Description

【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a method for attaching a case to an insulating body, or connecting general synthetic resin products / parts to each other in, for example, a connector for connecting a personal computer, a mobile computer or the like to an information terminal device such as a small mobile phone device. -It relates to the attachment method to be combined.
[0002]
[Prior art]
2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, in a connection connector for electrically connecting a connector of a mobile computer (for example, a pocket board) or the like and a connector of an information terminal device such as a small mobile phone device, an insulating body that supports the contact and a contact case that covers the insulating body As the attachment structure, there are known, for example, a screwing method using bolts and nuts, a welding method in which a protrusion is provided and melted and fixed, and an ultrasonic welding method.
[0003]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, the screwing method increases the number of parts and takes time and labor, and the welding method has problems such as increased equipment costs and reduced work efficiency. In particular, in recent years, the tendency of devices to become thinner and smaller has become stronger, the connector case has been made thinner, and the case and the insulating body can be securely connected so that the connector case will not open, and There is a demand for a simple integration method. The connector case attaching method according to the present invention is proposed to solve such a problem.
[0004]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The gist for solving the above-mentioned problem of the connector case attachment method according to the present invention is a method of attaching a connector case to an insulating body, and a recess provided in one of the connector case and the insulation body; , there is a locking flange bored with pores which are smaller than the opening of the protruding the concave portion toward the recess axis, the projection of the locking protruding from the other at the periphery of the recess, A protrusion that is inserted into the hole of the locking flange, is inserted into the recess, and is pressed to collapse the protrusion, and is crushed by the locking flange and bulges to the periphery. The connector case is integrally attached to the insulating body by locking a part of the insulating body.
[0005]
Both the recess and the locking projection are made of synthetic resin, and the locking projection is made softer than the recess and has different hardness .
[0006]
According to the connector case attaching method of the present invention, for example, the locking projections are expanded and crushed by the pressing force, and the crushed part is engaged with the locking flange. Therefore, the connector case cannot be separated from the insulating main body and is integrated.
[0007]
Since the connector is provided with a metal shell for electrical shielding of the contact connecting portion, a hole smaller than the size of the opening of the concave portion of the insulating main body is drilled in this shell for locking. Of the flange. For example, since the shell is fixed to the insulating main body, the insulating main body and the connector case can be integrated by engaging with a flange formed by a hole provided in the shell.
[0008]
Also, since the recess is made of synthetic resin and the projection for locking, the projection is softened more than the other recess, and is surely crushed by the pressing force and bulges and expands to be locked to the flange. It can be done.
[0009]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Next, a method for attaching the connector case according to the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. The first embodiment of the present invention is an embodiment of a connection connector for electrically connecting a connector of a mobile computer or the like and a connector of an information terminal device such as a small mobile phone device, and an insulating main body of a contact connection portion of the connector A part of the connector case is shown in FIGS.
[0010]
There are a thin synthetic resin connector case 1 and 1 for exterior use, and a synthetic resin insulating body 2 (also called a connector main body) 2 sandwiched between the two connector cases 1 and 1. Metal shells 3 and 4 are fixed to both sides.
[0011]
The connector case 1 is provided with a cylindrical locking projection 1a on one side. The insulating body 2 is provided with a locking recess 2a. The shells 3 and 4 are also provided with holes 3a and 4a.
[0012]
The locking projection 1a, the holes 3a, 4a, and the recess 2a have a circular shape, a polygonal shape, a rectangular shape, etc., and the locking projection 1a and the hole or the recess have substantially the same shape. It is a shape that can be fitted.
For example, if the locking projection 1a has a circular shape, the diameter thereof is substantially the same as the diameter of the holes 3a and 4a, and the diameter of the holes 3a and 4a is larger than the diameter of the recess 2a. It is also small.
[0013]
In this case, since the holes 3a and 4a of the shells 3 and 4 are smaller than the diameter of the recess 2a at the peripheral corners of the recess 2a, the recesses toward the recess axis 2b in the holes 3a and 4a of the shells 3 and 4 are formed. Portions protruding from the peripheral corners are locking flanges 3b and 4b.
[0014]
As shown in FIG. 1, the connector case 1 and the insulating body 2 formed in this way are integrated by inserting the locking projection 1 a of the connector case 1 into the holes 3 a and 4 a of the shell 3 or the shell 4. The insulating body 2 is fitted into the recess 2a.
[0015]
Then, a pressing force is applied to the connector case 1. Thereby, as shown in FIG. 2, since the hardness of the locking projection 1a is softer than the hardness of the insulating body 2, the locking projection 1a is crushed. Then, the collapsed portion of the locking projection 1a spreads around and is locked to the locking flanges 3b and 4b.
[0016]
As a result, the locking projection 1a is caught by the locking flanges 3b and 4b and cannot be pulled out from the recess 2a, so that the attachment strength is improved. Thus, the connector case 1 and the insulating body 2 are reliably integrated.
[0017]
In the second embodiment of the present invention, the relationship between the locking projection and the recess is reversed to that of the first embodiment. Although not particularly shown, for example, the connector case 1 is provided with a recess, and the shell 3 and 4 are also fixed to the connector case 1 side.
[0018]
On the other hand, the insulating body 2 is provided with a locking projection at a portion corresponding to the recess. In this way, as in the first embodiment, a pressing force is applied to collapse the locking projections and integrate them.
[0019]
As described above, in the first embodiment and the second embodiment, the insulating body is easily and reliably integrated in one step of pressing the connector case 1. In the present invention, an example of use in an electrical connector is shown. However, the present invention is not limited to these technical fields, and can be applied to integration or connection / bonding of general synthetic resin parts.
[0020]
【The invention's effect】
As described above, the method for attaching the connector case according to the present invention is a method for attaching the connector case to the insulating body, and includes a recess provided in one of the connector case and the insulating body, and the recess. There is a locking flange bored with pores which are smaller than the opening of the protruding the concave portion toward the recess axis, the projection of the locking projecting from the other at the periphery, the locking A part of the protrusion that is crushed by the locking flange and bulges out by being inserted into the hole of the locking flange, inserted into the recess, and pressed into the recess, and crushed by the locking flange. Since the connector case is attached to the insulation body by locking the connector case, the work is not labor-intensive and the attachment strength is improved with a simple structure, which opens the connector case. Unifying without fail This is an excellent effect.
[0021]
With the projection for the recess and locking are both made of synthetic resin, said being soft is towards the projection for the locking than recesses, because the different hardness, the projections for engaging in the pressing step This has an excellent effect that the material is reliably crushed and locked to the flange.
