【発明の属する技術分野】
本発明は、顔部に装着して、目を粉塵、飛沫、風圧等から保護する防塵眼鏡に関するものである。

【従来の技術】
従来のこの種の防塵眼鏡は、目の前方を包囲する眼鏡本体と、この眼鏡本体に取り付けた伸縮自在なバンドとから構成されている場合が多い。この防塵眼鏡を装着する際には、眼鏡本体を顔部に押し付けながらバンドを伸ばして頭部に嵌めている。一般に、眼鏡本体は目の前方に間隔をおいて位置する眼鏡部、この眼鏡部の左右の側縁から後方に延びて目の側方に当接する左右の側板部、眼鏡部の上縁から後方に延びて目の上方に当接する天板部、眼鏡部の下縁から後方に延びて目の下方に当接する底板部等を有している。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかしながら従来の防塵眼鏡では、眼鏡本体を顔部に押し付けながらバンドを伸ばして頭部に嵌めるので、装着が容易ではないという問題がある。更に、防塵眼鏡は頭部保護用ヘルメットと同時に装着する場合が多く、ヘルメットより先に防塵眼鏡を装着した場合は、ヘルメット挿着時に防塵眼鏡に接触してずれたり、また防塵眼鏡を外す場合はヘルメットの耳掛け紐が邪魔になるので、ヘルメットを脱がないと防塵眼鏡を外せないことになる。逆に、ヘルメットを先に装着した場合は、頭部より大きなヘルメットを手探りでかわすように、防塵眼鏡のバンドを後頭部まで持っていって掛けなくてはならず煩わしい。

挿着後に防塵眼鏡が不要となった際は、眼鏡本体をヘルメットの前方に引っ張ってずらして、バンドの収縮力によってヘルメット前頭部付近に固定しておくことが一般的であるが、何かの拍子に眼鏡本体が滑って頂部の方にずれてしまい、邪魔であると共に危険性がある。このずれを防止するためにヘルメットに防塵眼鏡バンド固定金具を左右一対に取り付けてバンドを固定する方法も知られているが、この場合は金具がヘルメットから膨出する形態になるので、例えば建築作業中の現場の狭い通路を通過する際に、金具が引っかかってしまう虞れがあって危険であると共に、金具分のコストと重量がヘルメットに付加されてしまうことになる。

更に、通常の防塵眼鏡では、眼鏡部の左右の側板部が後方に延びているので、耳掛け部も折り畳めず、ポケット等に簡便に収納することも容易でないという問題もある。

本発明の目的は、上述の問題点を解消し、装着と収納が容易な防塵眼鏡を提供することにある。

【課題を解決するための手段】
上記目的を達成するための請求項１に係る本発明は、顔部に装着して目を保護する防塵眼鏡において、可撓性を有して目の前方を包囲する眼鏡本体と、該眼鏡本体に固定すると共に折り畳み可能な左右の耳掛け部とから成り、前記眼鏡本体の側板部と天板部に、前記耳掛け部を折り畳む際に作用する折れ代をそれぞれ設けたことを特徴とする防塵眼鏡である。

【発明の実施の形態】
本発明を図示の実施の形態に基づいて詳細に説明する。
図１は実施の形態の前方から見た斜視図、図２は後方から見た斜視図である。この実施の形態に係る防塵眼鏡は左右対称とされ、着用者の目の前方を包囲する眼鏡本体１と、この眼鏡本体１の上部を外側から支持するフレーム２とから構成されている。眼鏡本体１は合成樹脂材料から可撓性を有するように形成され、フレーム２は金属材料又は剛性を有する合成樹脂材料から製作されている。

眼鏡本体１は、目の前方に間隔をおいて位置する透明な眼鏡部１１と、この眼鏡部１１の左右の側縁から後方に延びて目の側方に柔らかく当接する左右の側板部１２と、眼鏡部１１の上縁から後方に延びて目の上方に当接する天板部１３と、眼鏡部１１の下縁から後方に延びて目の下方に柔らかく当接する底板部１４とを有している。

