a dot matrix method.
[0002]
[Prior art and problems to be solved by the invention]
Conventionally, when a golf ball is painted, a spray coating method and an electrostatic coating method are often employed. However, when a golf ball is applied by spray coating, since the golf ball is a sphere, the coating efficiency of the paint is about 10 to 15%, and the coating efficiency is low. In addition, in order to make the coating film uniform when painting, a method was adopted in which the golf ball itself was rotated while the spray gun was swung to paint or the spray gun was fixed in multiple directions. However, even if this method is adopted, uneven coating of the golf ball is likely to occur, and in particular, uneven coating occurs in the outer peripheral edge of the dimple or in the dimple. Although unevenness has been eliminated as much as possible, such adjustments are very troublesome, and such adjustments depend on the intuition and experience of the workers. In addition, when painting a golf ball, the golf ball is supported with a large number of needles, painted and dried, so needle marks remain after painting or stamping such as printing before painting the golf ball. When the stamp position is set as the needle position, bleeding may occur. Moreover, after the painting, it was troublesome to clean the needle and the booth to which the paint adhered. On the other hand, when electrostatic coating is employed, the coating efficiency is better than that of spray coating, but otherwise there are the same problems as the spray coating method.
[0003]
The present invention has been made in view of the above circumstances, and provides a golf ball coating method that eliminates the above-described drawbacks, that is, poor coating efficiency, poor coating appearance, poor appearance due to needle marks, and the troublesomeness of cleaning needles and booths. The purpose is to provide.
[0004]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to achieve the above object, the present invention continuously jets paint as droplet particles from a thin nozzle toward the golf ball surface to form a coating film of the paint in a dot matrix form on the golf ball surface. A golf ball coating method, wherein the paint is a UV curable type or electron beam curable type paint, and the paint film is formed according to the shape of the own name stamped on the golf ball surface. There is provided a golf ball coating method characterized by being formed as a film and blurring a boundary portion by gradually depositing the droplet particles as the owned name protective film is separated from the owned name .
[0005]
In this case, it is preferable to electrically continuously control the flight direction of the droplet particles of the paint to adhere the particles to a predetermined position on the surface of the golf ball to form a coating film. A method of coating each and sequentially forming a coating film on the entire surface of the golf ball is effectively employed.
[0006]
[Action]
The coating method of the present invention is particularly preferably the same as the known ink jet recording method, in which the fine particles of the paint injected from the nozzle are applied by the dot matrix method, preferably electrostatically accelerated and deflected. .
[0007]
Therefore, since the coating is performed by such a dot matrix method, a large number of dimples are formed, and the uneven coating of the golf ball having a complicated surface shape having a large number of hemispherical concave portions rather than a simple spherical state is made as much as possible. Even if the outer peripheral edge of the dimple is too thick or conversely too thin, or the coating thickness does not vary from the bottom of the dimple, a uniform coating can be formed evenly and uniformly in the dimple. It is possible. In addition, as described above, a method of forming a coating film by dividing the golf ball surface into a plurality of times for each part can be effectively employed. Thus, a coating film is formed by dividing into a plurality of times for each part. However, there is no inconvenience that the boundary portions between these portions are painted redundantly, and there is no painting residue, and the coating is performed in a state where these boundary portions cannot be distinguished after painting. Therefore, by adopting such a partial coating method, the golf ball is not supported and painted with a thin needle, but the golf ball is supported with a wide portion using a cup, a pin, etc., and then the golf ball is coated. Since it is possible to take a method of painting a wide unpainted part that is in contact with the ball, it is possible to support the golf ball more stably during painting, and there is no need for needle marks due to painting, which is good A golf ball having a painted appearance can be obtained.
[0008]
【Example】
Embodiments of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings.
[0009]
FIG. 1 shows an example of an apparatus used in the practice of the present invention. Reference numeral 1 denotes a nozzle for continuously ejecting paint as droplet particles A in the form of dots. The nozzle 1 contains paint in a paint tank 2. Sent by pump 3. 4 is a charging electrode for charging the droplet particle A to a predetermined charge amount, and 5 is applied with a constant voltage to deflect the particle A in accordance with the charge amount of the charged droplet particle A, so that the surface of the golf ball 6 This is a deflection electrode that reaches and adheres to a predetermined position. Reference numeral 7 denotes a paint recovery plate. Droplet particles A that are not used for painting are captured by the recovery plate 7 and returned to the paint tank 2.
[0010]
This device is in principle the same as the ink jet recording method known as the charge amount control type, and the paint is applied with a pressure of about 2 to 3 kg / cm 2 at the nozzle 1, and 50 to 50 piezoelectric elements. By vibrating at a frequency of 100 kHz or higher, the paint is ejected and made into particles. In this case, the diameter of the droplet particles A is preferably 30 μm or less, and preferably 10 μm or less.
[0011]
In the present invention, the means for spraying the paint into droplet particles and the means for controlling the droplet particles are not controlled by those shown in FIG. 1, and other known methods in ink jet recording may be employed. . In FIG. 1, the electrical control device, that is, the charging electrode and the deflection electrode may be omitted depending on circumstances.
