BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an electronic cymbal that simulates an acoustic cymbal.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Conventionally, a disk-shaped acoustic cymbal made of brass, phosphor bronze, or the like is known.
[0003]
FIG. 5 is a diagram showing an acoustic cymbal.
[0004]
The
[0005]
In recent years, electronic cymbals simulating acoustic cymbals as described above have been widely used. This electronic cymbal detects a striking position and striking force by striking a stick or the like with a striking sensor such as a vibration sensor, and controls a sound source based on the detected striking position and striking force to generate a cymbal sound (electronic percussion instrument sound). Since this occurs, there is an advantage that the volume of the hitting sound can be reduced. As such an electronic cymbal, for example, the electronic cymbal itself is made of a hard resin such as ABS, and the impact sound generated from the electronic cymbal itself is reduced. An electronic cymbal (see Patent Document 1) in which two different disc-shaped frames are combined has been proposed. Also, a cushion material is attached to the surface of the disk-shaped metal cymbal and an impact sensor is attached, and an electronic cymbal (see Patent Document 2) that generates a cymbal sound according to the output from the impact sensor, or a disk-shaped metal cymbal. There have also been proposed electronic cymbals (see Patent Documents 3 and 4) and the like in which a large number of small holes are provided in the sound so that the hitting sound (vibration sound) is kept low without significantly impairing the hit feeling.

[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, the above-described electronic cymbal in which the cymbal is formed of a hard resin has a problem that the feeling of hitting is different compared to the acoustic cymbal. In addition, there is a problem that an electronic cymbal that combines two disc-shaped frames is visually uncomfortable.
[0008]
Furthermore, with electronic cymbals that generate cymbal sound by attaching a cushioning material to the disk-shaped metal cymbal surface and attaching a striking sensor, it is difficult to detect the striking position (part) because the vibration wave contains many high-frequency components. Therefore, there are problems such as poor change in timbre. Also, since the output from the impact sensor differs greatly between hitting directly above the sensor and hitting other parts, the sensitivity distribution of the impact sensor is apparently poor, and therefore the impact force is accurately detected. There is also the problem that it is difficult to do.
[0009]
An electronic cymbal provided with a large number of small holes in a disk-shaped cymbal is improved in the hit feeling, but lacks in the improvement in the sensitivity distribution of the hit sensor and the detection accuracy of the hit position.
[0010]
In view of the above circumstances, an object of the present invention is to provide an electronic cymbal with improved hitting force and hitting position detection accuracy.
[0011]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The electronic cymbal of the present invention that achieves the above object is as follows.
A frame with a stepped down extending along the edge;
Covering the upper surface of the frame, the portion covering the step is formed thicker than the portion covering the inner side than the step, a cover made of a soft material compared to the frame,
And a sensor for detecting the vibration of the frame.
[0012]
Here, the cover is preferably a cover whose upper surface is formed substantially flat by forming a portion covering the step so as to be thicker than the step, and in the electronic cymbal of the present invention, In the cymbal, it is preferable that the sensor is provided inside the step of the frame, and further includes a second sensor between the cover and the step. .
[0013]
In the electronic cymbal of the present invention, a step extending along the edge of the frame is formed, and the step portion of the cover is formed thick. For this reason, the vibration of the frame is uniform, and the vibration of the edge portion where the step is formed is suppressed. Therefore, the vibration is attenuated relatively quickly, and even when the electronic cymbal is repeatedly hit, it is possible to accurately detect the hitting position and hitting force for each shot. Further, when the cover upper surface is formed to be substantially flat by forming a portion of the cover that covers the step, the appearance of the upper surface is the same as that of the acoustic cymbal, and the feeling of impact is good.
