[Industrial application fields]
The present invention relates to a high pressure discharge lamp lighting device, a high pressure discharge lamp device, and an illumination device that can easily restart a high pressure discharge lamp.
[0002]
[Prior art]
A circuit shown in FIG. 12 is known as a high pressure discharge lamp lighting device in which the high pressure discharge lamp can be easily restarted. This has a high
[0003]
In this prior art, when the high-pressure discharge lamp 121 is restarted, a glow discharge is generated in the high-pressure discharge lamp 121 by the first pulse voltage, and the arc discharge is further transferred by the second pulse voltage. This ensures that restart of the system is performed.
[0004]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
The above prior art is characterized in that the high-pressure discharge lamp can be restarted instantaneously and reliably by the first and second pulse voltages, and the pulse transformer can be small.
[0005]
However, it is necessary to arrange the first and second transformers at adjacent positions as the high-
[0006]
The present invention provides a first high voltage generating means for generating a first pulse voltage having a relatively low peak value but a large time width, and a second pulse voltage having a relatively high peak value but a small time width. An object of the present invention is to provide a high-pressure discharge lamp lighting device, a high-pressure discharge lamp device, and an illumination device that can be disposed separately from the second high voltage generating means.

[0014]
[Action]
According to the first aspect of the present invention, when the power is turned on, the first high voltage generating means starts operating to generate a first pulse voltage in a predetermined phase and apply it to the high pressure discharge lamp. The first pulse voltage is a pulse having a relatively low peak value but a large time width. On the other hand, the first pulse voltage is differentiated by the differentiating means of the second high voltage generating means. Then, in synchronization with the differential output, the second high voltage generating means starts a pulse generating operation, generates a second pulse voltage delayed by a predetermined phase with respect to the first pulse voltage, and applies it to the high pressure discharge lamp. Is done. The second pulse voltage has a higher peak value than the first pulse voltage, but has a smaller time width. Thus, since the discharge space of the high-pressure discharge lamp is broken down by the second pulse voltage to generate glow discharge, and then sufficient energy is supplied by applying the first pulse voltage, arc discharge from glow discharge is caused. And start or restart is ensured. Further, since the second high voltage generating means is disposed in the vicinity of the high pressure discharge lamp, the transmission distance of the second pulse voltage is short. Since the second pulse voltage contains more high-order high-frequency components than the first pulse voltage, it is easy to attenuate in transmission, but the attenuation is small because the distance is short as described above.
