本発明は、ラックのような棚装置と、同様の棚装置またはキャビネット等の什器との連結を簡易に行うことができるようにした連結装置に関する。

【従来の技術】
従来このような棚装置と什器との連結は、例えば軽量棚とキャビネットの場合、それらの製造時に、それらの側板等の決められた高さに連結孔を穿設しておき、それらの連結孔に通したボルトとナットとを締めつけて行っていた。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
上述の既存の連結孔同士の間の連結では、設置する床の状態によっては、互いの連結孔の高さが前後左右に微妙に異なり、位置を合わすのが困難な場合がある。
また、積み上げて設置する場合には、互いの連結孔のピッチがずれることがあり、既存の連結孔が使用できないことが生じ、このため、連結箇所が減少して連結強度が低下することとなる。
さらに、ラック同士ではなく、ラックとは構造の異なるキャビネットとラックとを連結する場合、一方または双方に、新たに連結孔等の加工がどうしても必要となることがあり、それに伴ってキャビネットの内法寸法を侵したり、棚板の取付位置が限定されたり、さらには、連結ねじ等により収容物を傷つけたりするおそれもある。

本発明は、上述の従来の問題点に鑑み、連結しようとする棚装置やキャビネット等の什器に新たな加工を施すことなく、キャビネット等の既存の連結孔を用いて容易確実に連結することができるようにした簡易な連結装置を提供することを目的としている。

【課題を解決するための手段】
本発明によると、上記課題は、次のようにして解決される。
(1) 四隅に支柱を配した棚装置の一側部の前後の支柱間に延びる上下移動可能な連結材の前後両端部に、前記支柱の少なくとも一部分に係合する係合部を形成し、かつ該連結材の中間部には、前記棚装置の側方に隣接する什器の側板等にねじ止めするための連結孔を設け、さらに前方の支柱の後面または後方の支柱の前面に開口を設け、この開口に前記連結材の端部を嵌合し、連結材の前記係合部を、支柱の開口縁に形成したフランジに係合させる。

【発明の実施の形態】
図1においては、ラック状の組立式の棚装置(1)を、キャビネット(2)の側方に並置して連結する例が示されている。
すなわちキャビネット(2)の側板(3)と、これに隣接する前後の支柱(4)(5)の外面が形成する棚装置(1)の側面とを、本発明の連結装置により連結する。

【発明の効果】
本発明によれば、連結材は連結作業中支柱に引っかかるだけで、支柱に固定はされないので、高さ方向に関しては相手方の什器の連結孔の位置に合わすことができるので、アジャスタなどの微調整の部品を必要とせず、また現場での孔明け加工などの手間も要せず、しかも高さの違うもの同士でも簡単かつ確実に連結することができる。

連結材の端部が支柱内に嵌合して、外部に露呈しないので体裁がよく、また、連結材の係合部が係合するフランジを、支柱における棚板支持用のブラケット等を係止するための係合孔から離して設けることができるので、連結材が棚板取付位置に制限を生じさせることがなく、棚板を所望の高さに支持することができる。
