本願発明は、RCC(リンギングチョ−クコンバータ)スイッチング方式の電源回路に関する。
【0002】

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a power supply circuit of an RCC (ringing choke converter) switching type.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Conventionally, a chopper type switching regulator or a forward type switching regulator has been used as a power supply circuit for driving a DC fan motor, but in the case of a chopper type, the input side and the output side are electrically connected. In the case of the forward type, which cannot be insulated, three transformers and three coils are required, which tends to increase the cost.
[0003]
The operation will be described with reference to the schematic configuration diagram of the conventional forward type switching regulator shown in FIG. 2. An input DC power is applied between an

The secondary and primary ends of the drive transformer 84 are connected to the cathode of the diode 96, the anode is connected to the switching control circuit 95, and the center tap of the drive transformer 84 is connected to the DC power supply Vcc. The primary side and the opposite polarity terminal are connected to a switching control circuit 95.
[0009]
Next, a description will be given of a schematic operation. The input DC power supply applied between the
At this time, PWM control is generally used to control the voltage value required for the load, as described later.
[0010]
During the ON period of the switching transistor 86, the energy of the input DC power supply is transmitted to the secondary side of the main switching transformer 83. In this case the peak value being transmitted is a value determined by the primary and secondary turns ratio of the transformer, and the waveform width load Fanmo - a width determined by the power required of the motor (V M × I M).
[0011]
Since the waveform transmitted with the same polarity during the ON period has the same polarity, that is, the secondary black circle side of the main switching transformer 83 is the positive side, the diode 92 conducts, and the load is smoothed by the choke coil 91 and the capacitor 94, and the load is smoothed. Applied to the DC fan motor.
[0012]
During the off period of the switching transistor 86, the diode 82 conducts due to the reverse voltage generated in the transformer, the energy stored in the input power supply side is fed back, and the transformer is reset.
During the off period, on the secondary side, the current continues to flow through the capacitor 94, the load fan motor, the current detection resistor 97, and the
[0013]
Next, an outline of the operation of the switching control circuit 95 will be described. Generally, the switching control circuit 95 is composed of a PWM control IC (the IC is not described in detail), a resistor, a capacitor, and the like, and oscillates at a set frequency of, for example, 50 KHz. The output of the pulse width determined by the control voltage applied to the
Next, the diode 96 returns the energy stored in the drive transformer 84 during the ON period to the DC power supply Vcc during the OFF period to reset the transformer, as described above.
[0014]
Further, the switching control circuit 95 monitors the voltage of the output terminal 98 to suppress the fluctuation of the output voltage, and also monitors the voltage generated by the load current at both ends of the current detection resistor 97, and narrows the drive pulse width if an overcurrent occurs. The output voltage is being reduced.
[0015]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, in the conventional switching power supply circuit for driving a fan motor, the input power supply side and the output side cannot be electrically insulated in the chopper type as described above. It is necessary to particularly consider the withstand voltage of the fan motor of the load, there is a problem that it is difficult to obtain a low voltage when varying the voltage, and in the case of a forward type as described in the description, a transformer, There are problems that three coils are required and the cost is high, or the space is disadvantageous in terms of substrate design, and it is difficult to change the output voltage to zero voltage.
The present invention has been proposed in view of the above points, and an object of the present invention is to provide an RCC switching type power supply circuit which is inexpensive and has improved reliability using an RCC switching type.
[0016]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to solve the above problems, the present invention employs the following technical means.
[0017]
That is, an RCC switching power supply circuit according to
[0018]
According to this RCC switching type power supply circuit, a switching power supply can be configured with one transformer, and oscillation can be stopped at a low output voltage. In other words, the oscillation frequency is low when the load is large, the oscillation frequency is high when the load is small, and the oscillation is stopped when the output voltage is low so that the operating frequency can be increased. The switching transformer can be further downsized, the switching transformer can be further miniaturized, unnecessary heat generation of the switching element can be suppressed, and the switching element is stopped non-conductively, which is safe.
[0019]
Further, since the primary side and the secondary side are electrically insulated by the photocoupler, the DC power supply and the load side can be separated, which is advantageous for the insulation design of the fan motor of the load.
[0020]
Needless to say, if the load is used not only for a fan motor but also for a water circulating device such as a pump, it is more effective against electric leakage.
[0022]
According to the RCC switching type power supply circuit, in addition to the above-described effects, the switching element can be stopped in a non-conductive state by detecting a drop or disconnection of the voltage of the external DC power supply for the control circuit on the secondary side, thereby providing a safe operation. It goes without saying that the primary side and the secondary side are electrically insulated through the photocoupler.

Therefore, the operational amplifier 60 becomes Hi output and the LED of the photocoupler (2) 61 is turned on through the resistor 58. That is, since the transistor side is also turned on, the voltage of the primary side control power supply circuit 7 (hereinafter referred to as Vd) is passed through the resistor 62. At the initial start, the output voltage is low and the current value of the fan motor is small, so it can be said that the output is low. However, the initial oscillation frequency is 200 KHZ / 5 μs as shown in FIGS. 4C and 4D.
[0042]
Subsequently, to increase the output voltage, that is, it can be said that the current value of the load fan motor increases and the output is high, but when Vcont increases, the relationship between the DC output voltage (hereinafter referred to as Vout) and Vcont becomes smaller than that of the

To further explain the operation of detecting an external DC voltage drop, Vcc is applied to a series circuit of a resistor 66, a resistor 67, and a Zener diode 68. For example, if Vz of the Zener diode is 9V, if Vcc is 10V or more, LED (photocoupler ▲ 3 ▼ 69 LED 1V as the V F of) is oN, the transistor is turned on because the transistor 72 base - scan the transistor 72 is turned off at zero potential, the switching
[0045]
In the above embodiment, the fan motor is described as the load. However, it goes without saying that the load is not limited to the fan motor, and that the DC drive pump can perform variable voltage control and improve the function. If an FET is used instead of the switching transistor, the oscillation frequency can be further increased, and the size of the switching transformer can be reduced.
[0046]
【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the first aspect of the present invention, by using the RCC switching method, a power supply circuit can be constituted by one transformer, and oscillation is stopped at a voltage lower than a voltage required by a load. Even if the operating frequency is shifted to a higher frequency, that is, up to 200 KHZ or more at the time of low voltage output, it is possible to safely stop before control becomes impossible and further reduce the size of the switching transformer, which is advantageous in cost.
[0047]
In addition, when the external DC power supply is abnormal, it can be safely stopped, improving the safety of the system. The primary and secondary sides are electrically insulated by a transformer and a photocoupler, so that the design against load leakage is also advantageous. Become.
