【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a heavy-load pneumatic bias tire used for industrial vehicles and the like, and more particularly, heavy-load air that prevents the carcass layer from breaking cords without causing a decrease in productivity or an increase in cost. Related to biased tires.
[0002]
[Prior art]
In general, a pneumatic tire having a bias high ply structure is used in low-speed, high-load industrial vehicles such as a transfer crane, a container handler, and a log handler. In such a tire, a plurality of sets of bead cores are arranged in the left and right bead portions, and many carcass layers are mounted between the bead cores while folding both end portions around the bead cores from the inside to the outside.
[0003]
By the way, in recent years, the tendency to increase the size of industrial vehicles is remarkable, and it is necessary for the heavy load pneumatic bias tire as described above to withstand higher loads. As a countermeasure, conventionally, a large load has been dealt with by greatly increasing the number of laminated carcass layers.
However, due to the further increase in the carcass layer, breakage is likely to occur in the innermost layer side (particularly, the first carcass layer) cord of the carcass layer on the inner side in the tire radial direction from the position of the maximum width of the carcass line where the compressive force repeatedly acts. As a result, there was a problem that a tire failure occurred and the tire life was shortened.
[0004]
Therefore, as a countermeasure, there is a proposal to suppress the cord breakage by using a thin twisted cord that is resistant to compressive stress repeatedly for the reinforcing cord of the carcass layer. However, the use of such a small-diameter cord greatly increases the number of laminated carcass layers, thereby reducing productivity and further increasing costs.
[0005]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
An object of the present invention is to provide a heavy-duty pneumatic bias tire that can be used up to the wear life by suppressing the cord breakage of the carcass layer without lowering the productivity and increasing the cost.
[0006]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The present invention that achieves the above object is a heavy-duty pneumatic bias tire in which a large number of carcass layers are mounted between right and left bead portions and both ends thereof are folded around bead cores. A crossing region between the splice portion and the splice portion of the second carcass layer laminated thereon is arranged outside the carcass line maximum width position in the tire radial direction.
[0007]
In this way, by providing the intersection region between the splice portion of the first carcass layer and the splice portion of the second carcass layer on the outer side in the tire radial direction from the position of the maximum width of the carcass line, the splice portion intersection region where the cord breakage is likely to occur. Since it is possible to avoid repeated large compression deformation during traveling, cord breakage of the carcass layer can be suppressed, and the tire life can be kept long until the wear life is reached.
[0008]
In addition, it is only necessary to change the position of the splice portion crossing area between the first carcass layer and the second carcass layer, and there is no increase in the number of carcass layer stacks due to the use of a small diameter cord as in the prior art. There is no reduction or cost increase.
[0009]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Hereinafter, the configuration of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.
FIG. 1 shows an example of a heavy-duty pneumatic bias tire of the present invention used for an industrial vehicle, wherein 1 is a tread portion, 2 is a sidewall portion, and 3 is a bead portion. A large number of carcass layers 4 of 16 layers or more are mounted between the left and right bead portions 3 inside the tire. The carcass layer 4 is laminated so that the reinforcing cords intersect with each other with the inclination in the tire radial direction opposite to each other. Each carcass layer 4 is configured to have a plurality of splice portions in which carcass layer pieces are joined in the tire circumferential direction so as to overlap their end portions, and the splice portions extend along the orientation direction of the reinforcing cords, The layers intersect with each other with the inclination with respect to the tire radial direction reversed.
[0010]
Three sets of bead cores 5 are respectively embedded in the left and right bead portions 3, and both end portions of the carcass layer 4 are folded back from the inner side of the tire so as to sandwich the
[0011]
In the present invention, as shown in FIG. 2, cross-region C carcass line maximum width position of the
According to the present inventors, as a result of earnestly examining the cord breakage of the carcass layer 4 in tires used in industrial vehicles such as transfer cranes, container handlers, and log handlers, the following has been found.
[0012]
That is, the cord rupture of the carcass layer 4 is caused by the
[0013]
Accordingly, the present inventors have repeatedly conducted various experiments and thoughts and mistakes such as providing a relaxation rubber layer between the first carcass layer and the second carcass layer, and as a result of earnest research, the recent increase in size of industrial vehicles Then, since the load on the tire has become extremely large from about 10 t to 20 to 25 t, the tire is repeatedly subjected to a remarkably large compressive stress on the inner side in the tire radial direction than the carcassline maximum width position P. The tread which does not receive so much repetitive compressive force on the outer side in the radial direction and therefore receives the crossing region C of the
[0014]
In the present invention, the crossing region C of the first and
Further, the total tensile strength of the reinforcing cords per 50 mm width of the first and
[0015]
As the reinforcing cord used for the carcass layer 4, a conventionally known cord can be used, and for example, an organic fiber cord such as nylon can be preferably used.
Although the present invention has shown an example in which three sets of bead cores 5 are arranged on the left and right bead portions 3 in the above-described embodiment, two or more sets may be provided.
The present invention is particularly suitable for heavy duty pneumatic bias tires used in industrial vehicles, such as transfer cranes, container handlers, log handlers, etc., having a rim diameter size of 24 inches or more and 16 or more carcass layers 4 arranged. can do.
[0016]
【Example】
The tire size is shared by 18.00-25 36 ID (industrial vehicle tires), and the intersection C of the splices of the first carcass layer and the second carcass layer is arranged outside the carcass line maximum width position in the tire radial direction. The tire according to the present invention, the comparative tire 1 in which the crossing region C is arranged on the inner side in the tire radial direction from the position of the maximum width of the carcass line, and the comparative tire 2 using a thin reinforcing cord for the carcass layer were produced.
[0017]
Table 1 shows the number of laminated carcass layers in each test tire, the diameter and material of the reinforcing cords used therein, and the tensile strength of the first and second carcass layers inside the carcass line maximum width position in the tire radial direction. is there.
Each of these test tires was mounted on a rim having a rim size of 25 × 13.00 (2.5), the air pressure was set to 1020 kPa, and a durability evaluation test was performed according to the following measurement conditions. When an index value with 2 being 100 was evaluated, the results shown in Table 1 were obtained.
Durability Each test tire is mounted on a large transfer crane that runs under the conditions of an average load of 22t per tire, a maximum of 32t, and a speed of 5km / h, causing tire failure (air leakage due to carcass cord breakage). The travel time until was measured.
[0018]
[Table 1]
[0019]
As can be seen from Table 1, the tire of the present invention can be used up to the wear life without suppressing the cord breakage of the carcass layer without incurring the high cost of the comparative tire 2 using the thin-diameter cord.
[0020]
【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the present invention, in the heavy-duty pneumatic bias tire in which a large number of carcass layers are mounted between the right and left bead portions, the intersection width between the splice portions of the first carcass layer and the second carcass layer is defined as the maximum width of the carcass line. Since it is arranged on the outer side in the tire radial direction from the position, it is possible to avoid a large repeated compression force acting on the splice crossing area where the cord breaks easily, so the cord breakage of the carcass layer is suppressed and the tire life is reduced to the wear life. Can keep. In addition, since it is only necessary to change the position of the splice portion crossing area, the productivity is not lowered and the cost is not increased as in the case of using the small-diameter cord.
