Description

【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an acceptance determination device for a game medal or the like that is provided in a gaming machine such as a slot machine or a vending machine, for example, and determines whether or not an inserted game medal or coin is accepted by this machine.
[0002]
[Prior art]
For example, in a slot machine, a game is started by inserting a game medal into the medal slot and operating a game start switch. A gaming machine using such game medals is provided with a medal selector for accepting only regular game medals inserted by an appropriate method. The medal selector is provided with a sorting mechanism for sorting and passing only game medals within a predetermined size range in the first half of the medal passage connecting the medal insertion slot and the machine, and the game medals pass in the latter half of the subsequent passage. There is provided a detector using a photosensor for detecting When the detector detects a game medal, the game medal is accepted by the machine and the game can be started.
[0003]
Conventionally, for gaming machines that use this type of game medal, the game medal connected to the thread is inserted from the medal insertion slot, passed in front of the detector so that the game can be started, and then the thread is inserted. When the game medals are pulled back and pulled back to the medal slot, there is a risk that an illegal game in which the game medals are reused over and over again will be performed.
[0004]
Therefore, in order to prevent the above-mentioned illegal game, as shown in FIG. 5, a plurality of detectors 13 and 14 are arranged in the medal path 7 in the moving direction of the game medal, and the upstream detector 13 outputs a detection signal. If the downstream detector 14 outputs a detection signal after output, it is determined to be normal, and if the downstream detector 14 outputs a detection signal and then the upstream detector 13 outputs a detection signal, it is abnormal. There is a game medal acceptance determination device that performs control so that the game can be started only when it is determined normal.
[0005]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, an illegal game may be played by the following method even for a gaming machine equipped with the above-described acceptance determination device. That is, a celluloid plate A or the like having a width smaller than the game medal diameter is inserted into the medal passage 7 from the medal slot, and the light of the photosensor of the detector is blocked by the celluloid plate A or the like, thereby detecting the detectors 13 and 14. Are sequentially detected to make the game machine ready to start the game, and then the celluloid board or the like is pulled out while avoiding the photo sensor. In this way, it is possible to play a game any number of times without using a game medal.
[0006]
Therefore, an object of the present invention is to provide an acceptance determination device for game medals and the like that can detect and prevent illegal games using such a celluloid board or the like.
[0007]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to solve the above problems, the present invention is configured as follows. That is, the game medal acceptance determination device according to the present invention has an input in the vertical direction intersecting the moving direction of the input such as a game medal on the upstream side and the downstream side of the passage connecting the input port and the machine. In an acceptance determination device such as a game medal for determining whether or not to accept an input based on detection information from the upstream and downstream photosensors, The two upstream photosensors are electrically connected in series, and the two downstream photosensors are electrically connected in parallel.
[0008]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Embodiments of the present invention shown in the drawings will be described below.
1 and 2 show the medal selector of the slot machine. The medal selector 1 includes an inlet 5 on the medal slot side and the main unit 2 between a main plate 2 and a first sub plate and a second sub plate (not shown) provided at an appropriate interval on the front side thereof. A medal passage 7 connecting the outlet 6 on the side is formed. The medal guide rail at the bottom of the medal passage 7 includes a first rail 8 in the front half and a second rail 9 in the rear half. The first rail 8 is provided integrally with the main plate 2, and the second rail 9. Is provided to be movable in the front-rear direction by the second rail operating coil 10.
[0009]
Normally, the second rail 9 is provided on the extension of the first rail 8, and the game medal M is guided by the rails 8 and 9 and moves in the medal passage 7. Further, during the game, during the game settlement, at the time of stopping, etc., the second rail 9 is moved backward by energizing and outputting the second rail operating coil 10, and the game medal M inserted from the medal slot is inserted into the second rail. It falls off 9 and returns to the tray through the medal payout exit.
