Description

【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a portable auxiliary carrier that is attached to a carrier frame that is integrally supported by a body frame of a motorcycle and that expands the load carrying area as needed.
[0002]
[Prior art]
In general, it is desirable for a motorcycle carrier frame to have a large luggage-loading surface so that large luggage can be loaded without difficulty. However, since the carrier frame does not always carry large luggage, the carrier frame itself is enlarged. In such a case, there is a disadvantage in that the normal appearance and the merchantability are impaired.
[0003]
Therefore the carrier frame itself is formed in a relatively small, it, that to attach the auxiliary carrier to expand cargo loading surface from time to time have been proposed (see, for example, real fair 3-53982 JP).
[0004]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, in the above-mentioned proposal, the auxiliary carrier is pivotally attached to the carrier frame so as to be rotatable between the extended position and the retracted position. There is a need to specially provide a fixing mechanism for selectively fixing the rotation position, and there is a problem that the structure becomes complicated and the cost increases accordingly.
[0005]
The present invention has been made in view of such circumstances, and it is an object of the present invention to provide an auxiliary carrier for a motorcycle having a simple structure capable of expanding the load carrying area of the carrier frame at any time without causing the above problems. It is aimed.
[0006]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to achieve the above-mentioned object, the invention of claim 1 is a carrier frame that has a first frame portion and a second frame portion that intersects with the first frame portion and is integrally supported by the vehicle body frame. A portable auxiliary carrier for motorcycles that is detachable from the carrier frame, and includes an auxiliary carrier body that extends outwardly of the carrier frame to form an auxiliary luggage placing portion. At least a pair of main rods extending across the first frame portion and arranged at a distance from each other, and a connecting rod for integrally connecting the two main rods , at the base of both main rods is the fulcrum may engage置係placing across it to the first frame portion on to form a concave shape that the lower side is open, further the base end of the both Shu杆, the carrier body Against moments due to their own weight Engagement pieces that can be engaged with the second frame portion from the lower side so as to restrict the rotation of the carrier body around the fulcrum portion are formed at angles with the main rod, and both The coupling pieces are each provided with a locking step portion that can be immovably locked with respect to the second frame portion in the direction along the first frame portion, and the mutual interval between the two engaging pieces changes. The auxiliary carrier body is elastically deformed so that both the engaging pieces are engaged and disengaged with respect to the second frame portion, and the engaging carrier and the fulcrum portion are engaged with the carrier frame to engage the auxiliary carrier. The main body is supported by the carrier frame in a fixed installation posture.
[0007]
[Operation]
According to the above feature of the invention of the claims, when the attaching the auxiliary carrier to the carrier frame, the main of rod base, a first frame of the carrier frame the fulcrum which is concave curved shape of the lower opening of the auxiliary carrier body The carrier frame so that the engagement piece at the base end of the main rod is restrained from turning around the fulcrum of the auxiliary carrier body against the moment caused by the weight of the auxiliary carrier body. The engagement step portion provided on the engagement piece is engaged with the second frame portion from the lower side so as to be immovable in the direction along the first frame portion with respect to the second frame portion. You just need to. In such a mounted state, although the auxiliary carrier body acting moment on the fulcrum portion around due to the weight of its own weight or loading cargo, the carrier frame and the moment through the engaging piece (second frame portion) Therefore, the auxiliary carrier can be held in a certain and proper installation posture, and therefore, an auxiliary luggage placing portion can be formed on the outer side of the carrier frame at any time and stably by this auxiliary carrier. In addition, when installing the auxiliary carrier, it is not necessary to provide a bearing mechanism for rotatably connecting the auxiliary carrier to the carrier frame or a complicated fixing mechanism for selectively fixing the rotation position.
[0008]
If the auxiliary carrier is not required, it can be separated from the carrier frame and stored in a container of the vehicle body.
[0009]
Further, in particular, according to the above feature of the invention of claim 2, the auxiliary carrier main body is elastically deformed to change the distance between the pair of engagement pieces at the base end of the main body. The second frame part) can be easily engaged and disengaged. Moreover, the engagement state between the engagement piece and the carrier frame (second frame portion) can be effectively retained by the elastic restoring force of the auxiliary carrier body itself.
[0010]

At each base portion of the main rods 8 and 8, there is a concave curved portion 8a as a fulcrum portion that can be placed and engaged with one longitudinal rod 1 (first frame portion) of the carrier frame Cf so as to straddle from above. Each is provided. The concave curved portion 8a may be formed by plastic working a part of the main shaft 8 in a substantially upper semicircular arc shape as shown in the drawing, or when the main shaft 8 has a relatively large diameter, You may form it by cutting a downward ditch on the lower surface of the base.
