Description

【0001】

[Industrial applications]
The present invention relates to a resin hollow molded article for an intake manifold and a method for producing the same, and particularly to a place where a dimensional accuracy such as a sealing surface or a mounting hole is required, which has a continuous inner surface without any obstruction inside the hollow, and is excellent. The part requiring an appearance relates to a resin hollow molded article for an intake manifold utilizing the characteristics of injection molding and a method for producing the same.
[0002]
[Prior art]
2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, when a bent tubular or branched tubular hollow body is molded, a blow molding method in which a heated parison is sandwiched between two molds and molded is generally used. Such a hollow molding method is advantageous in that the mold cost is low, there is no obstacle inside the hollow, and the degree of freedom in shape is high. However, on the other hand, a method of joining a joint portion with another component is limited, and there is a disadvantage that a flange portion requiring dimensional accuracy cannot be formed.
[0003]
As methods for solving these drawbacks, for example, a blow insert injection molding method, a molten core injection method, a two-shell injection molding method, and a combined injection / blow method have been proposed (Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 63-111031).
The blow insert injection molding method is a method in which a tubular hollow body is obtained in advance by blow molding, and the flange portion is molded with an injection mold, and the dimensional accuracy of the flange portion is excellent.
[0004]
The molten core injection method is a method in which a core (usually a tin-bismuth alloy) is set in a mold, resin is injection molded, and then heated to melt the core to obtain a hollow resin molded product. This is a molding method with excellent inner surface smoothness.
The two-shell injection molding method has a feature that the dimensional accuracy is excellent by a method in which an outer shell divided piece obtained by dividing a hollow body into two is injection-molded, and these divided pieces are bonded by vibration welding or hot plate welding to obtain a hollow body. The injection / blow combination method is an excellent molding method that combines the advantages of the two-shell method and the advantages of the blow molding method by sandwiching a hollow molded body blow-molded with two-shell split pieces and then welding the split pieces. Is the law.
[0005]
FIG. 3 is a schematic sectional view showing a state in which a hollow molded article is molded by a conventional blow insert injection molding method. A tubular blow molded article 1 previously molded by blow molding is set in injection molding dies 2 and 3. Then, the molten resin is injected from the gate 5 into the flange-shaped cavity 4 to obtain a hollow molded product having a flange portion.
FIG. 4 is a schematic cross-sectional view showing a state where a hollow molded product is molded by a method called overmolding, which is a conventional blow insert injection molding method, and is a tubular blow molded product with one end sealed in advance by blow molding. 6 is filled with a granular filler 7 and a plug 8 is set between injection molds 9, 10, 11 and 12, and a gate is inserted into a flanged tubular cavity 13 formed therearound. The molten resin is injected from 5 to obtain a two-layer hollow molded product.
[0006]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, Bed row insert injection molding method shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, with respect to the high pressure during injection molding, there is a disadvantage that blow-molded article is easily deformed.
The molten core injection method has a disadvantage that the weight of the core is large and the equipment including the melting equipment is large. In the two-shell injection molding method, there is a problem in the sealing property because the welding strength of the joint is low and the joint is liable to be broken with the reinforcing material-filled resin.
[0007]
The injection / blow combination method has a problem that the dimensions of the shell of the injection molding and the hollow body of the blow molding are difficult to match, and there is a drawback that the welding margin cannot be obtained or the gap is too large. An object of the present invention is to eliminate these drawbacks of the prior art, to have a continuous interior surface without any obstruction in the hollow interior, and to provide a portion requiring dimensional accuracy such as a sealing surface or a mounting hole and an excellent appearance. It is an object to provide a hollow resin molded product for an intake manifold utilizing the features of injection molding and a method for producing the same.
[0008]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The resin hollow molded article for the intake manifold of the present invention is a blow molded mold in which a hollow molded article is divided into a plurality of outer shell divided pieces mounted in a mold, and the inner layer of the hollow molded article is blow molded, The method is characterized in that the outer shell pieces are fused and integrated in a mold, and the method of manufacturing a resin hollow molded article includes the steps of: After molding by injection molding and mounting the split pieces in a blow mold, blow molding is performed to form the inner layer of the hollow molded article, and at the same time, the outer shell split pieces are fused and integrated in the mold. It is a feature.
[0009]
In the present invention, the hollow resin molded product for an intake manifold includes a hollow molded product blow-molded in the inner layer, and a hollow molded product injection-molded as an outer shell. Although the shape of the hollow molded article is not particularly limited, it is suitable for a hollow article having a complicated shape having a curved tube, a box-shaped portion, a flange portion, and the like. The resin used for molding is not particularly limited, but is generally an engineering plastic, specifically, polyamide (Nylon 6, Nylon 66, Nylon 46, and other polyamide resins), and polyester (PET, PBT, PCT, and other polyester resins). And polysulfide (PPS resin).
