本発明は、建築工事現場、建築物の天井や壁面などの内外装作業、電気配線作業などで使用される可搬式作業台、詳しくは、長方形状の天板に梯子状の主脚を折り畳み可能に設けた可搬式作業台の改良に関する。

【従来の技術】
従来、建築物などの天井、壁面などの作業には、図17に示すように、長方形状の天板3にステップ5をそなえた梯子状の主脚4、4を設けた作業台(足場)2が使用されている。(実開平6−56321号公報他)

本発明は、天板に梯子状の主脚を折り畳み可能に設けた作業台における上記従来の問題点を解消するためになされたものであり、その目的は、例えば、長さが1,300〜1,800mm、幅が250〜500mm程度の縦長の天板寸法をそなえ、高さが2m以下程度の可搬式作業台において、従来の可搬式作業台の構造を大きく変えることなしに、天板に載って作業を行う場合における作業の安全性を大幅に向上させた可搬式作業台を提供することにある。