[0016]
A pair of hook pieces 10, 10 that are substantially orthogonal to the main rods 8, 8 are integrally formed at the base ends of the pair of main rods 8, 8, respectively. The tips are formed inward so that the tips approach each other. These hook pieces 10, 10 are placed on the side frames 2 2 , 2 3 (second frame portion) of the carrier frame Cf so as to restrict the rotation of the auxiliary carrier body 7 around the concave curved portion 8 a (fulcrum portion). The engagement piece of the present invention that can be engaged from the side, which functions as an action point that causes the carrier frame Cf to receive the moment generated in the auxiliary carrier body 7 around the concave curved portion 8a (fulcrum portion). Can be fulfilled. Each hook piece 10 has a locking step portion 10 a that can be locked to the corresponding horizontal ribs 2 2 , 2 3 so as not to move in the front-rear direction (that is, the direction along the vertical hook 1) from the base end of the main rod 8. The locking step portion 10a may be formed by plastic processing a part of the hook piece 10 in a descending step shape or a substantially lower semicircular arc shape as shown in the figure. Further, when the hook piece 10 has a relatively large diameter, it may be formed by cutting an upward concave groove on the upper surface thereof.
[0017]
Thus, since the auxiliary carrier Cs is entirely composed of an elastically deformable frame material such as a metal frame, when the auxiliary carrier Cs is mounted on the carrier frame Cf, the auxiliary carrier body 7 is elastically deformed. If the distance between the hook pieces 10, 10 connected to the base ends of the front and rear main rods 8, 8 is increased, the hook pieces 10, 10 pass through the horizontal rods 2 2 , 2 3 (second frame portion). If the auxiliary carrier main body 7 is restored to its original form by its own elastic restoring force after passing through it, the engaging stepped portion 10a of each hook piece 10 is placed on the side 2 2 , 2 3 (second frame portion) can be locked without difficulty. Also when releasing such a locked state, if the auxiliary carrier body 7 is elastically deformed to increase the mutual distance between the front and rear hook pieces 10 and 10 in the same manner as described above, It is possible to detach from the sides 2 2 and 2 3 without difficulty.
[0018]
Next, the operation of the embodiment will be described. If there is no load to be placed on the carrier frame Cf or if it is small, the auxiliary carrier Cs does not need to be used and is stored in an appropriate storage location such as the tail bag 4. Thereby, there is no possibility that the auxiliary carrier Cs impairs the appearance of the carrier frame Cf, and there is no fear of losing the auxiliary carrier Cs.
[0019]
Further, when a large load (see reference A in FIG. 5) that protrudes to the left and right from the original placement surface is loaded on the carrier frame Cf, a part of the load is below both sides of the carrier frame Cf. In such a case, the rear turn signal lamp Rw may be concealed by the hanging luggage, or a part of the luggage may come into contact with the hot exhaust muffler M. Therefore, when loading such a large load, a pair of auxiliary carriers Cs is taken out from the tail bag 4 or the like, and they are placed on the carrier frame Cf so that the concave curved portion 9a as a fulcrum portion as shown in FIG. Tate杆so that placing the hooks 10 of the and the engagement piece respectively engaged from above on 1 Yoko杆2 2, 2 3 predetermined mounting state of engaged from the lower side, respectively.
[0020]
During this attachment, for example by engaging the front and rear one of hooks 10 (engaging step portion 10a) is first in one lateral rod 2 2, the engagement elastically deforming the auxiliary carrier Cs while maintaining (i.e. pair of main The flanges 8 and 8 are expanded and deformed) so that the distance between the front and rear hook pieces 10 and 10 is increased. And in this state, the other hooks 10 moves the auxiliary carrier Cs until it passes other transverse rod 2 3, then the auxiliary carrier Cs is restored to the original form by its own elastic force of said other hook a piece 10 (locking stepped portion 10a) is engaged with the said other lateral rods 2 3, so that the engaged置係placing the concave portion 9a (fulcrum portion) of each Shu杆8,8 on Tate杆1 If the auxiliary carrier Cs is placed in a substantially horizontal state, the mounting operation is completed.
