BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a reading apparatus that can be used for a copying machine (analog, digital copying machine), a scanner, and the like, and more specifically, a configuration in which a traveling body equipped with a reading unit stably slides on a guide surface. Related to the reading device.
[0002]
[Prior art]
A reading device equipped in a conventional image scanner device places a document on a document table, scans the placed document surface with a reading means mounted on a carriage, and displays figures, characters, etc. displayed on the document surface. Read image information. In such an apparatus, a lens and a photoelectric conversion unit (consisting of reading by a CCD and its output processing circuit) in the elements constituting the photoelectric reading means are fixedly installed on the frame side of the apparatus, and the scanned document surface is scanned. An optical system such as a light source (lamp) and a mirror for transmitting an image to a lens and a photoelectric conversion unit is mounted in two carriages that slide on the guide surface of the guide rail, and the first carriage is placed on the document surface. A two-carriage system is generally used in which scanning is performed at a scanning (scanning) speed and the second carriage is moved at half the speed. The relationship between the speeds of the first and second carriages is a condition for making the distance (conjugate length) from the document surface to the CCD constant (see the description of FIG. 1 described later).
[0003]
By the way, in the image scanner device, a method using a wire is conventionally known as means for driving two carriages (see FIG. 2).
In this wire-type drive mechanism, a wire is wound around a drive pulley attached to a drive shaft driven by a motor to transmit a driving force. After being wound around the drive pulley a plurality of times, each end of the wire is wound around the pulley of the second carriage via a driven pulley provided on both the left and right sides and fixed. The first carriage is fixed to the wire thus wound, and the fixed first carriage is driven and moved at the linear speed of the wire in accordance with the input from the drive shaft, and travels for reading scanning. The second carriage moves accurately at half the wire speed because the pulley acts as a moving pulley.
Each carriage driven by the wire system is supported by sliding members provided at both ends of the carriage on guide rails arranged on both sides of the read image, and from one driving source. A system corresponding to each guide rail through a transmission mechanism (wire or the like), that is, each end of the carriage is pulled separately through wires wound around drive pulleys provided at both ends of the drive shaft. It is driven by transmitting the driving force to the carriage divided into the wire drive systems, and slides on the guide rail. At this time, the sliding member supports the carriage at three points and travels along the plane of the guide rail, so that correct operation is theoretically guaranteed, but in reality, the carriage is driven by the wire driving force and the sliding member. When a resistance force is applied and acceleration is applied, such as during travel acceleration, a rotational moment is applied to cause a shake such that the one-point support side of the carriage is tilted.
[0004]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
In order to prevent the occurrence of run-out during such travel, the sliding members are provided at four locations and designed with four-point support, and the position where the driving force by the wire acts on the carriage is selected. Thus, the occurrence of vibration can be prevented to some extent by balancing the moment generated by the driving force and the rotational moment by the resistance force generated by the sliding member and canceling the rotational moment.
However, in practice, the design cannot be performed as calculated, and in reality, the shake cannot be completely eliminated.
The present invention includes a guide rail provided on both sides of a reading target, a traveling body equipped with a reading unit that slides on the guide surface of the guide rail, and a driving force from a driving source to the traveling body via a transmission mechanism. It was made in view of the above-mentioned problems in the conventional reading device provided with traveling body drive means that transmits the information separately to the system corresponding to the guide rail, and its purpose is to the traveling body during acceleration traveling as in the past. Even when shake occurs, the guide image on the side where the influence of the shake appears greatly in the reading result, i.e., the guide rail on the drive system side where the driving force is transmitted earlier, does not cause shake, and the read image is distorted. It is an object of the present invention to provide a reading apparatus capable of minimizing the image quality and an image processing apparatus including the reading apparatus.
[0005]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
According to a first aspect of the present invention, there is provided a guide rail provided on both sides of the object to be read, a sliding member in contact with the guide surface of the guide rail, a traveling body on which the reading means is mounted, and a mechanism for transmitting a driving force from a drive source And a driving means for sliding the traveling body by transmitting it to the traveling body by dividing it into a system corresponding to each guide rail through the sliding member in the moving direction with respect to each guide rail. A plurality of sliding members supporting the traveling body on the guide surface by the sliding member, and biasing the center of gravity of the traveling body toward the guide rail side of the drive system in which the driving force from the driving source is transmitted earlier. This is a featured reading device.
[0006]
According to a second aspect of the present invention, in the reading apparatus according to the first aspect, the sliding members are provided at four corners of the traveling body.
[0007]
According to a third aspect of the present invention, in the reading device according to the first or second aspect, a lamp and a driving circuit board for the lamp are mounted on the traveling body, and the deviation of the center of gravity of the traveling body is determined by the This is performed by arrangement.
[0008]
According to a fourth aspect of the present invention, there is provided an image processing apparatus comprising the reading device according to any one of the first to third aspects.
