本発明は浴室等で使用されるシャワー散水器のシャワーヘッドに関するものである。

【従来の技術】
浴室等に設けられるシャワー散水器のシャワーヘッドは、周知のように内部に通水空間が形成されその前面に多数の小径の散水孔が形成された散水板を取付けてなるもので、普通その散水板面が斜め下向となるように壁面等に支持され使用者の全身に満辺なく散水できるようにしている。

ところで、上記のように壁面に斜め下向に支持されたシャワーヘッドでは、上流側で止水した後でもシャワーヘッド内の上記通水空間に溜っている湯水が散水孔より排出されるまで長時間水滴が下垂り落ちるので、止水が不完全であるように錯覚され苦情が出るという問題があった。またこのために必要以上に止水栓が強く止水操作され故障の原因になるという問題があった。

そこで、特開平3−284367号公報に開示されたハンドシャワーでは、シャワーヘッドの内部空間に隔壁を設けて該隔壁の上部に通孔を設けることでシャワーヘッド内の該通孔から下の残水が下垂り落ちないようにしている。

また、実開平4−114450号公報に示されたシャワーヘッドでは、ヘッド内に給水圧により開弁する逆止弁を設けることで止水操作後に水を速く止められるようにしている。

さらに実開平5−9659号公報に示されたシャワーヘッドでは、散水板の周縁部の散水孔を中央部分のものよりも大径にして短時間でヘッド内の残水が完全に抜け出るようにしている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかし上記特開平3−284367号では、通孔から上の水は下垂り落ちるので実際にはかなりの量の水が垂り落ちるという問題がある。

また実開平4−114450号では、逆止弁に水中の微細なゴミ,異物が付着し作動不良を起し易いという問題がある。

さらに実開平5−9659号公報では、残水が下垂り落ちるのを時間的には短かくできるものの量的には全く変化ないので水を無駄にするという問題があった。

【課題を解決するための手段】
本発明は上記課題を解決しようとするもので、通水空間の前面に多数の小径の散水孔が開設された散水板を設けたシャワーヘッドにおいて、該通水空間を内側室と散水室とに区画する隔壁を設け、該隔壁には前記内側室と散水室とを連通する連通路を設けるとともに、該シャワーヘッドを散水板面が斜め下向となるように係止具に掛けた状態で少なくとも下流側面がほぼ水平になる網状部を前記連通路内に設けたことを特徴とする。

また本発明は上記水垂れ防止シャワーヘッドにおいて、シャワーヘッドを散水板面が斜め下向となるように掛止具に掛けた状態でほぼ同じ高さになる複数の連通路を隔壁に設けたことを特徴とする。

【作用】
シャワーヘッドを係止具に掛けた状態で止水することにより網状部の下流側面がほぼ水平になることで内側室内の残水の重量が該網状部に高低差なくほぼ均一に掛かるようになり、該網状部の下流側面に働く水の表面張力により外気が侵入しなくなり止水時における残水を該内側室内に保持できる。
また通水量を確保するために通水路を複数設ける場合にも、各通水路がほぼ同じ高さになるようにし、残水の重量が各通水路に等しく掛かるようにして表面張力による残水保持を可能にする。

次に本発明の実施例を図面と共に説明する。
図1の実施例に示すシャワーヘッド1は、可撓性のホース2の先端に連結されたもので、該シャワーヘッド1は浴室等の壁面3に突設された係止具4に着脱自在に掛けられる。該シャワーヘッド1の内部には通水空間6が形成されその前面には多数の小径散水孔7が開設された散水板8をその周縁部9を螺合することにより固着している。

一方、図2〜図4に示した実施例は、通水空間6の中心に取付部20を一体に形成し、隔壁10を該取付部20にビス21によつて固設してなるもので、この場合そのビス孔の両側に一対の小径筒状の連通路13を設けている。そしてこの一対の連通路13は該シャワーヘッド1を係止具4に掛けた状態にて同じ高さになるように隔壁10に設けられ、該各連通路13内に夫々網状部14をほぼ水平となるように形成している。この実施例のように連通路13を複数設ける場合には該シャワーヘッド1の掛止時に複数が同じ高さとなるようにすることで、該各連通路13内の網状部14に内側室11中の残水の重量が等しく掛かるようにし表面張力による残水保持力が均等に作用するようにする。なお、連通路13の内径や網状部14の網目の大きさ,形状等は表面張力の大小に影響を及ぼすので内側室11の大きさ等の残水の所要保持量等を考慮して適宜設計される。また、網状部14は多数の小孔を形成することにより網状形態にしてもよいこと勿論である。

このように本発明の構成によれば、表面張力により残水をシャワーヘッド内に保持できるので止水時に残水の垂り落ちる量を少なくでき、使用感が向上すると共に水の無駄な流出を抑えられる有益な効果がある。