[0021]
Thus, in the attached state of the auxiliary carrier Cs, the auxiliary carrier main body 7 has a relationship in which the center of gravity of the carrier Cs is deviated outward from the vertical rod 1 even if no load is placed on the auxiliary carrier Cs. In this case, a moment around the concave bent portion 9a (fulcrum portion) that acts to turn the tip portion of the main body 7 overhanging from the carrier frame Cf downward (and hence the hook piece 10 upward) acts. The moment is received by the carrier frame Cf through the engaging portions of the hook piece 10 serving as the point of action and the horizontal rods 2 2 and 2 3 , so that the auxiliary carrier Cs can be maintained in a certain and proper installation posture. Is possible. In particular, when a load is placed on the auxiliary carrier Cs, since the weight of the load is added to the auxiliary carrier Cs, a moment in the same direction as that of the moment acts on the auxiliary carrier Cs. Support is more stable.
[0022]
The operation of removing the auxiliary carrier Cs from the carrier frame Cf may be performed in the reverse procedure.
[0023]
Thus, when attaching / detaching the auxiliary carrier Cs, the hook pieces 10, 10 can be elastically deformed to change the distance between the hook pieces 10, 10 connected to the pair of main rods 8, 8 of the auxiliary carrier body 7. 10 can be easily engaged with and disengaged from the carrier frame Cf (especially, the horizontal frames 2 2 and 2 3 as the second frame portion), so that the efficiency of attaching and detaching the auxiliary carrier Cs can be increased. Moreover, the engagement state between the hook pieces 10 and 10 and the carrier frame Cf (especially the horizontal ribs 2 2 and 2 3 as the second frame portion) is effectively maintained by utilizing the elastic restoring force of the auxiliary carrier Cs itself. Is possible.
[0024]
FIG. 6 shows a second embodiment of the present invention. In this embodiment, the basic shape of the auxiliary carrier body 7 is substantially U-shaped as in the previous embodiment. However, as an engagement piece connected to the base ends of the pair of front and rear main rods 8 and 8, respectively. The shape of the hook pieces 10 and 10 is different from that of the above embodiment, that is, the hook pieces 10 and 10 are formed outward so that their tips are separated from each other. Thus, even in this embodiment, the auxiliary carrier Cs is elastically deformed when the auxiliary carrier Cs is attached / detached. In particular, since the pair of hook pieces 10 and 10 as the engaging pieces are outward, this embodiment is performed. In the example, the pair of main rods 8 and 8 are elastically deformed so as to approach each other to reduce the mutual distance between the front and rear hook pieces 10 and 10. Other work procedures are the same as those in the above-described embodiment, and the same effects as those in the above-described embodiment can be expected.
[0025]
As mentioned above, although the Example of this invention was described, this invention is not limited to these Examples, A various Example is possible within the scope of the present invention. For example, the storage location of the auxiliary carrier when not in use is not limited to the tail bag on the carrier frame as shown in the illustrated example. For example, if the tail back is omitted, put the container in a suitable position on the vehicle body such as under the motorcycle seat. It may be installed and the auxiliary carrier may be accommodated therein, or the auxiliary carrier may be carried directly by the passenger in a bag or the like. In the illustrated example, the engagement piece serving hooks 10, 10 second, but so as to engage the horizontal rod 2 2, 2 3 of the third row, the other transverse rod optionally 2,2 1 You may make it engage with.
[0026]
【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the invention of each claim, since the auxiliary carrier can be attached to and detached from the carrier frame, the load carrying area of the carrier frame can be reduced as needed by attaching the auxiliary carrier to the carrier frame as necessary. Therefore, even if the carrier frame itself is relatively small, a large load can be loaded with the auxiliary carrier without difficulty. Moreover when the mounting of the auxiliary carrier, the main rod base of the auxiliary carrier body, together with the engaged置係mounting the fulcrum and the concave shape of the lower opening on the first frame portion of the carrier frame, of the main lever The base end engaging piece is engaged with the second frame portion of the carrier frame from below so as to restrict the rotation around the fulcrum portion of the main body against the moment caused by the weight of the auxiliary carrier main body , and a locking stepped portion formed on the engaging piece, because it is only Ru was immovably locked relative to the second frame portion in a direction along the first frame portion, or the handling operation is only a good The support structure for fixing the auxiliary carrier to the carrier frame is simple and can contribute to cost reduction. If the auxiliary carrier is not required, it can be separated from the carrier frame and stored in the car body compartment, etc., so there is no risk of damaging the appearance and improving the merchantability of the motorcycle. it can.
[0027]
In particular, according to the invention of claim 2, the auxiliary carrier main body is elastically deformed, and the pair of engagement pieces at the base end of the carrier main body is simply changed to change the engagement pieces to the carrier frame. Since the auxiliary carrier can be easily attached to and detached from the carrier frame, and the elastic restoring force of the auxiliary carrier itself can be used to connect the engagement piece and the carrier frame (second frame portion). Since the engaged state can be effectively maintained, the support of the auxiliary carrier is stabilized accordingly.