[0010]
Above the first rail 8, a guide spacer 11 that restricts the passage of the game medal M larger than the regular game medal M is provided. When the game medal M is jammed between the first rail 8 and the guide spacer 11, the game medal M jammed with the canceling plate 12 is pushed out by operating the manual return button, and the game medal M becomes the first rail. It comes off from 8. In addition, the game medal M smaller than the regular game medal falls backward due to its own weight and falls off the first rail 8. The game medal M that falls off the first rail 8 is returned to the tray through the medal payout opening.
[0011]
Above the second rail 9, two detectors 13 and 14 for detecting the passage of the game medal M are provided side by side in the moving direction of the game medal. Each of the detectors 13 and 14 includes two upper and lower photosensors 13a, 13b, 14a, and 14b. Each photo sensor is turned on when there is an input such as a game medal at the observation point, and turned off when there is no input.
[0012]
FIG. 3 is a block diagram showing the configuration of the game medal acceptance determination device. As shown in FIG. 3, the photosensors 13a and 13b of the upstream detector 13 are arranged in parallel in the vertical direction intersecting the moving direction of the game medal. And are connected in series in terms of electrical circuit. When both the photosensors 13a and 13b are both ON, the detector 13 outputs a detection signal. Further, the photosensors 14a and 14b of the downstream detector 14 are also arranged in parallel in the vertical direction intersecting the moving direction of the game medal, and are also connected in parallel in terms of electric circuit, and both of the photosensors 14a and 14b are connected. When any one of them is ON, the detector 14 outputs a detection signal.
[0013]
The detection signals of these detectors 13 and 14 are transmitted to the control unit 15, but the detection signals of both detectors 13 and 14 when the regular game medal M is properly inserted are shown in the time chart of FIG. Is output as shown.
[0014]
The control unit 15 calculates the time (for example, T1, T2, T3, etc. in FIG. 5) that the input passes through the detectors 13 and 14 from the detection signal, and calculates the current passing time and the regular game medal. Is compared with the standard transit time when the input is inserted, it is determined whether the input is moving normally through the passage 7 and the detection signal of the upstream detector 13 and the downstream detector 14 By checking the output timing of the detection signal, it is determined whether or not the input product is suspiciously moving. If there is no abnormality, the gaming machine is set in a state where the game can be started, and if there is an abnormality, the gaming machine is not set in a state where the game can be started, and is output to the error indicator 16 or the like.
[0015]
The cause of the abnormality may be a case where a game medal that is not a regular game medal is inserted, or an object other than a game medal, such as a celluloid board, is inserted into the passage 7 in addition to a machine trouble. It is done.
[0016]
As described above, the upstream detector 13 is arranged in parallel in the vertical direction intersecting the moving direction of the game medal, and both the two upper and lower photosensors 13a and 13b connected in series in terms of electrical circuit are turned on. Otherwise, the output signal is not output, so the upstream detector 13 cannot be erroneously detected with a celluloid plate having a narrow vertical width. Further, as described above, the downstream detector 14 is arranged in parallel in the vertical direction intersecting with the moving direction of the game medal, and any of the two upper and lower photosensors 14a and 14b connected in parallel in terms of electrical circuits. When any one of them is turned ON, a detection signal is output. Therefore, the upstream side detector 13 can be used by any method such as using a celluloid plate having a wide vertical width or a celluloid plate having a variable vertical width. Is detected by the downstream detector 14 when the celluloid plate or the like is pulled back. That is, according to the present embodiment, it is difficult for an illegal game using a celluloid board or the like to be performed, and it can be easily detected when an illegal game is attempted.
[0017]
Although this embodiment includes four photosensors as observation points, the number of output ports is two as in the conventional configuration. Therefore, it is possible to obtain the configuration of the present embodiment without changing the circuit board or the control program of the control unit simply by exchanging the medal selector having the conventional configuration.
[0018]
【The invention's effect】
As is apparent from the above description, the acceptance determination device for game medals or the like according to the present invention has two upstream photosensors electrically connected in series, and the two downstream photosensors electrically With the configuration of being connected in parallel, the vertical detector cannot be erroneously detected using a narrow celluloid plate or the like, so that it is difficult to play illegal games and it is possible to easily detect illegal games.
