本発明は、ペニンシュラ型キッチンに関し、特に、台所の壁面から半島状に延設されるいわゆるペニンシュラ型キッチンに関する。

【従来の技術】
従来のペニンシュラ型キッチンは、台所の壁面から半島状に延設される概略矩形形状のカウンターを備えており、このカウンターには、壁面寄りにレンジが設置され、先端部分における一方の側縁寄りにシンクが設置されている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
上述した従来のペニンシュラ型キッチンにおいては、シンクが一方の側縁寄りに設置されているため、このシンクが他方の側縁から遠く、カウンターの両側から複数の人で調理作業を行う場合、使い勝手が良くないものであった。
本発明は、上記課題にかんがみてなされたもので、カウンターの両側から複数の人が調理作業を行う際に使い勝手が良いペニンシュラ型キッチンの提供を目的とする。

【課題を解決するための手段】
上記目的を達成するためには、台所の壁面から半島状に延設されるペニンシュラ型キッチンであって、上記壁面寄り部位から先端側に向けて幅広となり、この幅広部分から先端部分に向けて幅狭となるカウンターと、上記カウンターの先端部分に設置されるシンクとを備える構成としてもよい。
すなわち、台所の壁面から半島状に延設されるカウンターは、壁面付近が幅狭に形成され、壁面寄り部位から先端側に向けて幅広として中程に幅広部分を形成している。また、この幅広部分から先端部分に向けて幅狭に形成されており、同先端部分には、シンクが設置されている。

また、上記カウンターにおける作業性を向上させるために付加構成を設けることも可能である。その一例として、上記カウンターは、一方の側縁にて上記先端部分と上記幅広部分との間で凸円弧形状に形成される第一の凸円弧部と、他方の側縁にて上記壁面寄り部位と上記先端部分との間で凸円弧形状に形成される第二の凸円弧部とを備える構成としてもよい。

ここで、上記の各特長を踏まえた具体的構成として、請求項１の発明は、台所の壁面から半島状に延設されるペニンシュラ型キッチンであって、上記壁面から全体長の概ね三分の二まで上記壁面に直交する方向へ直線的に形成されると共にこの部位から先端部分まで凸円弧状に形成された一方の側縁と、上記壁面から全体長の概ね三分の一まで上記壁面に直交する方向へ直線的に形成されると共にこの部位から先端部分まで凸円弧状に形成された他方の側縁とを備え、上記壁面から全体長の概ね三分の一まで均等な幅を有し、この位置から全体長の概ね三分の二まで徐々に幅広となり、この位置から先端部分に向けて徐々に幅狭となるカウンターと、上記カウンターの先端部分であって一方の側縁における凸円弧形状部位に沿って設置される第一のシンクと、上記カウンターの中程の部位であって他方の側縁における凸円弧形状部位の壁面よりに沿って設置される第二のシンクとを備える構成としてある。
また、請求項２の発明は、請求項１に記載のペニンシュラ型キッチンにおいて、上記第一のシンクと第二のシンクとを、カウンターの延設方向および幅方向のいずれにおいても重ならないように設置した構成としてある。
さらに、上記カウンターに付加機能を設けた際の構成例として、上記カウンターの壁面付近には、加熱調理器が設置される構成としてもよい。この場合の具体例として、請求項３の発明は、請求項１または請求項２に記載のペニンシュラ型キッチンにおいて、上記カウンターの均等な幅を有する部位には、加熱調理器が設置される構成としてある。
すなわち、上述したように、幅狭に形成された壁面付近に加熱調理器が設置されるため、いずれの側縁からであっても加熱調理器の取り扱いが容易となる。

（１）ペニンシュラ型キッチンの概略説明：
図１は、本実施形態にかかるペニンシュラ型キッチンの設置状況を斜視図により示している。
同図において、カウンター１０は、台所の壁面２０から半島状に延設されており、開き戸や引き出しなどの収納スペースを有するキャビネット３０上に設けられている。また、カウンター１０の上方には、換気フード４０が別途取り付けられている。
