Description

【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a saddle water faucet replacement tool for replacing a saddle water faucet attached to a water main without breaking the water main.
[0002]
[Prior art]
A number of so-called saddle water faucets are attached to the water mains in a straddled state, and the water pipes are branched from the saddle water faucets to homes and offices. Conventionally, lead pipes have been used for water supply pipes, but in recent years there has been a risk that components harmful to the body may be dissolved into tap water from the lead pipes, so it has been necessary to replace them all with resin pipes. . Along with this, construction to replace the old saddle faucet with a new one at the same time is going to be carried out on a large scale in various places.
[0003]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
Replacing the saddle faucet requires the water main to be cut off, which would cause a great deal of inconvenience to a wide range of people. In order to avoid this, an object of the present invention is to provide a saddle water faucet replacement tool that can easily replace the saddle water faucet without shutting off the water main.
[0004]
[Means for achieving the object]
In order to achieve the above object, a saddle water faucet replacement tool according to the first aspect of the present invention is inserted into a guide tube attached to a lid mounting screw portion of a saddle water faucet in a state where water leakage is prevented. The lower end of the spindle is provided with a tap corresponding to the water stop and the through hole of the water main, and the handle is detachably attached to the upper end of the spindle. The water stop is located at the base of the tap. It is formed in the shape of a brim with a diameter larger than the maximum outer diameter of the tap, and the spindle is lowered while turning the handle and cutting the female screw into the through hole of the water main pipe with the tap, and the water stop is placed on the surface of the through hole. Water is brought into close contact with the side and the spindle is raised from the through hole, and the old saddle water faucet is removed and a new saddle water faucet is installed using the spindle as a guide. Here, the water stop portion refers to a portion that is formed in a brim shape having a diameter larger than the maximum outer diameter of the tap and blocks the through hole of the water main pipe from the surface side. Moreover, the tap according to the through-hole of a water main pipe means the tap which can cut a female screw in a through-hole.
[0005]
The method of using this tool will be described in detail in the embodiment. Briefly described here, the spindle of the tool is inserted into the through hole of the water main through the saddle faucet, and the spindle is used as a guide. The saddle water faucet is removed and attached. According to this tool, the tap at the lower end of the spindle is firmly locked by cutting a female screw in the through hole of the water main, and the water stop is completely closed by closely contacting the water stop with the surface side of the through hole. No need to shut off the water main when replacing the saddle faucet.
[0006]
Since the size of the through hole of the water main is not constant, when the tap is fixed to the spindle by welding or the like, it is necessary to prepare a plurality of spindles attached with taps having different nominal diameters. The invention described in claim 2 is characterized in that the tap is replaceably attached to the spindle. According to the present invention, by replacing the tap, it is possible to cope with the difference in size of the through hole with one spindle.
[0007]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. FIG. 1 shows the overall configuration and usage of a saddle water faucet replacement tool according to the present invention. This tool is provided with a tap 7 at the lower end portion of the round bar-shaped spindle 4 and a handle 9 at the upper end portion of the spindle 4 in a detachable manner.
[0008]
As is well known, a water channel 10 communicating with the top and bottom and a water supply channel 11 branched laterally therefrom are formed inside the saddle faucet 1, and a spherical shape is formed at the intersection of the T-shaped water channel. The valve body 12 is rotated by operating a valve operating portion 13 that protrudes from the valve body 12 to the opposite side of the water supply passage 11 to flow or shut off water in the water supply passage 11. it can. The water channel 10 that communicates with the upper and lower sides is normally closed by a lid, but when a through hole 6 that leads water from the water main 5 to the saddle diversion line 1 is opened, a core for rust prevention is provided in the through hole 6. When installing the drill, the lid is removed and the drill or core insertion rod is inserted. Also in the tool according to the present invention, the spindle 4 is inserted into the upper and lower water passages 10 of the saddle water faucet 1, the tap 7 at the tip of the spindle is screwed into the through hole 6 of the water main, and the water is stopped. The stopper 1 is replaced.
