この発明は、空気調和機等に好適な信号伝達システムに関するものである。

図10に示すように、室外機51と室内機52と有する空気調和機53においては、室外機51と室内機52とを連絡線54、55、56にて接続して、双方向の通信を可能にしている。すなわち、室外機51及び室内機52にはそれぞれ通信回路57、58が設けられ、この通信回路57、58が上記連絡線(伝送ライン)55、56にて接続される。このため、通信回路57、58は、図11に示す回路を形成することになる。この回路は、直流電源60、抵抗(R1’)61、スイッチング素子(Tr1)62、受信素子(PHC1)63、連絡線55、抵抗(R3’)64、スイッチング素子(Tr3)65、受信素子(PHC2)66、連絡線56等がそれぞれ直列に接続され、閉回路として形成されている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】

そこで請求項1の信号伝達システムは、一対の連絡線8、9にて室外機5と室内機6とを接続し、この一対の連絡線8、9を含んで構成される閉回路中に、電源11と送信用の第1スイッチング素子13との直列回路と、第1受信素子18とを介設し、上記直列回路と第1受信素子18とのいずれか一方を室外機5に、他方を室内機6に配設し、上記第1スイッチング素子13のON/OFF動作によって上記閉回路を開閉して、第1受信素子18に信号を伝送するように構成された信号伝達システムにおいて、上記電源11と第1スイッチング素子13とを配置した室外機5又は室内機6においては、上記直列回路と並列に第2スイッチング素子24を接続し、上記第1スイッチング素子13がONあるいはOFF状態にあるときに、上記第2スイッチング素子24をこれとは逆のOFFあるいはON状態とするように構成したことを特徴としている。

【発明の実施の形態】
この発明の信号伝達システムの具体的な実施の形態について、図面を参照しつつ詳細に説明する。図1は信号伝達システムの簡略図である。信号伝達システムは、一対の伝送ライン3、3にて空気調和機の室外機5と室内機6とを接続し、この一対の伝送ライン3、3を含んだ閉回路を構成するものであって、第1通信回路部1と第2通信回路部2とを伝送ライン3、3で接続して、この第1通信回路部1と第2通信回路部2との双方向通信を可能としたものである。

この場合、この信号伝達システムは、第1通信回路部1が室外機5の通信回路を構成し、第2通信回路部2が室内機6の通信回路を構成する。そして、3本の連絡線8、9、10にて、室外機5と室内機とが接続され、このうちの一対の連絡線8、9が伝送ライン3、3を構成している。すなわち、連絡線8によって、第1通信回路部1の端子aが第2通信回路部2の端子bに接続され、また連絡線9によって、第1通信回路部1の端子cが第2通信回路部2の端子dに接続されている。また、第1通信回路部1は、直流電源11と、抵抗(R1)12と、第1スイッチング素子(Tr1)13と、抵抗(RL)14と、第2受信素子(PHC1)15と、ツェナーダイオード(ZD1)16とを備え、第2通信回路部2は、抵抗(R3)17と、第1受信素子(PHC2)18と、第3スイッチング素子(Tr3)19とを備える。具体的に説明すると、第1通信回路部1の両端子a、c間に、直流電源11と、抵抗(R1)12と、第1スイッチング素子(Tr1)13との直列接続回路が接続されており、さらに両端子a、c間には、この直列接続回路と並列に、抵抗(RL)14と、第2受信素子(PHC1)15と、ツェナーダイオード(ZD1)16との直列接続回路が接続されている。また、第2通信回路部2の両端子b、d間に、抵抗(R3)17と、第1受信素子(PHC2)18と、第3スイッチング素子(Tr3)19との直列接続回路が接続されている。なお、第1通信回路部1には、電源20が接続され、その端子eが連絡線10を介して室内機5の端子fに接続されている。なお、スイッチング素子とは、例えばスイッチングトランジスタであり、受信素子とはフォトカプラである。

次に上記のように構成された信号伝達システムにおける動作状態を説明する。室外機5から室内機6へ通信する場合、室外機5の第1スイッチング素子(Tr1)13のON/OFF状態を室内機6の第1受信素子(PHC2)18で受信する。この際、第1スイッチング素子(Tr1)13と第2スイッチング素子(Tr2)24とを反転動作を行わせるものである。このとき、第3スイッチング素子(Tr3)19はON状態となると共に、第4スイッチング素子(Tr4)26がOFF状態となって室内機6は受信モードとなっている。すなわち、室外機5から室内機6へ通信する場合には、表1のモード1とモード2とがあり、モード1は図2に示す等価回路で表すことができ、モード2は図3に示す等価回路で表すことができる。この表1及び後述する表2、5、6において、スイッチング素子は導通時をON、非導通時をOFFとし、受信素子は点灯時をON、非点灯時をOFFとしている。

このモード1では、図2からわかるように、連絡線8、9のインピーダンスZsはR1//R3となり、モード2では、図3からわかるように、連絡線8、9のインピーダンスZsはR2//R3となる。

また、室内機6から室外機5へ通信する場合、室内機6のスイッチング素子(Tr4)26のON/OFF状態を室外機5の第2受信素子(PHC1)15で受信する。この際、第1スイッチング素子(Tr1)13はON状態となると共に、第2スイッチング素子(Tr2)24がOFF状態となって、室外機5は受信モードとなる。また、第3スイッチング素子(Tr3)19はOFF状態となる。この際、第1スイッチング素子(Tr1)13と第3スイッチング素子(Tr3)19とがともにONの時に第2受信素子(PHC1)15がONしないようなツェナーダイオード(ZD)16を選択する必要があり、第3スイッチング素子(Tr3)19がOFFの時に第2受信素子(PHC1)15がONする抵抗(RL)14を選択する必要がある。すなわち、室内機6から室外機5へ通信する場合、表2のモード3とモード4とがあり、モード3は図4に示す等価回路で表すことができ、モード4は図5に示す等価回路で表すことができる。

ところで、高速かつ長距離通信を実現するには、連絡線8、9、10の浮遊容量による誘起電圧を小さく抑えなければならず、そのためには、R1を小さく選定する必要がある。

このように、第2スイッチング素子(Tr2)24は、第1スイッチング素子(Tr1)13がOFFしたときにONすることで閉回路状態を維持し、連絡線8、9のインピーダンスZsが高くなるのを防止することができ、高速かつ長距離通信が可能となる。これに対して、第2スイッチング素子(Tr2)24が無ければ、第1スイッチング素子(Tr1)13がOFFしたときに、閉回路が開放され、連絡線8、9のインピーダンスZsが高くなり、第1通信回路部1と第2通信回路部2の通信信号に交流成分が現れる。このインピーダンスZsが高くなれば、連絡線3に電力線(AC電圧)からの誘起電圧が大きくなり、通信の妨げになる。なお、誘起電圧は、連絡線のインピーダンスが高いほど大きく、AC電圧が高いほど大きく、連絡線が長いほど大きく、さらに、電源周波数が50Hzより60Hzの方が大きい。