[0010]
Further, if necessary, a dye, a pigment, a heat-resistant agent, or a filler, a reinforcing material, etc. may be added. Such a filler, a reinforcing material, more specifically, glass fiber, glass flake, glass beads , Carbon fiber, potassium whisker, silica, diatomaceous earth, alumina, titanium oxide, magnesium oxide, talc, clay, mica, asbestos, walastenite, calcium silicate, calcium carbonate, montmorillonite, bentonite, boron fiber, silicon carbide fiber , Polyester fiber, polyamide fiber and the like can be used.
[0011]
Injection molding and blow molding each have a suitable resin melt viscosity, but the type of resin is not limited. Therefore, the resins used for the injection molding and the blow molding may be different from each other or may be the same. However, heat resistance shell dividing piece by injection molding in the present invention, carried out at high rigidity nylon 66 resin, it is preferred that the inner layer resin is smoothness better nylon 6 resin.
[0012]
Further, the resin constituting the outer shell preferably contains a fiber reinforcing material. As the fiber reinforcing material, glass fiber and carbon fiber are preferable, and the content is preferably 5.0 to 60.0% by weight.
The resin constituting the inner layer is preferably not filled for the purpose of smoothing the inner surface, and may contain an inorganic filler as needed. However, if necessary, the inner layer may have a multilayer structure. In that case, the outer layer may contain a fiber reinforcing material, and the inner layer may contain an inorganic filler.
[0013]
The outer shell divided piece in the present invention has a shape obtained by dividing a hollow molded product having a desired shape into a plurality of pieces, and is obtained by injection molding. The number of divisions is preferably 2 to 4, and more preferably 2. Injection molding of the divided pieces can be performed separately with a plurality of dies, but may be performed with a single mold having a plurality of shapes . How to divide a hollow molded product having a desired shape should be determined in consideration of the easiness of designing and molding an injection mold.
[0014]
The method of mounting the formed divided piece on the blow mold is not particularly limited. For example, when the divided pieces are mounted, a method of mechanically holding the divided pieces in a blow mold or a method of holding the mold by evacuating the surface of the mold is generally used.
The parison of the blow resin is extruded while the blow mold to which the divided pieces are mounted is opened, and then the mold is closed, and a desired hollow body is formed by blowing pressure.
As a result, the divided pieces are welded and joined, and an inner layer formed by blow molding is adhered to the inside thereof.
[0015]
[Operation]
Since the resin hollow molded article for an intake manifold of the present invention simultaneously performs the joining of the divided pieces to be the outer shell and the blow molding of the inner layer, the molding is easy, and the required dimensional accuracy, continuity of the inner layer, and required strength are achieved. Can be satisfied.
[0016]
【Example】
Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. FIGS. 1A and 1B are schematic perspective views of an outer shell divided piece obtained by dividing an automobile intake manifold into two parts, which are obtained by injection molding. As the resin, a composition obtained by kneading 30% by weight of glass fiber with nylon 66 was used. The melting point of nylon 66 was 265 ° C. The upper outer shell divided piece 101a has a semi-box-shaped buffer portion 102a, a semi-tubular suction port 103a continuous in the longitudinal direction, and four semi-tubular delivery portions 104a extending in a direction perpendicular to the semi-tubular suction port 103a.
[0017]
On the other hand, the lower outer shell divided piece 101b has a semi-tubular buffer port 102b and a semi-tubular suction port 103b continuous in the longitudinal direction, and four semi-tubular delivery parts 104b extending in a direction perpendicular to the semi-tubular buffer port 102b. It has a single-plate flange 105.
These upper shell divided piece 101a and lower shell divided piece 101b can be formed by an injection molding machine having two dies, an upper die and a lower die. These are joined so as to close the lid so that the outer shell of the intake manifold can be formed.
[0018]
FIG. 2 is an explanatory diagram illustrating blow molding according to the present invention. The upper shell split piece 101a and the lower shell split piece 101b shown in FIGS. 1A and 1B were set on the inner walls of the blow molds 106a and 106b (the shapes of the split pieces are slightly omitted). The setting in the mold was performed by suction.
Next, the tubular parison 108 was extruded from the extrusion head 107, and the molds 106a and 106b were closed and blow molded at the same time. The parison used was nylon 6 (melting point: 225 ° C.). As a result, the parison 108 deformed and adhered to the inner walls of the outer shell divided pieces 101a and 101b along their shapes.
After cooling, the molded product taken out had a blow molded product adhered as an inner layer, the outer shell had excellent dimensional accuracy by injection molding, and the joints were also neatly fused.
[0019]
【The invention's effect】
The blow-molded resin article for an intake manifold of the present invention has a continuous smooth inner surface with no obstruction on the inner surface because a blow-molded article is present as an inner layer. Since the outer shell is an injection-molded product, portions requiring dimensional accuracy, such as a flange, are precisely formed and have an excellent appearance. Further, since the joining of the divided pieces and the blow molding are performed at the same time, the adhesion between the inner layer and the outer shell is excellent, and the sealing property is excellent due to the inner layer blow molding, so that the molding is relatively easy.
