従来、非発泡性エアゾール整髪用組成物は、一般に原液及び噴射剤が単一相から構成されているが、原液と噴射剤の相溶性が高いため、噴射圧を所定以上にするためには、液化石油ガス、ジメチルエーテル等の噴射剤を多量に使用する必要がある。更に、非水系(溶剤:アルコール類、噴射剤:液化石油ガス)のヘアスプレーにおいては、アルコール類が実質的溶剤となり、価格の点で問題があった。また、使用可能なヘアスプレーを得るためには、単一相を形成するように、噴射剤の種類、水と噴射剤との割合を設定し、かつ当該単一相に溶解し得る樹脂を選択しなければならないという問題があった。更に、単一相とした場合、吐出物に噴射剤が含まれるため、ミストの粒子が微細化し、飛散するため、髪への付着率が低く、成分中最も高価な整髪用樹脂を効率よく適用できないという欠点があった。

しかしながら、特開平3−112918号公報記載の組成物は、噴射剤として内容物中33%以上のジメチルエーテルを使用する必要があるため、環境面で問題がある。また、この組成物は、用時振盪が必要であり、かつ原液とともに噴射剤であるジメチルエーテルも吐出されるため、ミストの粒子径が小さくなり、髪への付着率が低く、成分中最も高価な整髪用樹脂を効率よく適用できないという問題がある。

本発明のエアゾール整髪用組成物は、ビニルピロリドン/酢酸ビニル共重合体、アルコール類及び水を含有する原液相と非溶解性噴射剤を含有する噴射剤相との二相からなるエアゾール整髪用組成物であって、吐出物がミスト状になるエアゾール整髪用組成物である。

本発明においては、整髪用樹脂として、水/アルコール類への溶解性が良好でエアゾール剤にしたとき非発泡で噴射され、セット力、使用感に優れたビニルピロリドン/酢酸ビニル共重合体、例えばPVP/VA E−335、PVP/VA E−535等を用いる。
アルコール類としては、好ましくは一価低級アルコールが挙げられ、かかる一価低級アルコールとしては、例えばエタノール、変性エタノール、イソプロピルアルコール、n−プロピルアルコール、好ましくは変性エタノール、イソプロピルアルコールが挙げられる。

本発明に用いる非溶解性噴射剤とは、水に対する溶解度が0.5%以下の噴射剤をいい、耐圧容器内で液状であれば、特に制限はなく、例えば炭素数3〜5の炭化水素(例えば液化石油ガス、プロパン、ブタン、イソペンタン)、1,1,1,2−テトラフルオロエタン(HFC−134a)、1,1−ジフルオロエタン(HFC−152a)が単独で又は2種以上を混合して用いられるが、好ましくは液化石油ガスが挙げられる。噴射剤としては、前記非溶解性噴射剤の他、ジメチルエーテルを原液と噴射剤の二相が保てる範囲で併用してもよい。また、前記噴射剤に圧縮ガスを加えてもよい。

本発明のエアゾール整髪用組成物は、吐出させた場合、吐出物がミスト状になるものであるが、そのためには、原液相と噴射剤相でエマルジョンを形成しない組成の内容物を、噴口径0.3〜0.8mm程度の噴口を有するエアゾール釦より吐出すればよい。
本発明のエアゾール整髪用組成物は、ビニルピロリドン/酢酸ビニル共重合体、アルコール類及び水を含有する原液相と非溶解性噴射剤を含有する噴射剤相との二相からなるが、原液相と噴射剤相との二相を形成させるためには、原液相の組成及び噴射剤の種類に応じて、水及び噴射剤、並びに場合により用いるアルコール類の割合を適宜調整すればよい。例えば、アルコール類として95%エタノール、噴射剤として液化石油ガスを使用する場合、図1に示す相図において、二相領域内の組成を採用すればよく、また、アルコール類として95%エタノール、噴射剤としてジメチルエーテル/液化石油ガス=50/50の混合系を使用する場合、図2に示す相図において、二相領域内の組成を採用すればよい。

本発明のエアゾール整髪用組成物において、内容物に対する噴射剤の割合は35重量%以下であることが好ましい。噴射剤の割合を前記範囲内にすることにより、内容物(原液及び噴射剤)を使いきったとき、一方にかたよらずに使用でき、いずれも容器内に残すことなく使用することができ、商品価値及び安全廃棄の点でも好ましく、また使用後の残量を5%以下に抑えることができ、安全廃棄の点でも好ましい。内容物に対する噴射剤の割合は5〜35重量%であることが更に好ましい。

【発明の実施の形態】
本発明のエアゾール整髪用組成物は、耐圧容器に原液を充填して、例えば、図3に示すようなバルブを装着後、噴射剤を充填することにより製造することができる。
ディップチューブの付いたバルブにおいて、そのベーパータップ(横穴)口径面積:アンダータップ(下穴)口径面積の比は0.05:1〜2.0:1であることが好ましい。この比が前記下限未満であると、最後に噴射剤が残り、前記上限を超えると、最後に原液が残る。この比は、0.06:1〜1.8:1であることが更に好ましい。

【発明の効果】
