本発明は、扉等の建具に係わり、より詳しくは、上下左右枠で構成される枠体に戸体を建て込んでなる建具であって、縦枠の開口側に室内側に入り込んだ段差部を形成し、上枠の端面を縦枠に突き当てて接合させる構造の建具における縦枠の段差部と上枠との間の隙間の閉塞構造に関する。

請求項1によれば、上下左右枠で構成される枠体に戸体を建て込んでなる建具であって、縦枠の開口側に室内側に入り込んだ段差部を形成し、上枠の端面を縦枠に突き当てて接合させ、縦枠の前記段差部と上枠とによって隙間を形成し、縦枠の上端部を覆うキャップに下方に延出する延出部を一体的に設け、前記延出部を前記隙間に嵌合することにより前記隙間を閉塞し、上枠の端面を略面一状に形成したので、上枠の端部に前記段差部を閉塞するための突出部を設ける必要がなくなり、上枠の端面を略面一状にすることができ、上枠の加工工程が簡単になる。また、前記隙間がキャップの延出部により閉塞されるので、外観を損なうこともない。