[0012]
When the surface of the golf ball 6 is coated using the apparatus shown in FIG. 1, the paint is continuously ejected from the nozzle 1 as droplet particles A in the form of dots. As a result, the particles A are charged to a predetermined charge amount by the charging electrode 4, are deflected by the deflection electrode 5, reach the predetermined position on the surface of the golf ball 6, and are attached thereto. By repeating this, as shown in FIG. 2, the coating film 8 is formed in a dot matrix form on the surface of the golf ball 6.
[0013]
In this case, in order to coat the entire surface of the golf ball 6, the nozzle 1 is scanned in an arc along the vertical direction while maintaining the same distance from the ball 6 as shown in FIG. As shown in FIG. 3, it is possible to adopt a method in which the nozzle 1 is scanned in an arc along the vertical and horizontal directions while maintaining the same distance from the ball 6 in the same manner. In this case, the number of nozzles is not limited to one, and a plurality of nozzles may be provided as shown in FIG. 4, or a nozzle unit 1a in which a plurality of nozzles are combined as shown in FIG. In this case, the nozzle unit 1a is preferably formed in a ring shape or an arc shape as illustrated. These nozzle units 1a are arranged concentrically with respect to the ball 6, but in some cases, the nozzle center and the ball center are decentered except for the equator of the ball, and the distance between the ball 6 and each nozzle is kept constant. It can also be made (FIG. 5D). Furthermore, as shown in FIG. 6, the nozzle unit 1 a can be a solid concave curved surface corresponding to the surface spherical surface of the ball 6.
[0014]
If the ability to electrostatically accelerate and deflect the particles from the nozzle is large, the nozzle 1 may be simply moved in the tangential direction of the ball 6 as shown in FIG. It is preferable to change the nozzle angle toward the ball 6 as shown. FIG. 8 shows a nozzle unit 1a to which such an example is applied.
[0015]
Here, in the painting method according to the present invention, the particles A adhere to the surface of the golf ball 6 precisely, the coating location can be precisely defined, and the boundary between the painted portion and the non-painted portion becomes clear. It is possible to paint every predetermined part by dividing it into multiple times, so that the entire surface of the golf ball 6 can be painted, and even if coating is done for each part in this way, the boundary area of the coating film does not overlap and is good A smooth coating is formed. FIGS. 9 and 10 show an example of such a coating method. FIG. 9 shows one side half 6b of the golf ball 6 supported by the cup 9 and the other half half 6b painted, and then the painted one half. One side half 6a is supported by a cup and then the other half half 6b is painted. Even if it is coated in this way, the coating layer is layered on the boundary portion 10 of these one side halves. Defects such as unevenness and unpainted portions do not occur, the coating film smoothly continues at the boundary portion 10, and the coating is performed in a state where the boundary portion 10 cannot be distinguished after painting. In FIG. 10, the golf ball 6 is not supported by a needle, but is supported by a relatively large-diameter pin 11, and after coating a portion other than the tip contact surface 12 of the pin 11, this tip contact surface 11. In this case as well, after the painting, the boundary portion 10 is painted in a state where it cannot be distinguished.
[0016]
Further, in the present invention, the protective coating after the own name stamping can be effectively employed. In this case, painting can be performed according to the stamp shape of the own name, and in this case, for example, a blurring method in which droplet particles adhere to the own name protective film portion gradually and gradually from the own name portion can be adopted, thereby Usually, the boundary with the ball coating portion can be blurred, so that a good coating appearance can be obtained.
[0017]
In the present invention, the type of nozzle, the method of moving the nozzle, the method of moving the ball, the method of supporting the ball, the coating mode, etc. are not limited to the above examples, and can be variously changed. Overcoating may be performed. When overcoating is performed, the overcoating can be performed before or after the coating film is dried.
[0018]
In addition, the paint may be any paint used for golf ball painting such as polyurethane paint, and drying after painting can adopt an appropriate drying method according to the paint, but drying by UV curing, electron beam, etc. For example, a method of quick drying is suitable.
[0019]
According to the coating method described above, the following features are obtained.
(1) The coating efficiency is much better than spraying or electrostatic coating, and waste of paint is eliminated.
(2) There is no uneven coating, and the film thickness can be easily adjusted. Therefore, quality such as flying performance of the golf ball is improved.
(3) If the coating is divided into several times, a golf ball having a good appearance free from burrs and stamps can be obtained.
(4) No need for booths or needle cleaning, reducing man-hours.
(5) The working environment is improved.
(6) Since it can be painted with high positional accuracy, it can be used for protective coating of the stamp of the own name. In this case, an owned name mark having a good appearance can be obtained by blurring the dots on the boundary of the coating.
(7) Equipment is simplified.
(8) It is not necessary for the person to frequently adjust the coating.
(9) There is no waste of manufactured products due to adjustment at the start-up of the coating machine.
(10) Experience and intuition are no longer required for painting.
[0020]
【The invention's effect】
According to the present invention, coating unevenness can be reduced, and a coating film having a good appearance without needle marks and the like can be formed on the golf ball. It is easy to obtain a good coating film with good reproducibility without relying on experience or the like.