眼鏡部１１には例えば曇り防止用のコーティングが施され、天板部１３と底板部１４には、空気を流通させるが粉塵、飛沫等を流通させない小孔群１５がそれぞれ形成されている。そして、眼鏡本体１とフレーム２を着脱自在に連結する一方の手段として、図示しない連結用孔が例えば眼鏡部１１と側板部１２に形成されている。

フレーム２は、眼鏡本体１の眼鏡部１１を支持する棒状の前方支持部２１と、この前方支持部２１の左右の両端から後方に一体に延びて眼鏡本体１の側板部１２の前部を支持する側方支持部２２と、この側方支持部２２の後端にヒンジ部２３を介して連結された耳掛け部２４とから構成されている。眼鏡本体１の前方支持部２１と側方支持部２２には、眼鏡本体１とフレーム２を連結する他方の手段としての連結部２５が、眼鏡部１１と側板部１２に形成した連結用孔にそれぞれ係止し得るように設けられている。なお、耳掛け部２４はヒンジ部２３に連結された筒部２４ａと、筒部２４ａに嵌合された耳掛け部本体２４ｂとから構成され、耳掛け部本体２４ｂは前後方向に伸縮自在かつ位置保持自在とされている。

ここで、眼鏡本体１の側板部１２と天板部１３には、例えば連続溝状の折れ代３１、３２が、フレーム２のヒンジ部２３の近傍を通るようにそれぞれ形成されている。また、眼鏡本体１の側板部１２の後部とフレーム２の筒部２４ａとは、側板部１２に一体で筒部２４ａを緩く包む連結部３３により連結されている。

このような防塵眼鏡をポケット等に収納する際には、図３の平面図に示すように耳掛け部２４の耳掛け部本体２４ｂを筒部２４ａに押し込み、耳掛け部２４を最小の長さとして内方へ折り畳む。これにより、側板部１２の折れ代３１の後方の部分１２ａが、側板部１２が持つ或る程度の弾発力に抗して耳掛け部２４に押されて内方に折れ曲がると共に、天板部１３の折れ代３２の後方の部分１３ａが上方に折れ曲がる。この際に、側板部１２と一体の連結部３３は耳掛け部２４を緩く包んでいるので、側板部１２は耳掛け部２４に対して摺動しながら容易に折れ曲がる。

一方、防塵眼鏡を着用する際に耳掛け部２４を開くと、耳掛け部２４は連結部３３を介して側板部１２の折れ代３１の後方の部分１２ａを従動させ、側板部１２を平面状に復元させる。この際にも、側板部１２は弾発性により耳掛け部２４に対して摺動しながら容易に復元する。

仮に、長時間折り畳まれた状態で放置されていても、耳掛け部２４を緩く包む連結部３３を介して側板部１２は、耳掛け部２４を開くときに連結部３３が摺動しながら平面状に復元される。そして、耳掛け部２４の長さを調節して耳掛け部２４を耳に掛けると、眼鏡本体１の後縁が目の周りに密着し、着用者の目を風圧、粉塵、飛沫等から保護する。

【発明の効果】
以上説明したように請求項１に係る防塵眼鏡は、可撓性を有して目の前方を包囲する眼鏡本体と、折り畳み可能な左右の耳掛け部を有して眼鏡本体を支持するフレームとから構成したので、耳掛け部を耳に掛けるだけで容易に装着できる。また、眼鏡本体の側板部と天板部に折れ代を設けたことにより、側板部の折れ代の後方の部分が折れ易くなり、耳掛け部を容易に折り畳むことができ、ポケット等に容易に収納できる。

請求項２に係る防塵眼鏡は、側板部の折れ代の後方の部分を耳掛け部に連結したので、耳掛け部を開いた際に側板部を元の状態に確実に戻すことができる。
