The present invention relates to a redundant axis position determination method for a redundant robot. More specifically, the present invention relates to a method for providing a condition for constraining a redundant axis of a redundant robot.

[0006]
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION Accordingly, an object of the present invention is to provide a redundant axis position determination method for a redundant robot capable of determining an appropriate position of a redundant axis and interpolating a linear motion during arm operation.
[0007]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to achieve this object, the redundant axis position determination method for the redundant robot according to the first aspect of the present invention has two rotatable arms sequentially connected to the moving members constituting the redundant axis via joints. and, in the redundant robot redundant axis positioning method which will have the will to the redundant degrees of freedom in the plane in which the arm case linearly operating a predetermined position on said arms, two overlapping arms connected to each other physician For the singular point that is the predetermined position of the robot arm at this time, the trajectory of this singular point is obtained by moving the redundant axis, while the moving direction of the predetermined position with respect to the given target position is determined as the access direction, The position of the redundant axis is obtained with reference to an intersection formed by a straight line passing through the target position and parallel to the access direction.
Therefore, the redundant axis is set at the optimum position so that the linear motion at the predetermined position of the robot arm is interpolated. When the redundant axis is set and fixed in this manner, the arms other than the redundant axis can be rotated so that the predetermined position of the robot arm passes the intersection. The intersection is formed by a singular point trajectory and a straight line passing through the target position and parallel to the access direction. When the redundant robot operates, a predetermined position of the robot arm passes through this intersection. It is possible to avoid situations such as being unable to operate through a singular point and becoming inoperable or causing dynamic movement.
[0008]
The access direction introduced here is a concept for representing the movement direction of a predetermined position other than the redundant axis of the redundant robot, and specifically represents the main movement direction in the movable area of the arm tip. For example, when a workpiece is conveyed by a redundant robot, the workpiece can be moved in any direction by combining the movements of the arms. Here, the main moving direction, that is, the direction in which the workpiece is to be conveyed is defined. The redundant axis is set at an optimal position so that the linear trajectory passes through the singular point when the workpiece (or arm tip, etc.) moves parallel to the access direction, and the linear motion at a predetermined position other than this redundant axis is interpolated. I try to do it. By interpolating the linear motion in this way, when the redundant robot is operating, a predetermined position other than the redundant axis cannot pass through the singular point, and it becomes impossible to operate, or dynamic motion is generated. A situation such as falling off is avoided.
[0015]
In the redundant axis position determination method of the redundant robot according to the second aspect , the singular point locus is set with a region to be calculated so as to intersect only one point with a certain straight line parallel to the access direction. Therefore, the optimum position of the redundant axis is uniquely determined by the target position and the access direction.
[0016]
In the redundant robot position determination method of the redundant robot according to the third aspect, the angle θ1 of the straight line connecting the center of the singular point locus and the intersection is obtained, and the angle of the redundant axis is set equal to the angle θ1. By setting and fixing the redundant axis in this way, the arms other than the redundant axis can be rotated so that the predetermined position of the robot arm passes the intersection.