[0009]
FIG. 2 shows an enlarged view of the tip of the spindle 4. The spindle 4 is hollow, and a shank portion 15 of a commercially available tap 7 is cut halfway, the shank portion 15 is inserted into a hole at the tip of the spindle, and the spindle 4 and the tap 7 are integrated by welding. . The tap 7 may be a pipe taper tap or a straight tap (metric coarse screw or the like). In this embodiment, since the welded meat 16 forms the water-stopping portion 8, the surface thereof is not so uneven. The tap 7 has a vertical groove 17 for discharging chips, and in order to prevent water leakage from the tap 7, the vertical groove 17 is filled by welding about 5 mm from the base of the tap. Since there are variations in the size of the through hole 6 of the water main, a plurality of spindles 4 to which taps 7 having different nominal diameters are attached are prepared, and one of them is appropriately selected and used.
[0010]
FIG. 3 shows one form in which the tap 7 is attached to the tip of the spindle 4 in a replaceable manner. Here, the shank portion 15 of the tap 7 is inserted into the hole at the tip of the spindle 4 and fixed by penetrating the pin 18 sideways. In order to attach the taps 7 having different nominal diameters, a bush 19 may be used as shown in FIG. Moreover, in order to make water stop more reliable, the rubber packing 20 may be provided in close contact with the end surface of the spindle 4.
[0011]
The handle 9 may be in a state where it can be detachably attached to the spindle 4 without rotating freely. In the example of FIG. 1, a groove 21 is formed on the upper end surface of the spindle 4, a handle 9 is fitted into the groove, and both are fixed by bolts 22.
[0012]
In the following, a procedure for replacing the saddle faucet using the tool of the present invention will be described with reference to FIG. FIG. 4 (a) shows a normal state of the saddle water faucet 1. First, as shown in FIG. 4B, the water channel is closed by the valve body 12, and the water supply pipe 23 and the upper lid 14 are removed. The guide tube 3 is attached to the screw portion 2 to which the upper lid 14 is attached. The guide cylinder 3 can be diverted from the one used when the antirust core is inserted into the through hole 6.
[0013]
Next, as shown in FIG. 4 (c), the spindle 4 is inserted into the guide cylinder 3, and is temporarily held in a state where the tap 7 is directly above the valve body 12. The water supply channel 11 is closed with a lid 24. Next, as shown in FIG. 4D, the valve body 12 is opened and the spindle 4 is further inserted. When the tap 7 reaches the through hole 6 of the water main pipe, the spindle 4 is rotated by holding the handle 9, and the tap 7 is inserted further into the through hole 6 while cutting the screw. Since there is a packing 25 between the guide tube 3 and the spindle 4 as shown in FIG. When the tap 7 is screwed to its end, the water stop 8 at the lower end of the spindle closes the through hole 6 and is completely stopped. This is the state of FIG. Thereafter, the handle 9 is removed from the spindle 4 and, as shown in FIG. 4 (e), the old saddle faucet is pulled out using the spindle as a guide, and a new one is installed. After installing a new one, the spindle 4 is pulled out in the reverse order of insertion. Thus, if the tool of the present invention is used, it is possible to easily replace the saddle faucet without shutting off the water main.
[0014]
The saddle water faucet replacement tool of the present invention is not limited to the embodiment shown here. As a structure for attaching the tap 7 and the handle 9 to the spindle 4, a structure used for other existing tools may be used. Although the tap 7 can be used after being additionally machined, a tap 7 may be designed exclusively for the through hole of the water main.
[0015]
【The invention's effect】
If the saddle water faucet replacement tool according to the present invention is used, the saddle water faucet can be easily replaced without shutting off the water main. Water stoppage is completely ensured by the tap and the water stop portion provided at the lower end of the spindle, and the operation can be easily performed by providing a detachable handle.
[0016]
Furthermore, according to the invention described in claim 2, it is possible to cope with through holes of different sizes by exchanging only the tap with one spindle.
