従来のこの種の給餌装置を図4により説明する。51は餌を収容するホッパー、52は回転羽根、53は回転羽根52を回転させるギヤモータ、54は排出口、55は排出経路、56は排出経路55に送風する送風機である。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
ところで前記した給餌装置は、運転停止動作と同時に回転羽根52が停止するようになっている。従って、多くの場合は排出口54が開いており、振動等があるとホッパー51内の餌が排出経路55に容易に崩れ落ちることとなる。餌は一般に湿気を吸収し易いものが多い。そのため崩れ落ちた餌は湿気て図5のように排出経路55にへばり付き、これが餌の吹き飛びを阻害して給餌に支障をもたらす。さらに、排出経路55内に餌が残っていると、害虫、小動物が侵入する原因になるといった不具合もある。
この発明は係る課題を解決することを目的になされたものである。

【課題を解決するための手段】
上記目的を達成するために本発明の給餌装置は、餌を収容するホッパーと、ホッパーの底面に設けられた回転羽根と、回転羽根を回転させるギヤモータと、餌をホッパー外に排出させるための排出口と、排出口から排出された餌が流入する排出経路と、排出経路に送風する送風機と、前記回転羽根に蓋部を設けると共に、蓋部が排出口を閉塞する位置にあることを検出する位置検出手段、該位置検出手段の検出結果に基づいてギヤモータを停止させる停止手段を備え、送風機はギヤモータの駆動前に始動するとともに停止手段がギヤモータを停止させた後しばらくしてから停止する構成からなる。

【作用】
この構成によれば、蓋部が排出口を閉塞する位置にあることを位置検出手段が検出してギヤモータを停止させるので、運転停止時は排出口が閉塞状態にあり、排出経路に餌が崩れ落ちることを防止でき、また、送風機はギヤモータが停止してからしばらくは駆動し続けるので、排出経路の餌が完全に排出されてから運転停止となる

以下、本発明の一実施例を図面により説明する。図1、図2において、1は給餌装置の筐体、2は養殖魚等に与える粒状、ペレット状等の餌を収容するホッパー、3はホッパー2の底面に設けられた排出口、4は回転羽根である。回転羽根4には、ここでは排出口3を閉塞させるための、図3の分解図で示すようなリボン形の蓋部5を設けてある。蓋部5はここではリボン形であるが、この形状に限定するものではない。蓋部5の一端には、マグネット6が配設され、ホッパー2の底面にマグネット6によってON・OFFする位置検出手段としてのリードスイッチ7を設けてある。

8は回転羽根4を回転させるギヤモータ、9は排出経路で、該排出経路9は鉛直通路10を介して排出口3と連通している。排出経路9の一端には送風機11が配設され、他端の吐出口12は筐体1外に若干突出し開口している。13は電装部品の動作を制御する制御部で、ここには運転を停止する際にリードスイッチ7がONしたときにギヤモータ8への給電を停止させる停止手段14等、各種の手段が備えられている。なお、停止手段14等は、実際にはマイクロコンピュータに構成される。

次に上記した構成における動作を説明する。ホッパー2に餌が収容されており、この状態で図示しない運転スイッチを操作する、若しくは設定されたタイマ時刻になると、運転開始となり送風機11が始動する。短時間後、送風機11の送風量が十分に上昇すると、ギヤモータ8に給電がなされて回転羽根4が回転始動する。よって、ホッパー2内の餌は少量づつ排出口3から排出経路9に落下し、風圧を受けて吹き飛ばされ、吐出口12から筐体1外に勢いよく排出される。

係る給餌が所定時間継続、若しくは停止スイッチが操作されたようなときは、運転停止動作が実行される。運転停止動作については、回転羽根4と一緒に回転する蓋部5のマグネット6の無い側が排出口3全体を被覆した位置になると、リードスイッチ7がOFFからONに変わるので、これを検出して停止手段14がギヤモータ8への給電を止める。つまり、常に排出口3を閉塞する所定位置で回転羽根4が停止するので、これ以降、振動等を受けても、ホッパー2内の餌が排出経路9に落下することを完全に防止できる。

回転羽根4が止まった後も、送風機11は暫く駆動し続ける。これは、排出経路9内の餌を完全に排出させるためである。そうして送風機11が止まって運転停止となるが、既述した如く排出経路9に餌が崩れ落ちてくることがないので、餌が湿気て次回の給餌時に支障が生じるといったことが有効に防止される。

【発明の効果】
以上に説明したとおり本発明の給餌装置は、ギヤモータが回転させる回転羽根に蓋部を設けると共に、蓋部が排出口を閉塞する位置にあることを検出する位置検出手段を配設し、該位置検出手段の検出結果に基づいてギヤモータを停止させる停止手段を備え、さらにギヤモータが停止した後もしばらくは送風機を回転させるようにしている。そのため、機器は蓋部が排出口を閉塞した状態で運転を停止し、排出口から排出経路に餌が崩れ落ちることが防止できるとともに、排出経路に残った餌を全て装置外に排出させた後運転が停止されるので、餌が湿気たり、害虫や小動物が侵入するといったことがなく、長期に亘って正常な給餌が行えるといった優れた効果を奏する。
