【発明が解決しようとする課題】
集成材を製作するためのチェ−ンコンベヤ等を利用した搬送装置では、ワ−クWを次の工程に移動させるため別個の送材装置に移し替えなければならないことが多い。その場合、図5に示すように、或る搬送装置23の下側に設置したコンベヤベルト等の搬送装置(図示省略)の上に送りバ−22で送材されるワ−クW,W,・・・を自由落下させ次の加工装置に搬送する方法が最も簡単である。

ワ−クW,W,・・等は、その端部加工方法によっては、ある搬送装置から次の搬送装置へ移し替える際そのままの状態、即ち、ワ−クの表と裏を返すことなく元の搬送状態のまま平行移動させなければならないことがあるが、元の搬送状態のまま次の搬送装置に平行移動させることは極めて難しい。

即ち、この発明は上記する課題を解決するために、請求項1に記載の発明は、駆動ロ−ルの両側に設けたスプロケットにチェ−ンを巻き掛けると共に、該チェーンとチェ−ンとの間には所定間隔で送りバ−を架設して、これらのチェ−ンをエンドレスに駆動してワーク(W)を搬送させるように構成してなる板材の搬送装置において、
前記駆動ロ−ルに設けた両側のスプロケットに巻き掛けられ且つ半円状に曲折されるときの両側のチェ−ンの曲率半径を、前記駆動ロ−ルの曲率半径よりも小さく形成することにより、駆動ロ−ルの外周面が、曲折されるチェ−ンの外周面より外側に位置するよう形成し、更に、前記駆動ロ−ルの表面には前記チェ−ンがスプロケットに巻き込まれるとき、前記送りバ−が沈み込み且つワーク(W)だけが該駆動ロールの表面に載る複数本の溝を周方向一定間隔に設け、該駆動ロールの前側上部には、一定の幅を有するシュ−トを斜め下方向に設置したことを特徴とするものである。

【発明の効果】
以上詳述したように、この発明の板材の搬送装置によれば、送材されて来るワ−クを容易にそのままの状態で、即ち、ワ−クを移し替える際裏返すことなく平行にそのままの状態で次の搬送装置に転送することができる。従って、加工中のワ−クをそのままの状態で次の加工工程へ搬送しなければならない場合、別個にワ−クの搬送状態を維持するための移送装置を途中に設ける必要がない上、極めてスム−ズに搬送することができる。また、この板材の搬送装置をワ−クの搬送システムに組み込むことにより円滑で安価な搬送システムとすることができる。
