本発明は、印字された連続用紙あるいはぺージ単位用紙から得た単位用紙を、順に移送して丁合単位毎にバッファ部で丁合した後、ステープル等で綴じあわせ冊子に製本する製本装置に関する。例えば、前記連続用紙は、両側近傍に沿って長手方向に伸びるマージン切り取り用ミシン目と、一定間隔をおいて幅方向に伸びる複数の裁断用ミシン目とが設けられ、各ミシン目によって区分された単位用紙となる区画内に事項欄があらかじめ印刷され、各事項欄に所定事項が各別にぺージプリンタ(図示せず)で印字されている、そして、この連続用紙は表紙となる1枚の単位用紙と、この単位用紙と丁合すべき複数の単位用紙とが、丁合すべき1丁合単位を成すよう順次連設されている。また、ぺージ単位用紙は、1ぺージを複数に区画し、1丁合単位を成すよう形成されている。

【従来の技術】

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
上記従来例にあっては、前記反転機構が複雑で大型であるため、ユニットも大型化し設置スペースを広くとらなければならないだけでなく、製本機能のみを有するものであったため、専用機化し、用紙を裁断するだけの処理ができないという不都合があった。そこで本出願人は先に、製本装置として、丁合すべき単位用紙が連接されてなる連続用紙あるいは丁合すべき1丁合単位を成す単位用紙が複数枚連接されてなるぺージ単位用紙を供給する供給部と、この供給部から供給された連続用紙あるいはぺージ単位用紙を裁断して単位用紙となす裁断部と、この裁断部から移送された各単位用紙を順次下に繰り入れて各丁合単位毎に丁合するバッファ部と、この丁合した単位用紙を綴じ合わせる綴じ部と、この綴じ合わせた冊子をストックするスタッカ部とを備えた製本装置を提案した。そして、本発明にあっては、前記製本装置におけるバッファ部において、丁合される複数の単位用紙が乱れることなくより一層安定した状態で積層できるようにすることを目的とする。

【課題を解決するための手段】
上記目的を達成するために、本発明は、丁合すべき単位用紙が連接されてなる連続用紙あるいは丁合すべき1丁合単位を成す単位用紙が複数枚連接されてなるぺージ単位用紙を供給する供給部と、この供給部から供給された連続用紙あるいはぺージ単位用紙を裁断して単位用紙となす裁断部と、この裁断部から移送された各単位用紙を順次下に繰り入れて各丁合単位毎に丁合するバッファ部と、この丁合した単位用紙を綴じ合わせる綴じ部と、この綴じ合わせた冊子をストックするスタッカ部とを備えた製本装置であって、前記バッファ部は、前記裁断部から搬入した上記単位用紙が1丁合単位になるまで閉鎖する閉鎖状態と通過させる開放状態に変位するストッパーを有し、前記ストッパーの閉鎖により1丁合単位となるまで順次積層される単位用紙を、該単位用紙の下方に位置する支持ローラと該単位用紙の上方に位置する押さえローラとで挟み込み保持し、前記押さえローラは単位用紙の積層嵩に応じて上下移動可能に設けられ、前記ストッパーが開放状態に変位したときに前記支持ローラと押さえローラが所要の待機位置で待機する構成としたことを特徴とする製本装置を提供して、上記目的を達成するものである。

前記押さえローラ32は前記第2支持ローラとで単位用紙2a,2bを挟み込み保持するように設けられていて、搬入された単位用紙2a,2bをその積層嵩に応じて上方に移動しながら上から押え、前記第1、第2支持ローラ30,31の回転駆動で単位用紙2a,2b先端をストッパー28に突き当てて揃える動作を補助する。
また、前記ゲート29は、ほぼL字状に折曲した前記ストッパー28と、このストッパー28の一端部を固定し、アーム33を有する回転軸34に回転変位可能に支持され、図3において引張バネ35によって時計回りに付勢された支持部材36と、前記アーム33を反時計回りに回転するよう押し出すシリンダー37と、このシリンダー37とは反対側からモード固定部材38を介して前記アーム33を時計回りに回転するよう押し出すシリンダー39とから構成する。
