本発明は発泡成形容器の養生用寸法規制装置に関し、成形後の発泡成形容器が寸法変化を生じないように使用するものに関する。

【従来の技術および発明が解決しようとする課題】
従来より、大型の発泡成形容器の場合、成形後、原料の新旧、成形条件、成形後の乾燥時間、乾燥方法等の要因で乾燥室等での養生中に周側壁の下方側となる底側では樹脂があるため内方への収縮が生じ易く、発泡成形容器の上方開口側は樹脂がなく空洞であるゆえ収縮は少なく、上記下方側の収縮に対応して外方へ開き易くなる。そのため、発泡成形容器の寸法挙動が予測できず、上下寸法差が大きくなり易く、許容範囲内の寸法変化にとどまらなくなり、不良品が発生してしまうおそれがあった。

特に、発泡成形容器がプラズマディスプレイ基板(以下PDP基板と称す)等精度の高い基板類を収納できる縦方向の溝を内側面に形成したものでは、寸法の安定化が非常に要求されていた。
そこで、本発明においては、こうした問題点を解消できるような養生用寸法規制装置を提供することを目的としている。

【課題を解決するための手段】
上記従来の課題を解消し、本発明の上記目的を達成できる発泡成形容器の養生用寸法規制装置としては、請求項1に記載したように、互いに対向する規制主材に対して、少なくとも両端部にボルト締結部を有する調整杆を接続して枠体を形成し、当該枠体にて成形後の発泡成形容器の少なくとも上端側を囲繞して養生中の寸法規制を行えるようにしたことを特徴としている。

上記本発明による養生用寸法規制装置によると、発泡成形容器の少なくとも上端側は囲繞されて容器底部側で収縮を生じて容器開口側を拡開方向へ寸法変化させようとするのを確実に阻止し、養生時の寸法安定化をはかることができる。
特に発泡成形容器がPDP基板を1枚ずつ縦方向の溝内に収容できるよう内側面に多くの溝を成形した容器の場合にも、寸法安定化によりPDP基板の入る溝の寸法安定化にも貢献でき、PDP基板の収容に適した発泡成形容器が提供できる。

実施上、上記した規制主材20,20と調整杆30,30との接続による枠体を使用した容器1への締付けは、上端側の1箇所だけで行う実施態様を図示したが、容器の深さや大きさの関係で複数箇所にわたって容器1の外側を囲繞して実施してもよい。

本発明による養生用寸法規制装置の使用により、発泡成形直後の容器のうち、乾燥養生時に容器下方側となる底部側の収縮に伴い、外方へ拡開しようとする容器の少なくとも上端側となる開口側の寸法規制を確実に果たせることになり、容器の上下寸法差を許容範囲内に規制し、良好な発泡成形容器を提供できることになる。
