この発明は、大型自動車の工具収納装置に関し、特にトラック等、大型貨物自動車の工具収納装置に関するものである。

周知のように、自動車には車載工具の搭載が義務づけられている。そして、トラックやバス等の大型自動車にあっては、工具も大型のものが必要である。そこで、従来から大型貨物自動車は、前後輪間のフレームに工具箱を取り付けて工具を収納している。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかしながら、大型貨物自動車にあっては、軸間距離が長いため内輪差が大きく巻き込み事故が発生しやすい。このため、フレームの側方床下部分に巻き込み防止バーを配設している。従って、従来の工具箱では、この巻き込み防止バーが邪魔になって、蓋の開閉が旨くできないのが現状であった。
本発明は上記に鑑み提案されたもので、大型貨物自動車に巻き込み防止バーが存在しても、蓋体の開閉に支障がなく、工具の出し入れが容易な工具収納装置を提供することを目的とする。

上記目的を達成するため本発明は、大型自動車の床下側方部分に装着する工具収納装置であって、左右一対の側板と天板と底板と背板とを有すると共に前面に開口部を有するほゞ直方体のケース本体と、上記開口部を閉塞可能な蓋体と、該蓋体を開閉自在に支える回転支持装置と、を備え、上記回転支持装置は、左右の側板に回動自在に枢着される左右の支持腕と、両支持腕を連動させる連動杆とからなり、上記左右の支持腕には、蓋体の開閉回動時に、当該支持腕が開口部の上縁に当接しないように逃げ空部を形成し、開口部を開放するときは蓋体が天板の上方に後退し、開口部を閉塞するときは蓋体が開口部を覆うようにしたものである。

以下、本発明を図示の一実施例について説明する。図1は本発明に係る工具収納装置を設置したトラックの斜視図、図2は工具収納装置の斜視図である。

工具収納装置1は、左右一対の側板21と天板22と底板23と背板24とを有すると共に前面に開口部3を有するほゞ直方体のケース本体2と、上記開口部3を閉塞可能な蓋体4と、該蓋体4を開閉自在に支える回転支持装置5と、を備えている。

左右の側板21は、例えば図4に示すように、前面側がやゝ傾斜するように、側面形状がほゞ台形状の板材である。また、天板22と底板23と背板24とは板材を屈曲させてなる。そして、底板23の前縁を起立させて正面起立部25を形成すると共に、該正面起立部25の上縁を溝状に屈曲させて開口下縁部31を形成する。

一方、天板22の前縁を斜め下方へ屈曲させて幅狭の正面降下部26を形成すると共に、下縁を溝状に屈曲させて開口上縁部32を形成する。また、前記側板21の前縁を内側へ屈曲させて開口側縁部33を形成する。

そして、上記開口側縁部33と開口上縁部32と開口下縁部31とは、ケース本体2の開口部3の周囲に額縁状に位置する。

以上要するに本発明は、大型自動車の床下側方部分に装着する工具収納装置であって、左右一対の側板と天板と底板と背板とを有すると共に前面に開口部を有するほゞ直方体のケース本体と、上記開口部を閉塞可能な蓋体と、該蓋体を開閉自在に支える回転支持装置と、を備え、上記回転支持装置は、左右の側板に回動自在に枢着される左右の支持腕と、両支持腕を連動させる連動杆とからなり、上記左右の支持腕には、蓋体の開閉回動時に、当該支持腕が開口部の上縁に当接しないように逃げ空部を形成し、開口部を開放するときは蓋体が天板の上方に後退し、開口部を閉塞するときは蓋体が開口部を覆うようにしたので、蓋体の開閉時に、当該蓋体がケース本体の前端面よりも前方へ大きく突出することがない。従って、巻き込み防止バーを配設した大型貨物自動車にあっても、工具収納装置を取り付け易く、また工具の出し入れが容易である。また、車体の側面から突出物がなくなるので安全性が向上し、実用的価値の極めて高いものになる。
